I just got hired to fly right seat in a lear 31,,,,, never flown a lear and I'm looking for a 31 panel and ac. I don't recall any payware ac which is what I'd prefer. Anyone know of any good freeware or payware lear 31's? Thanks in advance B Bjorkman

When I attempt to load a flight the screen freezes at 'Loading Weather 77%"I have removed the scenery that caused this,tried 3 attempts at System Restore and checked Weather settings.No joy.My FS9 file is 6.7 GB and I can't face having to reinstall!!!!Any suggestion would be appreciated.Rodger.

I've been giving some thought to doing a long cross-country flight in FS2004 using one of my payware GA piston singles--maybe the F1 Cessna 172, or the Carenado 182RG, or the oldie-but-still-goodie Dreamfleet C177B, or the Dreamfleet Bonanza A36, something like that. Something single-engined, piston, and unpressurized so I've got to plan and think about what I'm doing with regards to terrain and weather. I've got a few questions, though, since I want to do this "right".- I see references in some readmes and checklists to "% power". The F1 172 gives cruise performance using % power (example: at 8000 feet, 80% power gives 2400 RPM, 9.2 GPH fuel flow, and 122 KTAS). The…

I have just carried out an experiment using the default C172 and the Flight1 C172 -- with basically the same results on both a/c.If I fly at 2000', the max groundspeed I can get (indicated on the GPS with zero wind) is 127 knots. However at 7000', I can only get 118 knots. Now at the higher altitude, I have leaned the engine for best performance.I have always thought that real life pilots use a higher altitude to attain higher true air speeds and higher ground speeds.What am I doing or thinking wrong??Thanks Barry

I installed FSGenesis terrain and FSScene textures, updated the trees as provided by Ruud Faber and now have trees in many aprons of smaller airports and some in larger ones also. how does this happen and how can it be fixed? Any help is appreciated.

I have only recently noticed that when landing at night, with landing lights or taxi lights on, that the ground is a mulit-coloured pattern, not a solid runway/taxiway texture. Maybe I have only just noticed it because most of my flights are during daylight.Does anyone else get this and is there a cure?TIA

I had to try this, the flight deck sounds so much quieter. I love the work LDS did on their sounds. Hopefully we can get a professional sound set for PMDG's 744 (the current one is way too loud in the flight deck)...

I have just recently reinstalled CoF as well as added Ultimate Terrain and the Genesis Cordillera Mesh. I haven't done a whole lot of flying at night but I wanted to take a look see at the new great lighting effects.To my surprise, the "car blibs" along the highway were static. Just blobs of lights stationary.Do I not remember correctly that during the night or dusk, the "car lights" are supposed to seem to move along the highways and roads?Darryl

Can I just say that FS9 with FS Live Traffic, Radar Contact 4, ActiveSky and Flight Keeper along with FS2Crew and PMDG will absolutely rock my world? It already does, but Radar Contact will be the last piece in the puzzle to guarantee thousands of hours of fun. Well... until RC5 comes with voice recognition....and just a few years ago, I was bored flying around all by myself with bad graphics and horrible frame rates.Thank you, developers! Hello Guys, I'm new in the forumCould you please tell me where I can find a gauge that reproduces the wind sound when the canopy of the plane is open???I noticed that the default FS2004 sound folder has a nice open canopy (or open cockpit) sound, used for example in the Curtiss Jenny but how can I "attach" this sound to the canopy opening event???Furthermore, I'm looking for a gauge that "triggers" a stronger wind sound when the flaps are open (for both big aircraft and smaller ones) and a gauge that generate a stronger wind sound when the gear is lowered. I only have the fpda_gear_wind.gau but is mainly for big birds, I'm looking for a similar gauge but for smaller aircr…

I have read a lot on this topic the last couple of days. I have UT and I am considering converting the planes to DXT3s.My question is, if I copy all of the plane folders to a working folder and run the ImageTool batch command on that working folder, will it do a recursive conversion of each of the plane folders or do all of the textures have to be in the folder I run the batch command from. If all of the textures have to be in the same folder, I don't see an easy way to keep them all sorted out to put them back in the plane folders. Any help?Dennis

I got me a new plain cheapo joystick (USB) which didn't even come w/ drivers and stuff. Nice w/ throttle, cooliehat, 4 buttons. Good deal. Computer detects it, I personalize it, FS9 accepts it, I take off, land, am happy, things are great. During the same computer session, I'm eagerly doing flight preparations, downloading charts, plotting course in FlightPlanner, boot FS9, but..well, it DOESN'T boot. wh..? David Eckert at http://www.daviator.com/ has been boycotting Avsim for some time now, and I find that disturbing and he blames it on the users here. I have looked in the other discussions but could not find an answer to my issue.The 2nd window on almost all, not 100%, fails to appear when I hit S. It goes straight to the no guage view. Now I am unable to see my guages in the 2nd window as there is none.I also am tired of these incompatibility issues which tend to keep crashing my computer if I use them. Why do people upload stuff they know has an issue with FS9 but don't bother to explain a fix. Any ideas. I am New to this forum and pretty new in editing aircraft, though I am getting better at it.Thanks

Hello,Sorry to bother here but I have had this problem before and don't remember the fix.When I exit fs9 (version 9.1) I get an error from windows. I just cancel the error and all is fine but I believe that there is a second instance of the program running - or something like that!Does anyone remember the problem/fix?Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNear KCHS
