Hello all :)I have some nice freeware KBOS scenery on FS9. But I have now located a much superior version of the airport online that I want to donwload and use in place of the current one.Trouble is I cant find the scenery entry for the current KBOS scenery. Theres no entry in any of the scenery folders (FS9AddonScenery, FS9Scenery).I suspect I replaced just the .BGL files....is there a way of scoping out the KBOS ones?TY :)

There seems to be a whole slew of really old posts showing up. Where did they come from? Can somebody clean them out of the list?Thanks,Thomas

I recently loaded this awesome panel and I love it!! But I am having two problems that I cansecond problem is that when I can't seem to clear up.The main problem is that the Panel loads with only one autopilot. Of the three switch positions that could be used ( only the first two positions should have autopilot switches) only the middle position is occupied with an autopilot switch. The autopilot works normally for climb/ enroute/ descent operations, byt a second autopilot is required for the autoland functions/ indications to work. No second autopilot and no autoland.My second problem has to do wih the fuel system. With the engines running, the engines won't shut do…

Hi!When I fly at night, and especially at hight altitudes, the texture in the horizon turns unrealistic. The water within a couple of hundreds of miles is dark and fine, but the texture outside there again is dark green. The transition between these colours is sudden and artificial. When I zoome out in the map-section I can see the contours where the water at the nearest is dark, and the water outside there again is dark green. At day this is no problem, because the colours of both the near water and the one far away is similar. But when the night comes the differences occur. I would prefer to have the colours as similar as possible. How may I solve this problem? Is it be…

Hi Folks I recently installed EditVoicepack to add ATC info. to my FS9. I also installed the latest updates,which have dramatically improved ATC chatter. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to get rid of a red error message"The comment is not in the recomended format for upload". I've followed the tutorial and everything works fine except for the error message[which I assume refers to the text in the "Description" window]. The text I have typed there is exactly the same as in the tutorial and I still get the error message.I'm at a loss to know how to get it to work properly. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Is it possible, in general, to sell downloaded (non CD) add ons to a third party? For instance when FS2006 does not match with Active Camera anymore, could I sell it to a FS2004 user?Herrie

Looking for a good high wing twin turboprop that would be smaller than the Dash 300. Prefer something size of the commander that has excellant flight modeling and great turbo sound .

I installed a second monitor for FS9 this week. Very useful to haveFS9 on one screen and FSNav on the other, even if having the cockpit on one screen and spot view on the other drags my frame rates down too much. One annoying niggle though is that my mouse pointer no longer vanishes as it used to. Sits there getting on my nerves. I seem to recall (?) that there is an option somewhere for having the pointer disappear after a number of seconds; maybe it got unticked somehow when I added the second monitor, but I can't find the option, if there is one.Thanks,Martin S.

Guys you dont have to get into a slagging each other match. I gave you the fps i get on the other products. I have a very good system. The pss 330 brings my fps down quite a bit. THATS all. I did not get one answer that helps me. Is it bad coding or what? Obviously other posters get bad fps too. I am not cutting down PSS although I wish they would have given me an answer to my question. Please do not complicate the original post. thx.

In working with the Posky 757's and 767's, If I am not mistaken (which is always a possibility), I believe that I have found that the data entry in the aircraft.cfg files for empty weight is the max zero fuel weight NOT, empty weight.I would respectfully suggest the following for anyone interested in spec. data for just about any Boeing aircraft: I will use the Boeing 757-200 as my example (although many others are included):1. So I got the pitch trim down mostly, but yaw seems to have me struggling.I realize;the rudder trim provides yaw, and roll adjustment.the ailerons provide roll adjustment.So the rudder and ailerons can interact.Question is, when trimming out torque in flight, do you adjust the rudder or aileron first? How far and then what? Rudder till yaw is gone, and then aileron, or aileron until roll is gone and then rudder?Basically I'm trying to keep from over trimming the airplane (excess rudder countered by excess opposit aileron).Ideas?

No, I'm not going to ask if anybody knows when FS10 will be announced. I'm not even going to ask if FS10 is likely to have better flight dynamics/weather/scenery/ATC etc . I'm just going to say that I'm looking forward to any announcement about FS10 because I will be interested to hear how the FS team have made use of any developments (in computing power, games design, graphics etc) since FS9 came out. Dear all,It took almost a month of my time until I've mastered good take-offs on Boeing 747-400. The real challenge to me however, is the ILS landings, for I can reach the airport, try not to miss a single point and instructions highlighted in the Precision and Non-precision Approach Manuals and to practice these instructions during my flights but fail to land my plane 1) in time; 2) with good ILS procedure and 3) in compliance with the sequence required to switch necessary gauges such as APP and AP keys, etc. I would be grateful therefore, if someone could explain me the correct ILS procedure for specifically Boeing 747-400 plus the sequence of switch turn-ons and turn-o…

I was never very much into using the default GPS, as most of the panels I used had all the features that I need and also there is FSNav. Somehow I suddenly got interested in it. Anywhere I can have a short description of what the GPS can do and how it works? I don't find it sufficiently self-explaining or intuitive.ThanksChris

Ok, here's the problem: Whenever I go over the area marked with red, my FPS drop to 1-3 fps, and the mouse gets incredibly jerky!!!I'm using latest Catalysts 5.3, but I also tried 5.1, and the problem remained! Has anyone tried Flight One's new program called Flight Enviroment? The screenshots look great. They didn't say whether or not the clouds are volumetric. Is that even possible with Microsoft FS? I remember the great volumetric clouds in Pro Pilot. I don't know how they did it, but they were so realistic I couldn't keep from saying Wow! every time I descended through them them or broke out on top. It was fun just to fly by and look at them. Sure brought back memories of doing that same thing in my old Taylorcraft! I wonder if we'll ever have them in this flight sim.Oh well. I have installed the Garmin 530 (registered) on my Aux machine. I have WideFS connected (other apps are working) and I have made the fsgarmin530.ini file with the [settings] Remote = 1. I copied the fsGarminShell.dll to the FS Modules Directory and edited the fs9.cfg [Old Modules} to fsgarminshell.dll=1, as per the manual.I launch FS2004 on the primary machine, and then connect WideFS on the Aux machine. When I launch the Garmin 530 I get an error that says the FsGarminShell.dll is not loaded in FS2004.Does anyone else have the RealityXP Garmin working in FS2004. I have version 1.04 of the Garmin.
