I thought FSGenesis and possibly some other outlet was working on an addon that would bring accurate coastlines, lakes and rivers to the United States? Have these projects been put on hold? I for one will be one of the first in line when they are available.

Hello,As time goes on I now have a huge number of addon scenery files.Is it possible to combine the contents of 2 scenery areas... for example... I have many fantastic freeware Thai airports... I wonder if I could put all the texture files in one texture folder... and the same for the scenery folder...??? I would then have 1 scenery for thailand, rather than 6 or 7 different entries in the scenery config.Do you guys do this? Does it work?The idea is to try and reduce the number of scenery layers I have.Thanks,Paul ( SPIM )

I think it would be neat to have a flight that would span about 4 or 5 hours in the new Dreamfleet A36 aircraft and for its owners.How many of the owners would attend to something like this?I could see about ATC. But for the most part, i would like a fly in or a cross country of a few hours in the A36. Is this something worth looking into?:-wave

I have a large number of addon aircraft, scenery, mesh, etc. and am wondering which of these slow loading the most. Obviously, I don't need all of them, just curious about what I should be most aggressive with deleting or temporarily moving. The problem with scenery, as I understand it, is that if you delete it your scenery numbers are no longer consecutive, but maybe that is not a big deal. Thx!billg

Hello,this is my first post to this forum since I've bought MSFS2004 couple months ago. I'm wondering if anyone can help he with little problem that is bothering me. Here is the description of the problem:When starting new flight, engines on aircraft that I've selected to fly are always running. No mater if I place aircraft on the runway or to the gates. I supose that engines running at startup is default option choosed by Microsoft programmers. Could someone tell me how do I turn this option off? So, I would like to start engines by my self at the start of the new flight.Thanks for helping me out...Best regardsDubravko

In years of flight simming, the best frame rate improvement I ever found was to increase the cpu priority level of the program one step.Only...(sob)...I had to reinstall everything and lost the directions on how to accomplish this feat.Frame rate now only 15+/- where it used to be locked at 29.If you will tell me how to change program priority I will give you my fistborn (he is now thirty) or my eternal gratitude.

I have never had any problems with CTDs until about a week ago. All of a sudden, I could not run FS2004 without it crashing to desktop after no more than several minutes.The only thing that I had installed recently was a few addon freware a/c, version 2 of the Moving map programme. I had not installed any new hardware, drivers , etc.These CTDs would occur while just sitting on the runway at what appeared to be any airport- I would start up an a/c and just let it sit on the runway idling. I have just reaffirmed my interest in Courchevel Altiport (which I have known very well for real) as I have been upgrading my FS9 scenery for the alps - and because I found the scenery using TerraMesh 7 (or Pignot's mesh) and the Bernard Martin site. Like many (in these forums) I am dissapointed in the LFLJ sloping runway of the latter, which is at best bumpy but also the wrong texture (for real asphalt) The buildings are superb, but the airport is unrealistically low and sunk into the scenery (which is why the runway has problems.) There is during snow a build up to the wall behind. The snow textures are dreadful. There are enormous potholes in the terrain mesh on wide…

Some of the third party aircraft I find are grossly overweight as default. The new Posky 767-200, for example, is tens of thousands of pounds overweight when fully fueled. Another example is the SGA DC10. Some cause a CTD if I try to change the payload within the sim, so the only way to get it down to a proper takeoff weight is to cut the fuel load or to modify the aircraft.cfg outside FS.Why is this? Is this down intentionally by the authors to get accurate flight characteristics or should it be changed to bring the aircraft below MTOW?ThanksBlairCYOW

Hi Guys just wondering what your favourite flight is, what type of aircraft and what scenery you use with it.For me it has been LLET-LLBG (Eilat to Ben gurion, Israel) flying the pmdg 737 in EL AL colours.The scenery is freeware but of excellent quality, i especially like the flight as Eilat has some great mountain ranges to your right as you take off, right next to the red sea, you get to fly over the dead sea, its a short flight so great for just a quick hop!Brad.

I just bought the SF.260 from RealAir. If I could summarize the aircraft in one word, that would be: WOW!This aircraft in itself is a piece of art. The guys at real air have put so much attention to the little details that this aircraft is a pleasure to fly. Everything about this aircraft is incredible. The textures are amazing, the VC is breathtaking, the flight model is super accurate, the gauges are sharp no matter if you're in the 2D or the VC. Dear All:Been having a strange problem with the Night Textures. It seems whenever I look straight ahead, whatever I look at seems to be washed out like it is a silhouette. In my periferal vision, everythng looks bright, but whatever is in the center of the screen, especially in the distance, seems to turn into a silhouette. If I am staring at some night lights at my side window, as soon as I turn the plane to the same lights (when flying, not at airports), they seem to amlost vanish with this black backlighting upon them.
