Man, Maybe I'm too much of a novice.. but... I started a flight the other day from Kuala Lumpur with real weather.Even when I've used the FS default thunderstorm weather I've never gotten anything like this! :-cool Of course I haven't set up anything that violent either, come to think of it. I'll try it...We were being blown around as bad as the first RW flight I ever took... in a DC-3 as a matter of fact, in...1960..when the turbulence was so bad half the plane was sick, including me.Anyway..hand flying -- blown up and down 100, 200, 300 feet at a time,, blown off course.. lightning everywhere, almost constant thunder..Anybody every find this in you real weather experi…

Those of you who downloaded the TV version of my new Gmax Bell 206B - there was a bit of a hiccup with a texture. I have uploaded the fix to the AVSIM library and should be available within 24 hours. Does icing conditions actually affect your aircraft in Flight Sim? If so, how does one de-ice the plane? Do the de-icing boots or anti-icing systems of the default and payware aircraft actually work? I ask this because there is an option in FSUIPC to allow icing in clouds. I don't want to enable this if there is no way to de-ice the plane using the de-icing features of the aircraft. Thanks!!

Hi!I have some problems with my FS 9 heading indicator.It changes every now and then and indicates 90 degrees, when it's really 180, etc.I have a lot of addon sceneries and a lot of AFCAD2's installed.Could it be due to any of that?Grateful for any help.....Thanks beforehand.Hans HermanssonSweden

I tried to load my CaptSim 727 for the first time in a few months and I got a "Flight Simulator unable to load..." message. Thinking I may have a corrupted file I went to reinstall the aircraft but it insisted in trying to install to my FS2002 folder rather than to FS2004. Of course, there's nothing at the CaptSiim site. Any suggestions...other than stick with my DF 727...???Thanks

I need help on getting my magnetic headings back. All of a sudden I can only get true headings, I did a search and found some threads on this subject, but could not find a solution. I replaced all the files in the scenery base file from FS9 disk 3, but it didn't fix the problem. I don't want to have to un-install and re-install fs9 if I can help it, because of all the addons I have. If someone has a solution for this problem, I would really appreciate your help.ThanksArnold

OK,I just recently built a new computer and I am finally able to run many of the payware aircraft ad-ons very nicely.Right now my favorite is the Flight 1 C441 conquest. I get FPS of around 35 - 38 in both the 2D and virtual cockpits.Now I am interested in purchasing an older airliner.I am interested in the Flight 1 Iron Knuckles DC-9 or the Dream Fleet B727.Does anyone have an opinion on which one they would like better?Does the DC-9 run well under FS9 since it was originally designed for FS2002?I really like the old DC-9 aircraft, but am leaning towards the 727.Any opinions on this are apprecaited!Scott :-)ATP/CFII - USAFA Instructor Pilot, Colorado Springs, COSystem Sp…

For those who are using pmFlightplanner (http://www.pmfp.com) for their flightplanning, I have added about 200 aircrafts with fuel & weight data for KLM on the pmFlightplanner. Look for KLM made by Ferry Spaan.

In the flight plan display window, all of the boxes are offset below and/or to the side of where they are shown on the template graphic. By fishing around with the mouse, I can find and open the boxes for data entry, however, at the bottom (departure time etc.) I do not know which box I am opening due to the various locations. This pretty well makes the effort unuseable.Loadedit displays for my Pheonix planes have a similar problem that some data displays are cut off and do not show up.Anybody else had this experience and know a solution? I have tried various resolutions and font sizes to no avail.Thanks:RTH

Is IVAO and VatSim the same environment?I flew on VATSIM a long time ago.Dennis

I don't normally "big-up" developers, but I have been noticing the customer service over at Aerosoft.These guys have got it right, the support forum is a joy to behold, not only are they honest about their products, they offer top notch support, and they also give away addons willy-nilly to people for various reasons.In light on all the other bad going-ons in this hobby, and the lacklustre support offered by some other FS addon companies, Aerosoft are a shiny light that EVERY addon company could take a lesson from, well done Mattuis and team.end of "big-up" ;)Dan.

All the lights (airport PAPI, aircraft NAV lights,etc) seem good when up really close but as soon as you zoom away from them they seem like huge christmas light bulbs . anyway to fix this?

HiI have installed FSNavigator but when I press F9 it takes too long to load (about 1 minute). I have a very fast PC (P4 3.2GHZ) and a reasonable fast graphics card (Asus PCI Express GeForce N6600 250MB) it should load much quicker. Any ideas?Stelios

Can anyone offer opinions on 2 aircraft I am considering.. the Veneaviones Turbocommander 690B and the Premier Aircraft Dehavilland DHC6-300 Twin Otter by Barry Blaisdell?
