Everytime I shutdown FS9, a screen pops up and says that flight simulator has encounterd a problem and needs to close. This follows an uneventful session in FS9. This is a new thing that just started. Seems there is something not right with the shutdown of the simulator. Any ideas?Thanks,Joe

OK, I'm mainly a low and slow GA flyer, but I've got the PMDG737 and F1 ATR-72 and every now and then I do like to fly the more complex airliners and work the flight management systems. I've just never really gotten in to it.I'm ready to try something new and maybe get a little more hardcore, and was waiting for the PMDG release of their 747 to decide what to buy. Just wondering if it is possible to create a flight plan flying westbound say from the US to Japan via a great circle route. Does FS Nav or FS Build have this option?

First of all i think now that after rereading my post i believe it was ok to lock it, sometimes my english is not as good as i would like it to be. Hi there folks...A long time ago,(on this galaxy ;p) I used to fly the old but efficient ATP from SubLogic. Every flight simmer knows about ATP and it had a big feature that was cool at the time...a random flight assigner. You would only fire it up and it would choose the flight for you and it was amazing NOT knowing where to go and having the simulator choose your flight. Thing that doesn't happen in FS5 FSW95, FS98, FS2000, FS2002 and finally FS2004. Searching the net I have found a program called Flight Assigner by Ashley Shear if am correct. Hello, I just reloaded FS2002 Pro on my computer, everything seemed to be okay except my reverse thrusters are not working properly. I do get them to come on (all inications that they are working) but the aircraft (all aircraft) are not slowing down or stopping. I have changed settings in the aircraft.cfg files to increase reverse thrust, and nothing happens. I have calibrated my flight yoke with FSUIPC, and still no good. I spent 2 days reloading the simulator with all of my addons, I would hate to do another reload. If somebody can give me an insite as to what is wrong I would appreciate it. Thanks J.R.

Hi all.. Recently discovered a problem that occurs on all dafault fs9 airports around dusk/dawn. All taxiways, aprons, runways and in some cases buildings gets very dark at times, lasting about a second. then it goes back to its current lighting.. This sounds like a lighting problem and it could be the latest version of airport environment, found here at AVSIM.Anyone with similar problems or solutions?Glad for help

This is my first post to the forums. I am new to flight simming amd have been enjoying the chance to try my hand at flying. Recently I have noticed that the ATIS for Gatwick is not there anymore. I tune the comm radio to 136.52 and nothing. I am getting ATIS at other airports, just not Gatwick. I have also opened the airport with Afcad, which lists ATIS at 136.525, but still i hear nothing. any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi everybodyDo you know which is the shortest runway of FS sceneries ? And the narrowest ? And the highest ? Well, the shortest is rwy 06 at VILH (Leh - India), with 534 feet at 10680 feet altitude, 100% surounded by water. Obviously impossible, but I landed a Cessna there.I carried out a compilation of all airports in FS9 sceneries and built a database in Access, allowing me all sort of searches.If anyone is interested I can send the zip (120 KB) or post it here.Jose

Hi All.I have all the German Airports for 2004.GAP 1,3 and 4 are for FS2004 but GAP2 is for 2002,unfortunately still waiting for the 2004 release.Anyway I had the very same problem with my FS2002 now I am having it again in FS2004.When I install GAP2 some airports in Europe seem to disappear.For example Rome's Fiumicino (LIRF) is gone,there's only ground there all ground and soil;no terminals,no runways,no taxiways,nothing just plain nothing.I have been searching the forum and the library here but couldn't find a solution.However there's a 2004 patch everybody was talking about.I can't find those patches anywhere,looked at aerosoft.com,germanairports.net.And I don't know …

I think this doesn't exist, yet, but in case it does, is there any special effect that can be added to aircrafts to show the hot air behind the engines while the AC is taxing for example. I guess the concept is similar to the vapo trails.Thanks,Leo

I now have the DF727 and I wonder if Ready For Pushback 747-200 2nd Generationcould offer something new? Or are they very similar products?Which one is best? And how does RFP compare to the upcoming 747-400 from PDG? Maybe they shouldn't be compared? How does a 747-200 differ from a 747-400?
