Hello fellow pilots,I need your most sincere advise about where to get a good (in all senses) Boeing 757 for FS2004. I am planning to come up with the most realistic 757 simulation. Whose panel do you recommend? (Freeware or Payware). Please share you B757 setup you have on your sim.I think Captainsim will be coming up with a Legendary 757 but I don't see it happening soon. Hi AllSorry if this is the wrong forum but i was wondering if anyone out there could help. To explain. Loaded up FS2004 and started a flight. The create a flight went ok and i am now sitting in my cockpit on the runway waiting to take off.However my 2-d panel is as best i can explain it as if im zoomed right into it and its taking up most of the screen. If i use the alt key to bring up the options at the top of the screen, the normal sized 2-d panel appears but when i close it the zoomed in panel appears.Has anyone else experienced this and could suggest a solution. I am in the middle of basic coding for an extensive add on for FS9, I call it Star-Fleet. It's basically a simulator version of The enterprise-D, Romulan warbird, Klingon Bird-of-prey and a Ferengi Marauder. The idea is to use the FS9 Earth as a platform, then depending on which 'side' you choose, you will be placed on your Home world. Qo'onos, Earth, Romulas or Ferengi. There will be shuttle craft to allow the user to leave orbit and explore their's or another planet. Well, in flight everything runs smooth. I just hate those stutters when taxiing and turning on the ground.Any tricks to reduce specifically ground stutters?

Hi AllI have recently started to get a buzz / clicking noise when in cockpit view of any heavy jets, using default or added in engine sound. Can't seem to get rid, have even reinstalled ? Any ideas ? Many thanks.

I know how to take a screenshot using the keyboard and windows but I've noticed that some people are publishing pictures in various fora as a sequence. My understanding is that you can only put one screenshot on the clipboard at a time as each subsequent screenshot replaces the one ahead. Is the a programme out there that these guys are using for successive screenshots?Kev

Happy Easter Everyone,What i want for easter is to fix the object crashes ive got in FS9. Ill be taxiing on a wide open ramp or apron and BOOM, my airplane breaks up.They seem to happen with fs2002 sceneries. The only 2 that ive noticed and the ones that are really driving me nuts are in Halifax (CYHZ) and the Freeware Kansai (RJBB) sceneries. Ive tried a bunch of stuff to see if i have another afcad hidden somewhere, but i dont see it, i dont know what else it could be. Its gotta be some setting or file somewhere thats giving me misery! Well I see Squawkbox 3.0 is getting plugged pretty good so just in case someone missed the new IvAP release on 23 March here it is : http://www.ivao.org/softdev/IvAp didn't even make the frontpage on AVSIM while Squawkbox made major headlines.No insult intended but is AVSIM pro American or are there some political issues involved that I am not aware of?I have used both networks and find them fairly similar both in terms of realism and the amount of users so it makes little sense to me why a major MSFS addon like IvAP doesn't get any coverage.Paul

I've been having trouble over the past few days with sites that I cannot open - the browsers (IE or Firefox) time out in the end. As it happens both on my PC and my laptop, and all of my friends who use British Telecom as their ISP seem to have the same problem with the offending sites (e.g. www.avsim.ru - www.igfly.com - www.parliament.co.uk - to name just a few), whereas anyone with a different ISP has no problem at all, I don't think that the fault is with my PC. I've been wondering why so many people like Float planes in FS9. Operating in water in FS9 is far from realistic. I mean besides the occasional bouncing up and down by the water it's very unrealistic. Just like true turboprop charactorisitcs aren't possible do to limitations in FS9, water landings are far from the challenge they are in the real world. It would seem water modeling in Flight Simulator is the most arcadish/game like feature in the sim. Hopefully Microsoft addresses this in the next version...I remember I couldn't get into low flying GA aircraft until FS2k4 came out with it's awesome scenery engine. I opened FS9 created a flight with a Reality XP gauges panel and when creating the FP in the GNS530 the PC got frozen but with a blue screen and the hardware making some very ugly noise. This had happened some times before and with a reboot everything would work fine. I rebooted but this time, when I start FS9 I get the first screen with the DC3, and then...CTD. FS9 doesn't open at all.I tried deleting FS9.cfg, FSUIPC.ini, reinstalling FS9, reinstalling Windows (upgrade), but nothing happens.My fear is that is hardware related, but since the whole computer works really fine, except for FS9 I don't know what to think.My next steps are to reinstalll FS9 but with no addons f…

I have FS9 and when I go into Multi-Player everything works fine. When I try to disconnect a screen comes up (white box) that asked if I really want to disconnect. If I answer YES, my sys does nothing. The screen is frozen with this white box still in place. The only way I can get back to desk top is though Ctrl/Alt/Delete and then shut down FS9. I have Windows XP Home, service pack 2, Direct X9.0c, Radeon 9800pro,128, latest ATI drivers, 1024 ram,. I do not have the FS9 update install as of yet. Any help appreciated.....Ed

Had a strange thing happen while flying the Veneaviones 690B Commander. I was getting around 70 FPS with a really smooth flight when I pulled up the Moving Map function on the kneeboard. My frame rate took a nose dive and had a slide show that made it impossible to fly with. So I closed the Moving Map program with no improvement. Finally just shut down FS9 and started up again. My default airplane is the Dreamflee PA 28 and whereas I usually get around 27 FPS with this startup situation (on the ramp), now I was only getting 4FPS (still slide show territory). So I just rebooted the puter and everything was back to normal. I have just started using Moving Map so this …

Hi, this is my first post to the forum, do please tell me if I'm doing anything wrong... anyway:My panels refuse to display correctly in FS2004, (2D Panels). They appear 'zoomed in' and blurry, and around 99% of the panel is hidden offscreen. If I right click on the panel, it returns to normal but if I click on it again (to exit the popup menu) it returns to its former distorted state. Hi AllThose using AI Smoothing for separation, the Release button when the program is opened is that supposed to be clicked when you connect to Flight Sim or left alone.I could not find any documentation related to this switch.Also several times the information screen does not indicate where the destination aircraft are, just that it is monitoring X# of aircraft.Hope this post makes sense.Kenny G.
