Does anyone know why the default ATC diretions can be well a bit strange... turn left to 035...turn right to 065....then left to 035....turn right to 065. etc. :>) That's just a general question.But last night it became quite serious, humorous really.. Well it would have been serious in a real plane, or in clouds or if I didn't have a sectional in front of me and an approach plate. Flying from Denver Int to Aspen in PMDG's Beech 1900. Was given clearance to 16,000. Now that was a little strange as the minumun safe altitude is pretty much 14,800 as I remember. (Don't have the sectional here right now.) Is there a way to turn on and off the "Target Frame Rates" in the Settings section? I have been experimenting with different settings and frame rates, but would like to turn off the 'target rate' so I can see what average rates I actually get with different settings. Does this make sense?ThanksBill

George Grimshaw's KBOS (Logan) is now officially dated. Delta Airlines opened their new Terminal A today, moving from Terminal C.http://www.boston.com/business/articles/20..._at_terminal_a/JetBlue is expected to move their operations from Terminal D to the open gates in C, with a long term plan to take over 11 gates. I would expect most ailines (all of JetBlue and AirTran) to move out of D. Calling D a terminal is generous.... It's more of a connector between C and E, the international terminal.

Hi All.I have bought an add-on plane,I was wondering if any of you know where or what makes the reverse thrust buckets work, what I would like to do is speed them up slightly, at the moment they are ridiculously s l o w, and not in keeping with the real one at all.I have contacted them, but they have not even really given me any information at all.so I am left to find out for myself.if anyone has any ideas, or where to look for what controls this action I would be grateful.thanks,

I just tried to install EditVoicePack 3.1 on my FS system, and it gets 75% through the install and then my machine re-boots? Any software install is causing this... Could it be a registry problem? Or a bad sector etc?I have tried to use Drive Image and Ghost to move my FS environment to a new hard drive, but it fails.Any ideas what I can do to fix the problem?I have done CHKDSK / F /R and it does not give me any errors.Thanks!Barry

I have been flying flight sim for more years than I care to mention, and almost from the beginning, I found myself flying large aircraft, probably cause I only flew C152, C172 and Piper Warriors in real life, and wanted to see if I could manage the big ones. I never had a real IFR ticket, manly due to money constraints, so I could at least learn IFR on the flight sim, and flying the commerical aircraft really required that I get those skills . I have a fuel burn problem in one of my 727-200's and was wondering how/where to find the fuel flow rate in the air file. I wish to edit the fuel flow problem if I can find it in the air file.I'm using AirEdit to view the air file, but can't find anything referencing fuel flow rate. Anyone know which entry in the air file controls fuel flow?Help..

Hey does anyone know where i can find realistic flight dynamics for the default 737-400? i dont want the PMDG plane b/c my pc is too slow for it..but i luv the default 737 panel and VC but the plane just isnt realistic..any ideas?thanks,Stephen

With all the great programs (e.g., Armando Di Francesco's new separation utility, ActiveSky, Active Camera, Edit Voice Pack) FS10 may actually be less enjoyable or real than FS9 is now with the great add-ons. The longer MS waits to release FS10 the more enjoyable FS9 becomes. Go figure. Let us hope MS pleasantly surprises us and knocks our socks off :-bluegrab

Hello. This morning I did a "Cargo Jet" flight and noticed atc was not calling me "Cargo Jet". I'm using the last update for EditvoicePak for FS2002 and EditvoicePack Version 2.2.1072.18206. It turns out that pilot voice 7 is the one at fault. My problem: I opened up editvoicePack and was going to edit Pilot voice 7, but cannot find "Cargo Jet" anywhere. How do you search/find "Cargo Jet" in editvoice Pack?Thanks

I know this is not going to happen for a bunch of reasons, but don't you think it would be great to have MSFS give up AI ATC (that could nevere be comparable to human atc despite improvements) and make native (built-in) support for online atc networks? If well promoted by MS, this could greatly increase the traffic on those networks...Once again, I know this is not gonna happen, just wanted to know your opinions on this :)

