Hello, per suggestion by adria320, I am posting this in Gen. Forum:All of my FS9 aircrafts' navigation and landing lights have suddenly gone berzerk. Instead of the usual flashing, they have large pixels, or boxes, around them. Also, the same effect happens when smoke is generated (like as touchdown).Otherwise, performance of the game/aircraft good....in fact it appears to have stepped up about 10 fps.Any suggestions of what this light phenomenon might be?Please note in the night shot that the runway and aircraft's landing lights seem to be okay.Thanks,4deucerhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/90223.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/90224.jpg

Hi all,I have had many CTD's last months, and was hopeless to cure the problem. I installed the seasonal patch, checked all of my afcads (with the afcad program, JABbgl and CHKafd programms). Nothing worked. So I did the elemination test (disabled all of my sceneries one by one) and found my problem. Because I allways crashed in the vincinty of Innsbruck Airport, I checked my commercial add on's of Austrian Airports (FSQuality), Geneva 2004 and Zurich 2004 (both FlyLogic). Austrian Airports had a CTD patch on their site. Geneva was ok. In the Zurich 2004 scenery I discovered a faulty BGL. It is the LSZH0031.BGL. I renamed it to LSZH001.BAK and my CTD in the area of Innsbr…

I am trying to install fs2004 again coz my hard drive got wiped, and whenever i get onto disc 3 it has a disc error for a particular bgl? file i believe. It looks like there may be a small scratch on the disc. what can i do?? Thanks

HiI have been having AI parking problems after installing this scenery. The AIs are not parking properly at the ramps or parking spots but parks into the main building or on taxiways or on top of ramps. I have installed the AFCAD file for this scenery for FS2004 in the addon scnenery/scenery folder but doesn't seem to work. I know that this scenery is suppose to be for FS2002 but people had it working without AI problems in FS2004. If anyone has it installed on FS9 could you please give me a brief step by step guide to install the scenery correctly from the original exe file?Thanks

How come when i got to the bahamas where a hurricane is raging the winds are clam with clearish skys? Surely this isnt the real weather.Im i doung something wrong or is it like this for everyone.

I routinely shutdown un-needed processes when I'm doing FS related activities whether it's flying, trying to figure out GMAX, panels or whatever. As a result, I know exactly what processes are running by default.Out of the blue I've had one show up that didn't use to be there and I haven't installed anything. The new one is something called edict.exe.Anyone know what this is? Where it might have come from?BobL

Hello flightsimmers!I've been flying since FS2000 and it was quite a long time since I bought an addon airport for FS9. There's a lot of them out there and I thought you guys could help me. I want nice-looking things but the most important thing for me is frame rate friendly ones and they should be located in Europe since there's where I mostly fly. Which manufaturer is the best you think? Aerosoft? Sim-Wings? Lago? Dream Factory? There's plenty more, I know. Any suggestions? I use PSS A320, A330 and PMDG 737-600/700.Tomas

Hi all,In FS9, when approaching an airport for landing and tune the ILS frequency and set up course, sometimes on the ND I get the reverse behaviour from the CDI example :Tuned frequency xxx.xx and set up course 090 for the runway.When loc and gs are sensed and shown on the ND I will get reverse direction of the CDI and so if say I am on a 30deg right intercept the CDI will show that I have to turn left in order to get on the localiser. In general when this is the case I will also not get any GS indication on the ND.This happens randomly on no scenery in particular and no aircraft in particular either.Anyone encountered this before and knows how to solve it?THanks a lotF…

I'm trying out FS Flight Keeper and I have encountered something that does not make sense.In the criticism I get -1% because strobe and landing lights off during takeoff, below Fl100 and during landing.But this is not the case. I checked and these lights were always on.

Three questions regarding FSPainter:First, what is the status of FSP? I see some of their (old?) models on the PAI website, but is there a body of up-to-date work separate from that?Secondly, does anyone have an opinion on FSP's models versus Project AI offerings, both in terms of quality of the visual and flight model and frame rate impact? Eaglesoft has some nice jets out there and I have the Beechjet400A, the Citation II and the Citation X. These aircraft have pressurization and oxygen systems.I don't know if this has been addressed before but why can't Anoxia be modeled into the sim? CFS 2 and 3 has "red out" and "grey out" so why can't anoxia be modelled? The most recent accident involving this was with the famous golfer, Payne Stewart (?). If the symptoms are left unrecognized it seems the computer screen should turn black and the sim run until fuel exhaustion or until you press CONTROL+ALT+DELETE.ALSO I don't think ATC should let you cruise along at 42000 ft squawking 1200 without attempting to call th…

Guys been watching the progress, but one thing keeps thumping in my head and that is whats the difference between theirs and the one offerd in the Eurowings package. hi folksI'm using UT to compile traffic files for airlines I didn't already have in my flight plan, but in every case except one, when it tries to compile I get the error message Compile Error: cannot write to output file, and then it shows the path to the traffic.bgl file in FS9. What's strange is that I was able to do it the first time but not since. Any ideas?sergio

Where can I find the seasonal CTD fix? I thought I applied this fix once before but Im still getting CTD's, so I guess I didn't do the fix right. How do I know I made the fix work once I find it?

Is anybody aware of a FS2002 or FS2004 compatable aircraft, other than the F-18E, that has an actual hose fo refueling? Freeware or payware.I am looking for something to refuel helicopters with. Thanks!

this is the problem.. in short.. friends computer, running xphome with abosolutly no spyware scanned it through and through.. fresh install fs9..no useless services/programs antivir etc.. running in the background..running the latest drivers computer is a celeron 2.2GHz 512mb Ram with via apollo chipset...he runs a saphire radeon 9600 and get this...he gets an amazing performance from 1 FRAME PER SEC!!! regardless what settings he puts fs9..everything sparse.. no ia no nada.. default cessna this aint right i mean 1fps... any ideas??? anyoneBrian

Two questions for you pilots...Could someone please tell me what thrust-settings (N1) to use on the Boeing 737 & 777 to:1.Begin taxying2.Continue taxyingMy problem is that I seem to apply too much thrust to start moving & then I either keep in too much & end up rolling too fast...or come to a standstill and end up doing a stop-start routine.----------------------------------------------------------------Mouse sensitivity tweak:Is it possible to tweak the mouse-sensitivity settings to make it more sensitive to movement than the sliders allow?
