Hi guys,I am flying Dreamfleet's Cessna CM almost 98% of the time. In DF's model it has no cowl flaps. I a assume in real life it has them but I am not 100% sure. I have never seen a C310 in real life. Anyway I wanted to add them. I simply assigned a cowl flaps switch to an axis with FSUIPC which works fine. You can actually see the engine temp drop when you open them. What I don't know however if the temps are off now as I simply added the colling effect of the open cowl flaps without having the increased temperature rise with closed cowl flaps (someone understands this; sounds a little weird). Should I change an entry in the aircraft.cfg to compensate for this?The more …

HiI'm looking to try and slow down the engine start up sounds slightly,not the actual speed of the sound,but the speed before they go into full start.what I mean is, I want to be able to make the spool up sounds last a little longer before the engines go into full start mode if you know what I mean, eg. make the start up whine last a little longer before the fuel actually goes in and makes the engines go into full start mode.thanks for any help.PS I can do this on the PSS planes, but not on some of the others, I like to use the auto start function from the keyboard and go to out side view and hear them, I have those two great PW sound sets that were posted on the main scr…

Got clearance to take off and did, as I flew to a Class B airport, and wanted to transition, yet I get: Choose airport 1 tune xxx.xx approach...if you click it you get: Click to create or open an IFR Flight plan.....That's it...can get nothing else In FS9 I then have to land without contacting the Class B airport. On one occasion, I was just at threshold of Ry and Jet flew over to land ahead of me, & flipped me upside down on the runway. sometimes a plane is just taking off when I'm on short final....any way to fix this bug? Hi everybody...It seems I have a trouble completing the checkride and obtaining the license.I do almost everything well and I get fired in the landing operations.After descending at 1300ft with 110 heading I then turn on the 170 heading leg. From that moment I do not receive further instructions, she doesn't tell me when and how to turn, so, I do it myself.Wait for the proper time and turn at 080 heading and finally 350 for the final descent but before the final approach she tells me I did not pass the checkride and I'm not bale to complete it.Did I miss something? Is there any tip I have to follow? Does she really gives no further indications?

Does anybody have an explanation for this? The newest control manager software limits my prop adjustment from a low of 29% to a high of 71%. I can uninstall control manager and the adjustment returns to normal ranges but as soon as I reinstall it the limited ranges occur again. I've verified this on both the SF260 and the Seneca V.

Has anyone that purchased the Vansairco 717 actually received the download link? I've been thinking about getting it as I desperately want a good looking 717, but some recent research on the avsim and other forums revealed at least 5 people that bought the plane (and were charged) but never received a download link. Just want to know that status on those people and if anyone actually received the link with no problem. Also, for those that have... do you like?tzadik

Is this sharp looking Pan Am 727 with winglets (http://www.flypanam.com/) one of the last 727s providing regular service within the U.S.?I think this is one of the best looking airliners around. Plus there is always the sentimental factor of the historical Pan Am.I can only hope that the new Dreamfleet 727 will have a Pan Am winglet version. Has anyone heard any rumors?? :-jumpy

Hi, I just recently uploaded the freeware TU-154 froma a Russian (Russian AVSIM?) site. I am so intrigued and eager to fly this plane that I have even begun to learn Cyrilic. The problem I am having right now, is that everytime I change to the engineer's panel, the engines shut down, and I can't re-start or cold-start it either since I get a message saying I have to register FSUIPC (pay). I have no problem with paying for it, and will, but for the moment, I was wondering if anybody who visits this forum, has had a chance to play with this amazing bird, and knows a way around the engines shutting down problem. BTW, FSUIPC site says that there is no need to register (pay) …

Hi!!Recently I bought a new PC, and for some time performance was incredible...I was a very happy flightsimmer...The system specs...CPU: AMD athlon 64 FX 3200MOBO: ASUS SK8VGPU: Creative GEForce FX5900Ultra, 256 MB RAMlast drivers...MEMORY: 2048 MB DDR OS: WinXP SP2AUDIO: Creative SB Audigy 2 (this one overlaps the integrated one, but I still use the int. gameport, to have 2 joyports, one connected to the FF1 MS joystick (from theSB2...) the other to an analog home built controller...(Motheroboard...))(I think other peripherals are not to blame here: scanners, joysticks, speakers...)The issue i've started to have, and continuously getting worst, is that FS gives me errors…

Hi all....today I found a site that had a document that explained thenew BGL file format. It was a pretty well done document in PDF format.Problem is, I cant locate the site to download the file as I found it while at work durring lunch and forgot to send the Link home.Anyone know where I might find this document or another which discribes the new BGL file format?In particular I'm looking for Waypoints and VOR freq's as well as jetroutes and victor airways in the scenery. I need the file format so I can parse the data out.

I had to reinstall FS9. I swear that I had some airports before the reinstall, that I don,t have after the install.Example, I live near KDTW (Detroit Metro), and KYIP (Willow run). I thought KYIP used to be in FS9 before the install. Is there some setting that will give me all airports?, Thanks, Bob

HiI have a strange problem that I wondered if anyone else has noticed. It concerns ATC voice playback. When I switch views to the outside view and then return to the 2D panel, from that point on the voice playback of ATC operates only at half speed (I know - sounds odd). It does not seem to matter what aircraft either standard or add-on. The sim seems to be operating at normal speed in terms of the ATC comms (i.e. the response prompt appears well before the person stops speaking) so it is just the playback of the wave file that is running slow and not the sim itself.Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

I thought I would ask here if anyone knows or has experienced movement in there throttle controls. When I am flying FS2004 I get spikes or jumps in the Throttle, Prop and Mixture controls. Visually you see the controls jump and sometimes they will move a little. Especially the Prop Pitch. I was hopeing someone might know a fix to this.Thanks allMitch

I've been wanting to fly a P-3 thru one of the recent hurricanes that have hit florida but when i load the jeppesen weather,,,no hurricane ,,i pick a location near the fringe of the hurricane,,or in the hurricane,but don't get anything like what i should. went to Jamaica tonight,,,should be really windy there now,,but got 0 ws @ 180....any enlightenment would be appreciated Many Thanks Gerald

HelloWhen I start a flight my aircrafts are sinking into the ground (also the AI planes) do the same thing. Sometimes I can setup a flight and the aircraft looking good on the ground, but after a while or when I jumo into another aircraft it goes into the ground. This have happen when playing multi player gameshad to re-install again and again

Why is FS2004 called "FS9"? Shouldn't it really be FS10? I've got the boxes back to FS5 and when I counted, I found that it should be 10. just wondering.
