I am really enjoying FS2004 now with FSGenesis mesh, Flight 1 Ultimate terrain, FScene textures, etc, etc. With all my add-ons, it looks great and seems very immersive for me when I fly now. Don't really know how FS2006 is going to be any better?

Hi,Please excuse newbie ignorance (not to Flight Simulator but to the forums) - I am sure the question has been raised earlier but my searches seem to give too many results to scan through - perhaps I need lessons also in using the search engine. I have perhaps 80 addon aircraft in FS9 not including paint variations, so have many aircraft from real world airlines, most of them very well known (British Airways, Swiss etc). I have noticed when flying these planes that ATC almost invariably ignores the entry in aircraft.cfg relating to the airline name (atc_airline= ) and just calls the aircraft by its flight number (atc_flight_number= ). I am sitting on rwy28R at KSFO I open the FMC on PMDG/Level-D and start entering FP data, then when I enter rwy28R on DEP/ARR andexecute the rwy appears on the display at a 15 degree angleto the true runway. 265/85 degress instead of 280/100. Earlier today during VATSIM flight KSFO-KSAN and descendingfor the approach ATC gave me hdg130 and after entering it on the MCP ATC told me I was 15 degress off course and therefore hadto enter hdg145 to compensate. Yesterday also during MaiquetiaEvent and on ndb approach to rwy28 the runway was not displayingcorrect orientation by 15 degrees. Funny thing is not all airports display incorrectly. Ok, I have a problem. I cannot change the fuel load for any aircraft in FS9. Prior to starting the flight, I attempt to change the fuel - when I load the flight it's gone back up to 100% in each tank. When I try again to change the fuel, it momentarily goes down and within 2 seconds it goes back up to 100% This is very annoying! Has anyone else seen this or know what's going on?? I use an unregistered versio of FSUIPC. Active Sky 4.5. My system is usually spot on, I cannot understand this. Help!Matt

I have just recently become commisioned in the Navy and am now in a civilian flight program to get a bit of flight time before I start school as a Flight Officer. I got into a cockpit and flew for the very first time today out of KPNS. It was an amazing experience to say the least. To keep the story short, I have a bit of MS Flight Sim experience but Im interested in possibly trying to use it as a tool to get used to voice comms. Hi! Having the sync clock option in ticked in fsuipc doesn't seem to do anything in to me. I still have several minutes off sync. The date isn't correct either but that might not be the purpose of the option. Anyone else seen this or have a solution???

An honest question, not intented as a knock on payware. I downloaded this very nice Decathlon from Airhead:http://airhead.hfdd.com/airworthy/04_8kcab_downloads.phpAnd I am astounded by the quality. It is visually a gem, with a great VC, animated pilot, lots of attention to details. Hi,I need some advice and/or suggestions regarding upgrading my scenery. The only enhancements that I currently have installed are Ontario/Toronto scenery from Flight Ontario, and FS Skyworld, both being freeware. Most of my flying is in North America. I only fly two aircraft, Aeroworx B200 and the PMDG 737NG-700, with the B200 being used the most. Hi all,I am currently into my 3rd week of mainly only flying Helos, and I have to say its been one of the most fun and fustrating times ive had with FS. However I have now learnt how to fly Helos, not perfect but still good enough to either take off, air taxi, hover and land with some percision. ...when I change views. I really have smooth flying in 2D cockpit, VC, Spot, and Active Camera Fly By. Everything stops, stutters, adjusts, and resumes for about 4 seconds or so when I change views. My "re-draws" of plane texture and scenery texture take seemingly forever. Are any of you experiencing the same thing? I'm using a Dell 2.8 gig, 1024 of Ram, NVidia 6800 GT OC at 256 video Ram (latest drivers), and I wonder why the serious hesitation when I change views. Hello all,I'm not sure what I did but now my sky is always white. No matter how I set weather-d/l real weather, clear all weather, even make sure there is no cirrus layer. There can be cumulus or cirrus clouds but still always above all clouds is this white sky. Tried different airports but it is the same everywhere.Does anybody know what I can do to fix this short of a complete reinstall? I had installed the new FS Sky World 2004 and it was set to Cumulus A set 1. I started getting bad frame rates suddenly so I deleted some texture files that I thought FSW had put into my texture folder.Can anyone help me put back the textures that give a blue sky? Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was an FS Maintenance for 2004 or if the Real1 is 2004 compatible or is going to be? I hope one of them are or coming out with this in the future... I kinda think it would be interesting to have software that would generate slow wear and tear etc. And instead of flying passengers fly like cargo and things of that nature. And give it more of a mission statement keep ya on your toes. I have 2004 and all the U.S. FS Genesis Mesh terrains but I think I am gonna put it on hold for now until something like that comes out. Hello, I have just downloaded and installed the Pilatus PC-12I am having problems and was wondering if someone could give me some detailed instructions on the install of the guages I would appreciate it..I have got the plane installed but am having problems with the guages when the plane first loads up on the runway I have a cockpit view but guages are dead... Is it possible for special scenery objects to act as a trigger to play a sound in FS9?If so, could a plug-in be created to play the sounds of AI aircraft landing and taking off? These 'objects' could be rendered invisible and placed anywhere on the runway or, perhaps, at a certain AI spotting location. I believe MS Train Simulator uses this method to play various sounds - eg - birds, cars, running water etc. Perhaps certain 'flags' in the aircraft.cfg file could trigger certain engine sounds - eg, piston, turbine, jet. I am an absolute AI fanatic - so this idea appeals to me - alas - I don't have the skills to create it myself. I know about FSHotSeat - but I like the idea…
