Is it just my imagination -- or do Carenado get a raw deal here on the Avsim forum. There never seems to be much discussion about their a/c and when there is, it is often quite negative. I have seen a lot of positive feedback about the baron 58 from DF. I was wondering whether it is a good idea to purchase it too, since I already do have the DF Bonanza. Apart from it being a twin, what is there more than the bonanza? Appreciate your comments, those who do have it.

I have had some unexplained CTDs. I think I might have a bad Traffic.DLL . I have updated to 9.1 and the tag on the Traffic.DLL in the Modules folder says 9.1. If I get the Traffic.DLL from the disc and replace it would the tag say 9.0 ? Does anyone know if the 9.1 update, updated those .DLLs too?AND what disc would have that DLL ?Thanks

Whats up with the 3 1/2 stars? That's the rating given to Cloud9's Aviano scenery, which looks awful compared to the RI. If there is any better scenery than RI, I'd like to know. Fs scenery design is in a sorry state its the best scenery can only get 3 1/2 stars at Avsim.-

Hi,I am trying to find out what is the highest point in the FS9 world for Mountains etc, I'm guessing that it's going to be something like the Himalayas or similar,a point of reference, or even better, an Airport close by that I can use as a starting point would be very welcome.thanks for any info guy's.

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the aircraft config file so the thrust reversers deploy in flight. On the real NASA Gulfstream, and Boeing acft they deploy the T/R's to simulate the acft slowing down coming back in.:-jumpy

hi everyone,can you remember that nice c-17a from fs2002?i liked it really much and flew a lot with it.but unfortunately it turned out, that it doesn't work anymore under fs2004 (no gears, as far as i can remember)now i was browsing airliners.net and found it again.i searched in the avsim.net - database but there were only some repaints for it...did anyone get the fs2002-model to work?or is there even anyone currently developping a new one for fs2004?thnx in advance for your answers :)p.s.: for those, not knowing the aircraft - search for McDonnell Douglas; other at airliners.net

when I hit print screen it is supposed to copy it to clip board??? Dumb me can't find clip board to print picture from FS. Are there any good Freeware print capture programs. Any HELP will be appreciated. Thanks Chuck

Does anyone know a generic add-on to add generic dynamic scenery or even static scenery on the tarmac - like pushback trucks, ground crew, catering, follow-me cars... MORE REALISM? I am an realism addict, sorry.I know that many addon airports feature some dynamic improvements, like the Service Armada from SimFlyers, but is there anything that works for every airport? It really shouldn't be that hard to program, if you can identify the parking spots, no?Thanks,Pat

Hello All!Just to let you know I've released FSConnect (FSConnect.zip), which is a a module that gets loaded by Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 (or CFS2) and runs in it's address space. It provides an interface that third-party programs can use to gain access to data regarding the user aircraft. It's basically an alternative to FSUIPC, depending on what your data needs are. An updated version of FSConnect will be released as soon as FS2004 becomes available.And its freeware! Was kind of messing around last night and I couldn't seem to get the default MS kneeboard to show up on my second monitor. I undocked my GPS, radio, etc popups and placed them on the second monitor, but th kneeboard wouldn't do it. I was flying Bill Lyons Luscombe. I was thinking that it would be pretty handy to have that sucker pulled up all the time accessing the Virtual Pilots Network or the HTML checklists for the various aircraft. Was I missing something basic or is that a limitation of FS9?Dondo

Does anyone know what's happened to the fsfreeware website. Now I can't get to it. It started a few days ago.

I flew into CYCG (Castlegar, B.C.) the other night from Calgary Intl and when I got to the airport the runway lights looked like they were "off".CYCG is a small airport with 1 fairly short strip. I know in real life, that airport lights can be turned on/off by keying them with the microphone (a few quick clicks or something?)... What was going on here?There was am AI learjet or Citation landing and the lights still didn't come on.Does FS9 support "light activation through mic keying?"

Hi, I downloaded realwaves.zip from avsim and my waves do not apear so crisp like the screenshots show. They are more "washed out" like in apearance. I coped the supplied fx file in my effects folder and copied the texture file in my effectstextures folder. I tried the other wave files from a different author and the same thing happens, they are not so sharp. My textures are nice and shap for everything else on my sim....land looks good, and ocean looks great, its just the actual waves. Is there anything I could do?Thanks,Bill

Hi All,I have been trying to use the Imagecfg utility to set my processor affiny to 0 for fs9.exe and just can't get this right. I have win xp home with sp2 installed. I have an 3.4gb processor running with hyperthreading enabled. I can manually set the fs9.exe to processor 0 but I wanted to automate the process. I have imagecfg copied to my windowssystem32 folder. I've had Shigeo's Vegas2004 installed for some time but I've never noticed this before! The "UFO" disappears when I disable the add-on Vegas scenery. Has anyone else using this scenery ever encountered this?

Hi, Every time I load a third party 737 300 (at the moment, I have Virgin Blue Australia's aircraft) I have no virtual cockpit. Apart from the main panel, all I see around me is tarmac and then directly behind me is the wheels and the 2 engines supported by the wings...I have tried to edit, and insert, the panel.cfg using the [VirtualCockpit 01] code, but to no avail..These aircraftpaints look fantastic, but without the VC, does not even feel like your flying the plane.Thank you, Adrian