I wonder if there is a better A340 panel for FS2004 than the pss A340 panel? The problem with the PSS A340 panel is that there are so many knobs wich you can not click or use, like a dummy, for example the overhead panel. Also the wheel ecam and other ecams are not complete simulated. best regards, martijn

The Flight1 software F1 view.dll utility worked 101% great on my P4 but does not work at all on the new XPS. I installed it in a flash and it fails to show up under MODULES in FS9. FSUIPC shows up under MODULES, so why not the F1 view utility?Appreciate any advice, thanks!JS

Help Forum..I cannot get past the climb out on MS 2004 on the private pilot checkride.I level off and then take the turn but I cannot get past that point.I have CH products yoke and pedals but I guess I need more practice. If flying a plane is this hard , maybe I better stay on the ground.Has anyone else had a hard time doing this?Thanks

Hello, noob here. I've been reading the rules/stickkies etc. and this looks like it's going to be a fine place to come.I hope someone may be able to help me solve an annoying problem.I have a Logitech force 3d joystick which I use with fs9. The problem is in the calibration of the rudder and I'm not sure if it is fs9 specific or I have a dodgy unit. During calibration the needle jumps wildly at the slightes touch of the joy handle. Twisting the handle to left rudder only moves it 2 calibration units where twisting it to the right it flashes all the way to the stops. I have been to the Logitech forums and a couple of other people are experiencing the same behaviour. Althou…

Just tried the Feelthere CRJ after a while of not using it and was again blown away by how poor the frame rates were. So, just out of curiousity, I checked the size of one of the texture folders-61mb! Wow. Checked a bunch of other payware aircraft, including PMDG, RFP, CS, Dreamfleet, etc, and the next biggest one is 35mb, with most being a lot smaller than that. No wonder it takes a while for the aircraft textures to load when you switch to spot view, it's loading 61mb of data!Can someone check the ERJ folder size? I'm wondering how it is because I'm thinking of getting it, but not if it's 61mg, argh. billg

Hi guysI have just installed iFDG A321 and also ,as recommended, Eric Marciano's freeware A32X panel. Unfortunately I did not see the warning notice on Eric's website about gps_export.dll until it was too late and I installed it and of course FS9 will no longer load.I need a copy of the original FS9 gps_export.dll as I don't really want to completely reinstall the programme.Anybody out there that can help, please?Frank

This is from Novosibirsk (UNNT) airport scenery, downloaded from AVSIM. It is a very nice bit of scenery, but I have a telegraph pole stuck in the middle of the taxiway. At first, I thought 'no problem' and added an exclusion line to the scenery.cfg entry. Restarted FS - pole still there. Checked and quadruple checked my exclusion line. Everything fine. Do exclusion lines work only with default scenery then?Then, using AFCAD (which confirms I am opening the right bgl file), and making a backup of the bgl file (AF2_unnt.bgl - supposed to be for FS2004, and this pole is the only anomaly), I started deleting bits of taxiway, finally selecting the whole airport and deleting e…

Hi all, I'm having an issue of late with what seems to be Scotland scenery. If ever I start FS9 at EGPH or other locations in Scotland it takes for ever to load, then I get frame rates of 1-2, regardless of the aircraft.If I fly into EGPH for example from EGKK FS9 drops in FPS to 1-2 then CTD occurs, again regardless of aircraft.It seemed to start when I first installed the freeware EGPH scenery, so I removed it. I also had the Scotflight scenery installed, then removed it also. Neither seems to have fixed the problem.Any suggestions? I am running XP pro and FS9.1 patch.

Somebody know why ATC is calling me Thai HS-TG when I haveatc_id=HS-TGO in my aircraft.cfg?With my ai plane ATC is calling Boeing HS-VAU, ok this are two different aircrafts but I would like to know what is atc looking at in the aircraft.cfg and does it make a different you are flying or it's an ai plane?
