I've finally tweaked FS9 to my liking. I have successfully got rid of all stutters and blurry textures and I'm averaging just over 40fps in almost all scenarios.I guess the price that I'm paying for that came in the form of an inflight texture reload but it's strange. ATC chatter would be minimal leading up to the moment of reload, and right after that it seems as though the flood gates are open for AI and ATC chatter.Its as though AI traffic have been lurking quietly in the background until the texture reload takes place and then they all come at once. Seems like the texture reload itself has something to do with AI traffic?Can anyone who's experienced this shed some lig…

Hi guys,I just installed 2004 and I'm having a great time, the only problem I have so far is the mouse click sensibility, for example when I click on the VOR to adjust it every click sends the needle flying like 10 or 15 degrees! I can't fine tune it like I use to do with 2002 where every click would be one degree, I have the same problem with trim while using my CH Products yoke, every time I press the "trim" it moves way too much.Can anyone help? thank you so much for your time :)Alex.

Was the PMDG 737-800 American Airlines Repaint by Daniel Halpern released...or did I miss it? Cannot find using Avsim search engine, I know Royi Sher did a pictorial with it...

All these add-ons that come with load configs like PSS, LDS, PMDG do they actually reflect the load that you put on them? Just wondering if you give a plane a higher payload in the load config that the plane will actuall fly like a heavier airplane or is all this load config like "eye candy"?

Hi all,My nephew is graduating from Naval flight school shortly and will be flying a P-3, which I am told is a four engine military aircraft.Is the P-3 aircraft -- or its civilian equivalent, if there is one -- available for FS 2004?I sure would love to experience, at least through simulation, what my nephew will be flying!Thanks for any help.-Rick

Simmers,I have a question about the beacons (maybe it can be answered by real pilots). The beacon is switched on during taxi on the ground. every time I click OK in the fuel an Pax in FS9 it crashes to Desk top or locks up only with the two planes is it because you can configure these plane out side of FS9

Yesterday I bought the Cherokee 180. Great plane and loads of fun to fly low and slow. Is there anyway to substitute clear windows for the somewhat tinted windows in the Virtual Cockpit? The tint seems to dull even more an otherwise somewhat dull flight sim world. Other products I have bought in the past has had two sets of window panes, one clear and one tinted? PS: I tried to email this to Carenado, but got a message back that their mailbox was full. Shame on you Carenado!

How is the DF 727? would it satisfy someone that flies the LD767 or PMDG 737 realism wise? thanksadam

"Project Pure Scenery" just released a free addon to enhance european trees. The intention may be the best, but this addon has caused some serious problems for me. Once installed I took off from ENKJ and noticed right away that my average framerate had dropped from about 20fps to about 10! And the trees didn't blend in very well either, the cardboard-cross style was very visible, so this definately is nothing for me!Unfortunately there's no uninstall available, and the installer spreads files all over the place. I tried to install to a fake directory to see what I need to restore, and I don't even know if I have backups of all those files.Lesson learned: Don't install any…

This may be a long post, so please bear with me. I can land 747's and mostly anything else for that matter but I've not done it 'According to the Book'. I want to learn to do that, so where would you suggest I start? I've been through most of the flight lessons but got sick of the Instructor saying 'This is'nt going well'. I was just flying from PANC to PADQ and was given a ILS 25 Circle to land 29.Now that would have been fine, except the soup was so thick, that the runway barely came in site about 2.5 miles out. How can you be given a Circle to Land (which is basically a visual approach) with the visibility so poor. Needless to say, I landed on 25 making the pilot in command safe operations call. Can this be done through a GPS approach or other approach? I am flying the Flight One ATR.MS ATC flaw?Barry

I installed some mesh and now my bridges don't line up with the coast lines. Some fall short, and some are simply in the wrong place. I know that this is the difference between the Default mesh and the add on mesh. I also had a problem with the USA Roads lining up with the bridges.I notmaking a negative comment about FSGenesis or FScene. These products make FS world much more realistic. The world below is so interesting to look at that I actually flew a helicoptor to view it (ooh yuk.) In my local area (Tidewater Region, Virgina) bridges very important, and we have some nice ones. I wonder if someone would kindly enlighten me..... I've read that it is important that certain addon scenery folders should either definitely not have, (or definitely have, even if it is empty), a texture folder sitting next to the scenery/bgl folder, but I don't really understand when there should be an empty texture folder along with the scenery folder and when there mustn't be. Some installation intructions give dire warnings about getting this wrong, but I haven't worked out the whys and wherefores of 'to have an empty texture folder' and not..If anyone can explain this, it would be very helpful. Hi There,I got the Fly Tampa - San Francisco and its killing my performance. I have Fly- Tampa's San Diego and it runs fine. Why the difference from the same vendor? HmmmmWhats up with that?Both are sitting on top of Mega Scenary. Without Fly Tampa, I get 15-19 Fps, with Fly Tampa it drops to 1.5-2 Fps.I am running it on Dell Dimension 4400 Pentium 4 - 2Ghz. 1Gig memory, Geforce FX-5800 Ultra Graphics.Is there a setting or something I need to do.

After not having used FS for several months I recently reinstalled FS04 and now I'm thinking about adding AI traffic again. I had used ProjectAI packages in the past, but since there are so many other designers of ai-models (AIA, ARNZ, CDAI, FSP, ...) I'd like to know if there are any differences when the effect on framerates is concerned.How good are PAI models compared to those other designs?Is it worth the work to search for all the models, textures and flightplans instead of just downloading a PAI package?Thanks in advanceRick
