I have some add on aircraft that don't slow down when the langing gear is extended.Is there a line in the aircraft.cfg file for this, or is it a flight model only adjustment?

hiI installed the new Edwards AFB by Dennis Waggoner (edwards.zip)The scenery is really nice but for example the AI C-17s float.I remembered that there is a fix to this floating by editing a file with JABBgl program. If anyone knows what .bgl file to edit and to what height to prevent the ai-floating, please post here.

I am having a problem with Automated Weather stations in FS 9. If I'm at an airport with AWOS instead of ATIS, I get no report of any kind on the AWOS or ASOS frequency. This is true of stock airports, as well as those that have new AFCAD 2 files. ATIS reports work correctly, but the AWOS and ASOS both have stopped working, although I'm certain they used to work. Any suggestions on what has happened here or how I might correct it?KP

I have Activesky which I am pleased with especially using FS Skyworld.I believe WeatherMaker Pro comes from a different angle to ActiveSky in the sense that It revolves around building weather systems.Has anyone purchased it as it has just been released? any comments? Can it be used alongside ActiveSky using the best of both programmes features or is it a case of one or the other?A previous posting said that Skyworld will work with either?Being a weather "nut" I would appreciate any comments on this new programme.Peter

Let's say I have a payware a/c that none of the other players in a multiplayer session have. What external model will they see when they look at my a/c? Will the external model of my payware a/c be sent to them, cached and displayed or will they see some generic replacement?

I downloaded the Dash-7 passenger version from Project Dash-7, and I must say that despite the panel needs some rework, the plane and the FDE is one of the best I have (besides, the visual model is pretty good, one wouldn't expect this when looking at the screenshots on the project site). A pleasure to hand fly!Probably one of the most under-rated freeware add-ons around given the fact that no generic FS9 version exists.Anyone knows if there are others or whether the development team has future plans for the project?Andreas

I'm getting an out of memory error message when I select one of the Hong Kong airports in FS2002. I'm not sure what the problem is, since I have 512MB of RAM. Can anyone help?

Hi,I have several traffic bgl's for ai traffic , including PIA, GA and a couple of classic AI packages, and I no longer use the default fs9 traffic bgl. Does the AI traffic percentage slider work across multiple traffic bgl's or does it just work for the default Microsoft traffic file? Thanks,Steve

Hope this is the right place to ask this.Has anyone come across a (hopefully free) utility that can convert the FS2004 Video files (FSR extension) that you can record while flying - into a more universal format such as mpeg? Would like to share my "perfect landings" with other family members who do not have FS2004.Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I know these guys have been working on this project before FS2004 came out. For a time there, they seemed to drop off the planet. I went to http://www.1011tristar.com/ and there now saying Feb 2005 on the L-1011 release. Has anyone heard anything different.

Hello,do Airliners pilots (>A319, 737 etc) have to track themself in what ATC zone they fly in or out, or is ATC so nice to tell them "your leaving my zone, call Center at Disneyland etc.)I heard that small aircrafts pilots (Chessna etc) have to track themself when they have to switch over to another ATC. And also have to file positions reports on certain points, whereas the airliners thave their four-digit radar indentification code and don't have to care about that at all.

I was looking at my aircraft realism settings and saw the option "Gyro drift" was checked. What affect does gyro drift have on planes and is it best to have that option checked or un checked?

After reformating my HD (60 gigas) I have done three clean installs of FS 2004 and the darn thing will not complete the start up. While I am still in the initial screen I get a message that reads:"Aircraft Initialization Failure Boeing 737-400 Paint5"The message has a buttom (Close) that stops the startup.I even took the B737-400 from the aircraft folder in one of the start ups but got the same message. There are only 4 texture paints (1 to 4) plus the plain texture for flightsim=0. I find it difficult to locate a specific plane in my aircraft folder (with sim running) very often. I have so many 757s, 737s, CRJs, etc, that I thought it would be very helpful to have a way to organize the planes by type rather than by manufacturer or payware company.Is there a program to help organize planes according to our specific parameters as opposed to the way it is now?Any organizational ideas out there?

In the February 2005 issue of Plane & Pilot, there is a great picture of a little runway (does not mention the name of it) with a small hill at the end of the runway. I have tried to use an unregistered FSUIPC twice and each time my simulaotr will not run. It opens in window version and the mouse cannot find the screen. Hi all. There are some aircrafts that does not have the wings and engines modeled when you go to "VIRTUAL COCKPIT VIEW" and turn your "head" around. Is it possible to make those exterior modelled wings to become visible when viewing from inside the aircraft?? (like for example the PMDG

Could someone explain the difference to me between the "MD-80" and the "Super 80?" I always though that perhaps the Super 80 was actually just the MD-82 but I don't know. I've always wondered why American Airlines calls them Super 80's.Thanks,Tim
