Found this on the Misty Moorings forum. Freeware moving map program that takes any map or sectional and loads in into the FS9 Clipboard so that you can fly along and see where you are. Uses sectionals or maps. Some sectionals are available on this site, and I downloaded the Misty Fjords sectional which is also available on the lower link. It's easy to set up, self installs and all you have to do is point it to your downloaded sectional and make a few tweaks. I am sure that Microsoft is aware of the Lago FSE product that allows placement of scenery objects in realtime, i.e. while viewing them in FS2004. This ability is unique to the FSE product in that other object placement programs require jumping back and forth between the program and FS2004 to see the results. The sad thing is that FSE may not be compatible with future versions of FSxxxx.Thus a plea to Microsoft to provide the "hooks" that allow the current version of FSE to continue to function in the next version of Flight Simulator. Considerable work has been done by individuals contributing objects to the collection. It would be a shame to see all of that effort wasted…

I was checking with ATIS before departure for the weather and active runways at KBUF today and it reported a long number of runways for landing and departing from KBUF that don't exist!! The announcement went something like this, "...landing and departing, visual runway 24, visual runway 22, visual runway 20, visual runway 18..." Has anyone had this happen before? I found that I have the same problem at KLGA. Could this be do to duplicate AFCAD files or a corrupt file somewhere?Thanks for any help!Airbus

i have just downloaded the ifdg a320 and a321 models. the a321 flies great but the a320 won't get off the ground. this might relate to another topic i just read, but if anyone could help me i'd appreciate it.

good day,i am a very happy flyer with ivao, everythin is running smoothly, but there is one small but getting bigger problem.i am trying for the last couple of days to get contrails on the other aircraft. I just Gridley's Guide to Contrails here available on the avsom forum, and added the effects , engine temp. etc etc to the ivap aircrafts but i can't get it to work. Is there anybody out there trying this also, or maybe has it running??I tghink it's in the way micropose designed fs9, but i don't understand that because the aircraft is from the aircraft libraryrickklm027

Rana Hossain is getting ready to release a new freeware moving map program for FS2004. It will track your aircraft on a moving map either in the kneeboard or a seperate window. So far I've done all the Sectional and Terminal Area Charts for United States (including Alaska and Hawaii). Similar quality to the maps I uploaded last year, but these have had borders removed so they fit seamlessly together in the moving map program. HiAfter pressing Ctrl W to see all the AI aircraft in the vicinity I then press ] to close the AI window. Now when I go to spot view, the aircraft I fly looks much distorted, like you view it with a wide angle. Is there a way to bring it back to normal?Stelios

Hi all, i apologise if i am posting in the wrong area. I have recently installed Flight Simulator 2004 with no problems in about 20 minutes. I have inserted Disc 4, as instructed and the disc starts to play. It shows the screen with the three planes and the name of the game. It then shows me the menu for about half a second before returning to my desktop. I am unable to access the menu. Does anybody have any suggestions?Thanxs in advanceCpt. Leung

I recently downloaded some airport scenery (PHX, SEA, SFO) and found that the surrounding city areas have turned into gray blocks. The other areas are OK.. but the city/urban areas have no detail and are just gray slabs. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this mess I've created. BTW... the airports look great... the cities around them have just been nuked.Thanks in advance.Chris

Just wanted to cross-post here for those who don't frequent the screenshots forum often.I installed the Challenger yesterday, and I just can't stress how impressed I am with it, and with all you get, for such a low price. With all that Bill and Lynn have given the community for free, I don't even feel like I've "bought" something--rather, I feel like I've shown appreciation for a very rich talent. Screenshots don't show it all, such as the vibration of the canopy in flight, or the rear seat passenger whose head follows you when you pan around the aircraft in spot view.If you love the visibility of a copter, but don't like handling them, this is the bird for you...-Johnh…

As I live in Portland OR, I am very curious as to how the Portland area is shown. Also, would like to know what the 'dividing line' is like between the default and the NWP addon.I fly south from Portland a lot and was just curious, I have not seen any screenshots for this area and the transitions.Anyone care to post some shots? About a month ago i sent money in to aerialfoundry.com for the CF-18 package.I then went on vacation for 2 weeks and when i came back i found that i still had not recieved any email links for this package. I understand that many CTDs are reportedly caused by landclass files in folders with texture folders. As far as I know there is no way to determine by looking at it if a bgl is landclass or not. Sure would be nice to have an app that could look through a huge scenery directory for that situation. Must be something intrinsically different about a LC file that would help identify it. I recently purchased Eaglesoft's Citation X bizjet (great plane!), and I'd like to establish a home-base to fly out of. Preferably, I'd like to find an airport that fits the following qualifications:1) Has some freeware or inexpensive payware scenery (fps friendly) upgrades available2) Located in the continental US or Canada3) Large enough for steady airliner traffic but not the largest in a particular region4) 5,000ft runway available5) Interesting surrounding sceneryAny suggestions?
