Hello Simmers,When looking out from the flight-deck in both 2D & VC modes..I know that you can Increase or Decrease the "seat height" by keying in "shift-enter and shift-backspace".The problem is that when I do that the "movement" is a LARGE Increment in the "height"...eighter Too high or Too low.Is the a way to make the increment gradual?Thanks and happy simming.P. FS9 began misbehaving recently for no apparent reason. The simulator momentarily freezes/stutters then continues as normal. This behaviour only lasts for 1-2 seconds, but what is most baffling is that it only occurs when a particular direction comes into view. This direction also seems to depend on location.For example, rotating the spot camera is particularly troublesome. I can be flying over South East England, and then whenever the camera is rotated to look directly West, the sim will choke for a moment then recover.Nothing has changed with my system or the game, so it

Good morning.Just wondering if anyone has their sim set at 60 fps or higher?I read over the weekend that the "ideal" setting was 60fps or higher as the human eye can't detect flickering beyond this point.Before I go and spend hours re-jigging my machine to see if it makes any difference, I was curious to see any comments here.Sounds like a lot of "non-flying" time for potentially nil benefit....Cheers from New ZealandTim

Has anyone been able to find and modify the entry in the .air file that will enable the Aerodesign EGT to function properly when using the PSS panel alias?I know there have been posts suggesting that the .air file value for EGT Scale be changed. However, when I view the airfile using the older and only version of AirEd that I can find, this entry does not exist.I would like to try this bird using the PSS panel and am a bit frustrated regarding the air file.Has anyone solved this? Would anyone wish to share the modified air file via email?Finally, do the flap settings need modification as I suspect they would.Thanks

My system is fairly new and when I moved all sliders to max I pretty much got what I expected - good performance and good image quality. I have mesh, autogen, all textures at absolute max. I also have USA Roads and FS Water. The only thing I have off are terrain shadows. But one issues remains - terrain which is morphing right in front of you - either mesh it popping or high resolution textures are "popping out". I played with both DEFAULT and EXTENTED terain RADIUS in the CFG file and clearly the settings recommended by OneTinSoldier in his acclaimed tweak guide give you best result but still - I wish those very quick, 1/20 sec 'popping' events were not there. I've come accross a very annoying problem with FS and the way it displays aircraft panels. In short, up to yesterday, I've been used to have a 4:3 ratio monitor (i.e. 1024x768 screen resolution). Of course, the whole panel engine in FS is designed also for 4:3 screen ratios, and all aircraft panels I know of, have a 4:3 ratio bitmap (most have a panel bitmap of 1024x768 pixels).(NB: all this don't apply to 3D VC. I'm looking at creatinga scenario where I have a random engine failure (limit 1 engine failure of 2, or limit 1 engine failure of 4).I want the failure to occur 2 to 5 minutes after the start ofthe scenario, or 5 miles from the airport.Can anyone out there help? I just bought the SSTSim Concorde and I must say it's a great peace of software. The only problem I find is what I find when anyone does sound for the Concorde, they make the internal sounds sound as if your sitting right on top of the engines. It should only be loud in the cabin when the afterburners are heated up. I've flown in the 727 which is a loud aircraft in it's own right and found the farther forward you are in the cabin the less you can hear the engines (same goes for the DC9). What should be heard here is a moderate hum as well as significant wind noise. Wind is usually heard over engines when the powerplants are located in the rear of the aircraft and your …

I have tried to figure this out on my own, but can't. When changing my heading with the selector, the heading changes by 10 degrees rather than one.For instance, if I am heading 080, and press my heading knob to try and go to 085, the heading will jump up to 090! How in the world do I get this thing to rotate every one degree and not ten?Help is appreciated... :)

For some reason when flying an IFR flight. I do not recieve the voice of the controller when they are issuing me the landing runway information. It is being issued but just not heard. Anyone else had this problem.

First of all, a suberb rendition by Calclassic. And the L-049A just left me speechless. About the DC-6B.I applied the updated air file for greater compatibility for FS9 seeing that this is a FS2K2 AC. When set to level flight via the AP, the attitude of the AC is nose down, I am guessing about 1 to 3 degrees. I tried different settings for the wing incidence in the AC cfg file, both positive & negative from 0.0, with not much success in getting the AC to fly level at a sustained altitude.My question: Are there any other parameters that can be adjusted to make this AC fly either level or with a slightly nose up attitude?ThanksChris
