Looks like the options are either that the ATC window is always on or always off... Is there a way to get the window to pop up only when the message from the controller is for me?

I'm wondering how long it takes to become comfortable with Flight Management systems of the heavies. Presumably months for real pilots and maybe just as long for Sim pilots?Reading through the PMDG 737 Manual I realise just how steep my learning curve will be an I was wondering how others have fared...Cliff

I just downloaded and installed Shehryar Ansari KCLE and KLGA scenery and all I can say is this guy is really good!Fantastic stuff and it's freeware!I just want to say, "get it if you haven't already" and a warm thanks to Shehryar Ansari for all the work he must have put into his scenery packages.Also thanks to Lee Brompton for his recently uploaded AFCAD for the KLGA scenery.Hollister

The dreaded happened - my FS9 Disk #4 split rather neatly into two halves, after I got used to the panic and gave up with the superglue I called Microsoft Support (Europe). Two days later a new set of the 4 Discs arrived by courier at the door - no charges!.Thanks to Michael at the support center - a happy customer :)Dave

http://www.microsoft.com/xna/It will be multi-platform, and yes- that probably means on X-BOX and PC. There is little doubt they are trying to maximize earnings on both platforms simultaneously. They are even going to standardize controllers- No fear, I don't think that means we will only be using gamepads on the next version, but it will probably be feasible to see better flight controls for the X-BOX.I'm all for the idea- It's just too expensive to develop a single platform game, especially PC. It's utterly inevitable some things will break- but so be it, I think we can be happy there will be a next version (almost certain of that now).

Hello All,I set my Pressure Land Elevation to 400. But my gauge is red and Cab Alt is matching my current altitude, and I guess my passengers are passing out? Or sufficating? Did I forget something?Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!Barry

Hello.Does anybody know if it is possible to re-install the 9.1 upgrade? I get an "already installed" error message. I suspect you need to remove, then re-install FS9, then re-install the 9.1 upgrade.I reinstalled FS9, but I don't think I removed everything, which may be causing the problem.keith

Hello Avsim friends :)I would like to use the Windows XP "Make Folder Private" (MFP) function to prevent others inadvertently messing up my flight simulator files.However the MFP function only works if the folder to be secured is located under C:Documents and SettingsUsernameI installed FS9 into the default location - C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9(1) Can I just cut & paste the FS9 folder into the new locationor(2) Do I have to reinstall the simulation into the new location.Would greatly appreciate your advice!Thanx much :)

Hi AllYesterday I got my new system and installed FS2004 for the first time.I plugged my yoke into a USB port and everything went fine.My only problem is that I can't get the HAT switch to PAN left-right-up-down. I am onle allowed to choose one option for the HAT.As far as I can read it doesn't need any special drivers.(Win XP).What kind of joystick do you have it assigned as in the Windows Control Panel, for instance "X Axis X buttons etc.".Sorry for the bad English. what's the easiest way to fool FS9 ATC on long-range flights, allowing you to step away from the computer and still get vectors later for landing. ricardo

When I dbl-click uninstall.exe, I get the uninstall screen alright, but then when I click OK, the computer gives me the following error message: "The system cannot find the path specified." Hi,I have been using the excellent "Program For Taxiway Signs Creating" by Vladimir Svoboda. The signs are great and they add a lot to the realism of an airport in FS2004.The problem I have is placing the signs where I want them. I use a C172 in slew mode to position the "X" in order to determine exactly where I want the sign placed. I have been using the center of the sign as a reference point but that doesn't seem to work - the signs are always too far left or too far right.:( I have tried many times to position the signs by slowly moving the coordinates of the sign but that doesn't work either. I can get close to where I want the sign but never in the exact location.I…
