Have read multiple posts from many of you regarding upgrades...What I gather is mixed reviews on "When" it is good to upgrade and "how much you need to upgrade" in order to really make a difference. Right now my system is this...Gigabyte KT400 MoboAMD Athalon 2.61.5 G Kingston PC2700 DDR RAMRadeon 9600 ProJust wondering some feedback on what a "next step upgrade" should entail and really how much I need to upgrade in order to really see a difference.ThanksDarryl

In the flight school for FS2004, when you do one of the first landing lessons, you fly through some yellow hoops down the glide slope.How can I get this for normal flights? It used to be in FS 98 version for when you tuned in the ILS (I think).

When I load Fs9 it takes me into Spot Viw, I'm not sure if this is the Default view or if that's how I leave it :) Anyway, the distance shown in Views is 001.00 - which is too far away for my liking - I know I can alter it but it would be nice if I could get the opening view at a distance of 001.50. Is there any way I can modify the Fs9 Config file to achieve it?KenSomerset, England

Which of these planes are best?What advantages does the 767 have over the PMDG?What advantages does the PMDG have over the 767?I'm considering a advanced jet airliner.One thing I know already is that the PMDG can befound in boxed version to a lower price then the 767.Also I think the boxed version contains a printed manual.

I have been flying Level-D's gorgeous 767 for the past few days, which has meant long flights using the aircraft's autopilot.My CH yoke (USB) cuts out after a few minutes of non-use and I have to unplug it and re-connect it to get it working again.I checked my USB hub settings and the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" box in NOT ticked. Very annoying....any suggestions please?

Just a daft wee annoyance....Somewhere along the line I have changed my ATC text colour to a delightful orange, which is no use to anyone on a sunny day!I cannot recall how or when I did this, Senior moments abounding at 60 moments a second!Can anyone remind me how wee do this? i really got a boring problem with the AI...i takeoff normal, control transfer me do departure and all ok...but when is the land, i land, exit runway but the tower don't see, making the AI stops on airport that i landed because its say to AIs hold because 737 on runway but when it says i was at gate... someone can help out here?a, its only do that when i do VFR flight (i prefer that than making the flight IFR with the FS ATC Procedures are irreal, i do with my own to make stars, sids like the real aviation)

Hi Everyone!I'm using George Grimshaw's fantastic Boston Logan 1.1 with FS2004.ATC always gives me an ILS rwy 4R approach for KBOS. The only problem is there's no ILS frequency for 4R listed in map view? How do I get the ILS freq? Departures from KBOS and AI traffic are not a problem.I've already redownloaded the scenery and re-installed/re-activated the scenery. I placed the KBOS afcad in my addon scenery/scenery folder.Any ideas?Thanks for your help!-Tom

Regarding to my post #267216 on Aug-04 in this forum I failed in getting all scenery files, and the search resulted no worthy. I revised it now and got an even shorter runway: Potts Field, Winsconsin, 0WN5, 150feet (it must be wrong !). More than 20 airstrips shorter than 500ft could be finded as well.The zipped file with the database is now 443KB, so It cannot be attached here. Evening all. Had a look under Search, but couldn't find a quick answer...I'm rushing this as management is about to dish dinner up!In FS9 the NATS don't appear to show - I get departure and approach intersections on either side of the Atlantic, but I want to emulate a 767 flight I read today at flightsim.(Read it - it's great!)Anyway, am I wasting my time trying to find navaids in FS9 for the NATS, or even across the Atlantic close to the NATS, but aren't the actual NATS?Many thanks. If I have a scenery installed can I change (replace) the Scenery and Texture sub-directories without doing anything else? The scenery is already registered, meaning I've started FS9 and selected that scenery and restarted, so FS9 knows about that directory and there is an entry in my scenery.cfg. Thx!rgds,billg

I have a dual monitor set up and unless I'm using FS9 in windowed mode, I can't move the popup windows to the other screen. As a matter of fact, even in windowed mode, there are several popups I can't move (most notably, the Eaglesoft Beechjet 400a) Is this a limitation of FS9 or is it a "per aircraft" thing. Is there sometype of addon that would allow me to utilize the second monitor better? Right now, I just use it for Active Sky and FS Economy. I'd love to have throttle quadrants/GPS/overhead panels and/or radio stacks over their was well. What am I missing?Thanks for any help.(btw, I'm using a GeForce 6600GT 128 meg card)

Here's a challenge. Use a small GA aircraft, I used Flight1's A36. Fly on a line from OR05 (Flying M Ranch in Yamhill, Oregon) to Ranger Creek in Greenwater, WA, that's 21W. Both are Georender products. Guess what you encounter........ the east ridge of Mr.Ranier. You have to get to 12000 to clear the east ridge of Mt.Ranier, then... Ranger Creek is barely 12 miles north in a Valley. I choose to do a 360 after clearing the ridge and loose altitude, the A36 just flys a bit too strong to loose enough speed at the end to set it down. Anyway, I chickened out of diving into the valley without the 360, but I may try it with my Piper Archer. Will an Archer get up to 12000?Anyway…

I just had to come on and post this regarding my first real flight in a C172 Skyhawk. I'm pretty sure that's what it was.I really have to give you rw pilots props for even flying a sim. After my first flight in a real Cessna, I'm having a hard time coming back to the sim. In short, it was amazing.On first look at the cockpit panel, I was surprised to see just how accurate FS was. All the guages, the radio stack, all right where I expected to see them. I was quite surprised at how tight the cockpit was, but the instructor said it was "roomy" compared to the c150, or was that 152, not sure now. Hi, I'm flying the Flight1 C172 and sometimes when I engage autopilot for an ILS approach I notice that I wind up parallel to the runway and I have to manually correct the problem. Is this happening because of wind? In general does autopilot compensate for wind drift? Thank you.

I really want to buy their summer textures. Lennarts are good looking, but I am interested in the FSScene ones, can someone give me a recommendation? The pluses and minuses? Do they look good from high up flying in jumbo jets or are they mainly for VFR flying? the shots on their page I see are not higher than 6k feet or so and look really blurry in the surrounding areas...Any help in deciding whether I should put down all that money I'd appreciate it. I became hooked on VFR flying in MSFS with the introduction of Misty Fjords scenery and since then I have gone back to my roots, and started flying lower and slower with mostly GA aircraft. I have been reading on many of the forums lately, that many people are starting to fly VFR, due to the abundance of great scenery that is now available for MSFS. In the last week, I have also started to fly on Vatsim , which I really enjoy. One reason I haven't joined Vatsim in the past, was that there seemed to be no interest in VFR flying on the Vatsim network. Asking this here as I need suggestions from flightsimmers. I need another software program (game) that will work the processor as hard as FS2004 (like 100%). Trying to solve an issue here and prove it is not perhaps just a FS2004 issue.As not having played any other games on the market a few suggestions would be helpful...

I was wondering what the longest length of replay is in FS2004.In other words if if fly from say EGLL to LFPG can I watch the whole flight in instant replay in spot view when i have completed the flight or am I limited in the length it will play?Also how do you make flight videos using the flight recorder so they play back properly. when ever i try to record a flight and replay it plays back very jerky and the aircraft jumps all over the place on the ground?
