A couple of days ago I tried this program for online flying, and I'm in love. This is what it's supposed to be like. No lag and easy to connect...no more of that horrible start sequence that SB has, and if you don't start SB in the exact order it's a no-go, well almost - just one click and your connected. Plus they say that it will connect to vatsim too...I guess I just wanted to hear everyone elses experience with this piece of software. I would love to see how it handles a lot of pilots, because right now there's not too many flying on there test server, so if anyone wants to try it I would love to go flying also.-Mikkel

I'm curious. Let's say that up to $200.00 for a FS addon aircraft was a marketable reality...that enough simmers could and would pay up to 200 bucks for an excellent jet or GA airplane. Would there be a marked difference from what we have now in the $25 to 40$ addons?John Franklin

Hi,FScom2004 is out but one thing is pretty weird here...It is a program on wich you actually no longer need to reply to ATC by typing the keys 1, 2, 3, etc from the keyboard but you actually speak (english only) to the ATC via a microphone and of course using MS' Speech Recognition System. I did some surfing on the net and I have found out that this wonderful feature has gone almost undetected by casual and even experienced users of FS2004 and FS2002. The ATC Simulator 2 wich uses this kind of interaction has had great reviews and lots of debating and so on but for a strange reason the opposite happened to FSCOM, on wich the person has to do the talking in a pilot's posi…

Hey,I'm hoping that some of you more experiencd pilots out there could help me. When filing a flight plan, I don't the pilots voice, only that of the ATC replying. And even more frustrating is that I don't hear the ATC give me clearance for an ILS approach at the end of the flight. This makes it quite hard to find out which runway to land at etc.I have FStraffic2002 upgraded for 2004, but I think thats the only addon that could cause a problem. Am I missing something? Or not filing the plan correctly?Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I have read some had some problems with the gauges of posky A-340 VC. Well it seems it is not even showing in FS2002, which appears to be odd, since every 2004 VC out there work fine in FS2002, and even odder when the 2d panel works perfectly well in FS2002. Am I doing something wrong? I use the VC model and panel, but when I start a flight everythinbg works fine except for the VC that is not there. Thanks,Leo

My FS9 is currently too cluttered with dozens of freeware/payware addons, affecting performance. When I wanted to uninstall FS9 ( so I can reinstall fresh), I noted that the uninstall.exe is missing! Can't understand why?! It's a sign of how the whole program is badly installed. How would I proceed to uninstall it manually, ensuring no files are left behind.Thanks.Eytan Ornstein

I have been flying MSFS for a while now, and sometimes I just don't know where to fly to. There are thousands of airports in the sim, some are great, some aren't. Where do you like to fly? Any destinations you can recommend? I love beautiful scenery, so that is a plus, and I'm not just talking about the airports. I'm talking about mountains, water, islands, etc. Anyway, I would appreciate hearing where some of you like to fly.

First, let me say that the new product of Flight1 is fantastic!!! Much, much better than the RealAir C172 which was my favorite until now. I also did't see any trim problems (I use CH yoke and pedals) - just give the trim wheel a little down turn before takeoff. But one thing really disturbes me, namely the sun-glare shield, which is too big and takes away a lot of the outside front view (and mind you, I don't worry about frame rates)I read the manual and could not find a way to move or delete the shield. Is there any way to do that?Have funSeev

I downloaded FS Metar and FSUIPC (not registered). I havve the drivers and files needed to run FS Metar. I don't have internet access at my home but do at work. I download Metars from NOAA at the office, bring them home via disk and try to use them in FS. Well, I ran FS Metar last night for the first time and load the Metar file from my hard drive and I get nothing. It shows that 0 Metars are loaded. I really want to fly with real world weather so please offer me some assistance. I will be grateful fellow simmers...

  17. Hi!The subject says it all. Anyone know where I can get the RFP 742 for FS2002? I can't believe the authors are only selling the FS2004 version (We are still many people using FS2002), but there must be some distributor that still sells them. Thanks,Leo

I seen a number of post that describe the freeware Malta airport scenery (scenery can be found here http://www.maltairport.com) being sunk in a large hole. In the other posts I saw on this topic none of them had a solution. So I was wondering if anyone found a fix for this scenery yet?

I'm very surprised to find myself asking this question but what's your favorite airliner (model, fs group, etc)Mine would have to be the IFDG A318/19/20/21 model with the PSS panel. I only fly airliners for my Virtual Airline when I get assignments, but I always feel more excited about getting an A3XX than any other aircraft type. I have the PSS panel installed in all of the, and it's a joy to fly! The only issue is when I speed the rate up more than 2x on the long legs of the flight, the plane rocks it's wings out of control... so the flights are longer than usual but I dont mind it as much with this combo than I would with most other planes. The IFDG models are also hig…

I'm sorry if this is a repost, but among all the FS tips I have used, running under the clean boot method has given me the biggest boost in smooth, untroubled performance. The method is applicable to Windows XP, Me and 98 operating systems. The procedure is taken from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 331796. It prevents system utilities, antivirus, etc., from starting. Computers on networks may not be able to do this.1. Click START, and then click RUN.2. In the OPEN box, type MSCONFIG, and then click OK.3. On the GENERAL tab, click SELECTIVE STARTUP.4. Under SELECTIVE STARTUP, click to clear the following check boxes. a. Process SYSTEM.INI file. b. Process WIN.INI …

You have gathered together a great staff, erected a web site which so awesomely serves this community with what it has to offer, and I really doubt if you have done anything more than

Whenever I see someone's FS9.cfg file I see that almost all of them have clouds draw distance lower than clouds sight distance. Shouldn't it be the other way around - if clouds draw distance is beyond the visual (sight) range then you will never see them being drawn on the monitor and isn't it what we want?Michael J.WinXP-Home,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8, Radeon X800 Pro,WD 36GB Raptor,1 GB PC3200
