Hi all, I posted this over at the Hardware Forum but dut to the lack of a response, I decided to ask for help here. I recently acquired a new system (P4 3.0 Ghz, 1 g DDR Ram, Xp Pro(sp2), ATI X800 Pro, Msi mobo) mainly for running FS9. However, I am experiencing strange ground textures with Fs9(update installed). The textures are blurry and blue in places (similar to light blue water textures). I have tried different drivers, different ATI control panel settings, different FS settings, all to no avail. Hello everyone,I recently did a reinstall of FS2004 and put all the "good stuff" back into it. I somehow ended up replacing my default map (ctrl+s) texture (as seen in the attachment). I looked through the texture directory, but nothing jumped out at me. I also did a search and couldn't find any reference to this. Hi all,I tried in the Ttools forum (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=126&topic_id=6352&mesg_id=6352&page=), but got no responses, so I'm "going public" by using this forum.Is there a way to batch decompile all of my traffic.bgl's? I tried to use the switches Ttools allows within a .bat file, but up to now to no avail.AITM seems to have that ability, although somewhat limited. I haven't been able so far to batch decompile more than four or five files at a time.Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi all, could someone enlighten me as to where on the panel CFG are the details where it triggers the callouts from the sound folder WAVS ie, flaps ,gear up/down etc and while here how can i alter, in the light section of the aircraft [airliners] CFG,to make the nav lights on the end of the wings flash brighter ,thanks and regards . :D

So I just spent at least 3 hours dealing with the FS9.1 patch. When I first ran it, I no longer had any gauges or panels in full screen mode. With all the other installs along the way, I figured something went wrong. No problem - not too early in the process to do a clean install on all three computers (avid WidevieW user). This time I do everything correctly - virgin install of FS9 immediately patched to FS9.1 (after first doing a test run to make sure everything is OK). As soon as I launch FS9.1...you guessed it - no panels or gauges in FS mode! I uninstalled 9.1 and the gauges/panels are back. I downloaded this excellent scenery by Page andit is his latest post, but the AI in FS2004is all over the place! None of the AI Aircraft seemto be following the taxiways and there seems to be some kindof alignment problem. Is there anyway I can fix this myself?Any help would be most appreciated. Thanx Mike

I downloaded A. Meyers excellent A380 planes here on Avsim. The panels and models have ugly black boxes and require that you purchase the needed files to delete the boxes. I did so on Jan. 23 via Paypal. I sent 10 Eurodollars for the ab2 and apa files (5 Euros for each). On 26 Jan. the money was credited to his account. To this date after many repeated e-mails to him I have never received the files or any answers to my many e-mails. I don't know if he is on vacation, sick, or just out of business. His site was updated on 25 Jan. Has anyone ever ordered and received the files? If he is sick and unable to answer I understand. If not, I don't feel that this is the way to do …

Hi, I've been having no problems with FS9 for the longest time, except now I can't start it beyond the aircraft/date/airport selection screen. It seems to hang before it displays the rotating model of the selected aircraft - the bottom half of the screen just hangs.There are no error messages and I am always forced to reboot. Could a critical file be corrupted?Any ideas? Thanks!

What's the best strategy for freeing computer resources to run FS9?I have been using AVG anti-virus software, and I want to completely shut it off when I'm using TTools, AFCAD, or running FS9. There is a small icon in the lower right corner of the XP desktop. A right click allows me to close the Control Center, but does it really disable the scanning software? Any other control of the software I'm unaware of.I know what a "clean boot" is, but is it advisable to always use a clean boot when using FS9?Thanks for any advice!!Rick

To all the people who bought Lago's MadDog, how does the VC look??? I'm missing floor textures with the install I bought from SimMarket.com. Do the rest of you guys have full VC textures and if so can you post a pic??? If possible can you also post what you guys are getting at night as far as lighting is concerned in the VC? Hi. Something I've been wanting to ask. At airports that have parallel taxiways; is there a rule of thumb as to direction of traffic on the taxiways? i.e., inbound uses closest to the runway, outbound furthest from the runway. ? ? ?Thanks for the help.Emilio

Hi All,Ok, over the last few days I have tried, and failed, to get this great airport looking like it used to.I have tried a multitude of freeware files, the best of which is circa FS2000, but they all share the same problem, they are huge FPS hogs, even on my system.I also managed to see Flightsofts one running, although it doesnt look to bad, again, its a huge FPS hog.So my question is, do you think anybody would ever create a nice, FPS friendly, version of Kai Tak for FS2004?, is it a viable project?, would there be a big demand?, as it is a "dead" airport.With the scenery technology available to, e.g full GMAX sceneries, I am sure that a detailed and FPS friendly scen…

My spyware reported that a "desktop surveillance" program had been inserted in my megascenery folder as indicated here:d:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs9megasceneryncsantar_ewtexture002113100333033an.agnIt said that this program could monitor all of my desktop activity and email information off of my computer. I emailed the megascenery people, but they did not respond within 24 hours to my inquiry.Does anyone know if this is a mistake of my anti-spy software or if this is true spyware that megascenery is using? I found this scenery for Krakow Poland (EPKK) and after I downloaded it the only thing in the zip file was a .ra file (epkk2004.ra)Is this something you can use in FS2004? If you can how do you install it? I never seen a .ra file before.

I just got a new Dell Ultra Sharp 20.1 inch LCD that can run easily at 1600X1200 resolution. My eyes are still popping from seeing FS9 on this monitor for the first time! Wow!I have AA at 4x and Anis. at 4x. It looks really good. Do I need that with 1600X1200? Does anyone recommend anything different for FS9?Lee
