Is there a patch put out by microsoft for FS9? I see various patches for add-ons when I do a search....but nothing from MS. Thanks in advance, Bill.

Hi all, I am trying to install the VFR photographic scenery by justflight but I am having some problems with the installer. The problem is that the installer keeps on asking for me to insert the correct CD at the validation screen. Now looking at their forums they suggest to update your mother board chipset drivers and to disable any antivirus software. This is because it can interfere with the safedisk system just flight uses.I am using AVG antivirus, and I disable this, turn off windows XP firewall so I don't think that this is the problem. Hello fellow simmers, I would like to know if anyone knows if there is a way to get or install physical gates at CYYZ.I have noticed a sad pattern that ALL CDN airports do not have any gates. All the U.S. airports have gates.I would like to at least have them for CYYZ, it would look more interesting and realistic for my AI aircraft.PS. Something like FS1 or FS2...I mean, I love the sophistication of FS9, but to really appreciate it I would like to get the feeling of something "basic".Any ideas?

I have never seen this happen before but all of a sudden some of the default panels have gotten huge and very wide. My screen resolution is 1024x768 as is the resolution in the flight sim. Some panels are ok, but some are as is described above. I have no idea what happened. Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks.

He came out with a SMF scenery that is claimingthat it is FS2004 compatible, but it is not. Personally I think by making it available in theFile section as a 2002/2004 compat product isnot correct and mis-leading. It does not workcorrectly in FS9 at all. Just got back into flightsim after a one year absence. I presently have a Gateway 1.8 with 512 rdram, 40 gig hd, and 9500 pro. Running Fs9 with 100% AI (PAI) and other sliders at about 50-75%, with 9500 pro basically programmed with low quality settings, I'm getting anywhere from 5-18 fps with default sceneries.My new toy, just ordered today, is the Gamer Ultra Pro 9000 with Anthlon64 3500, Hitachi 160 gid hd, 1 gig Corsair XMS DDr memory, and the ATI x600 XT256 16xPCI Express video card. Quickie question that I should know the answer to - is it the Landclass or Terrain Mesh folders that are NOT supposed to have a texture folder as well as the scenery folder?.I have just loaded up Corchevel in the French Alpes together with Lago's East France Mesh plus a couple of "AltiRelief" (North & South) files that I placed in my usual Terrain Mesh folder. All I can manage from this famous airfield is an extremely bumpy runway instead of the slope and couple of gradients I have seen on other computers with the Couchevel scenery.I am blaming the mesh for not either installing or being recognised. Dear all, I need help!!!I couldn't access fs9 because of recurring crash which I couldn't identify because of garbled error message. I thought it was the result of some sceneries I had created with Runway12 just at that time so I deleted them manually (in hindsight I now attribute this to a browser hijack which resulted in lots of viruses).The result when I got my computer running again is that I now get following error messages:terrain.cfg is missing or damaged etc. (probably the result of rway12)andscenery.cfg is missing or damaged. I tried installing this plane 3 seperate times yesterday, but whenever I select the plane, FS9 dies. I am using the PSS merge, BUT I also tried to install it "as is" from avsim and flightsim.com, and in both cases it kills FS9. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions??Chris

Can anyone give an honest abe assesment of this new freeware aircraft? Which panel comes with it? Does it have a VC, a functioning FMC? Any of the advanced features, like FBW, modelled? Or is it basically a default Boeing plane dressed up as an Airbus. How does it compare to PSS's busses?ricardo

I have installed Norway airport Scenery version 1 from this site and really like it. Now I see there is a version 2 but it says that it doesn't come with AFCAD files like Version 1 does. Since I have never played around with AFCAD files, I am a bit afraid of upgrading to version 2 and possibly damaging something in FS9 when adding the AFCAD files, since I have Ultimate Traffic which I believe has it's own AFCAD files. This entire AFCAD thing is a bit of a mystery to me anyway. Has anyone upgraded Norway 2004 Airports version 1 to 2 and is it worth the trouble?

I'm not able to activate reverse thrust in FS9 using the F2 key, as I have done in FS2002. I can't seem to find it in the "Controls-Assignments" menu under options. Is the only way to reverse thrust is on the throttle quadrant? Please help!

I was flying KBOS - KMDT IFR flying the Feel There ERJ (AWESOME A/C).. I normally fly twin props, lately the Flight One ATR. FS ATC has been adequate at all aspects of the flight at lower altitudes. But since I am transistioning to the ERJ, my flight plan altitude is FL 220. It does OK as far as the departure, cruise, etc.BUT the ILS approach for higher altitudes is another story. Can some one answer or verify why I was given a altitude of 8,000 ft, told to intercept the ILS, 14 miles out, and descend to 2300. Bottom line is there is not enough time to do this. So the approach was botched. How do you guys flying the ERJs and larger aircraft deal with this?Or is thi…

Is there a way to see the ai airborn aircraft and not the ground planes? At busy airports like KMIA there are too many aircraft around. I use Ultimate Traffic and several old liveries . I like to find my ai aircraft on landing to see how they perform in FS9. rnails (TKIX)

I hed to re-install FS9 and I can't seem to get a paid EZ-VFR version to load up .I contacted Abacus and their reply was to delete the EZ-VFR cache folder, and let it rebuild, which I did and it still won't reload.I deleted the whole program and reinstalled, still no load-upI again contacted Abacus and didn't get a reply.Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it.
