really silly question but is there any way when I load the flight sim 2004.. it loads right on the runway or taxiway.. is there anyway when flight sim loads that I could just load the main screen without loading into the actual flight right away..?

I own the Baron 58, A36 from DF and both Beech 1900's from PMDG.What I want to know is what would it take to get rid of the RXP GPS (and the regular GPS) stuff from these planes and just have the old fashion VOR and DME equipment.What I want though is both version's (one with the fancy stuff and one without).I know it can be as simple as turning off the GPS but I would like to get rid of it all together.Is it possible? HelloI have just noticed that the Socata TBM 700 has been released into the library.

I was wondering if the default zoom level can be adjusted so that when you press the '-' or '+' keys they will zoom at a different level than the default .25 level?I would like to be able to zoom out to .60 instead of .75 when pressing the '-' key for example.I know you can adjust the views in the ac cfg file for each plane, but I would like to just use the keyboard zoom keys to do the same thing.Thanks!Scott :-)

Hey... Here's the story:I like to disable just about all of the default aircraft, with the exception of one or two. However, that means I can't load the default flights or some addon flights that require a default aircraft. Is there a way I can change the aircraft that flight refers to, to a different one? Such as changing all the C172 flights so that they dont use the default 172, but use the Flight1 172. Anyone know if that can be done? (Other than loading the flight, changing the plane, and saving it)Thanks,

Great...they're done. Over at Flight 1 site for availability this Thanksgiving Weekend. I look forward to flying in "real time". However, we are expecting SNOW here in Pa. this weekend. Please, BEV, hurry with the Winter textures.....I think we need them.BEV with ASV and Active Camera are unbeatable! Now I must order the TRACK IR system and life will be very, very good. Does anyone have this problem when using Flight One ATR.When you are on final approach to an airport an error message pops up with a runtime error. when you close the message FS crashes and generates the following report..... I have a video card with the ability to hande two monitors. The setup went fine. I have read here about people running FS2004 on one monitor and FS Navigator on the other. I can start FS2004 on the fiest monitor and drag it to the 2nd. What I can figure out is how you get FS Navigator to run on one monitor and FS2004 to run on the other. Both monitors are attached to the same computer. When I hit F9 FS Navigator comes up fine. I can drag FS2004/FS Navigator to either monitor but can't get them to run on separate monitors What am I missing?Thanks in advance to all who reply.Bill

On final approach to landing, the aircraft suddenly violently pitches up and goes into a severe uncontrolled condition. Recovery by manual flight is possible. Note that THIS IS NOT a conventional stall. Everything is 100% stable with plenty of airspeed, smooth weather, and nothing present that would logically induce the action. For a couple of years I have been tempted to purchase the registered version of FSUIPC, but everytime I would go to the web site to make the purchase, I would hesitate, thinking that there was a good possibility that I would never use any of the features. My controls stay in calibration, weather works well, etc.... etcc. Since joining Vatsim, however, I have been bothered by the fact that I can't assign a button on my CH yoke for push to talk on SB3. Evening all!Just booted up FS2004 and am having a rather strange problem. All of my runways are now about 20 degrees out of alignment for example runway 34R at KSEA used to be around 340 degrees in heading but now it shows the runway as 360 degrees heading. I have tried numerous airports both addon and default with different planes both addon and default but the headings are totally screwed up. Is there anything on the original CD's for FS2004 that I can copy and put back into FS to sort this problem out?All the best Richard

OK, I'm not getting any answers regarding my inability to open config managers for the DF727 or the ATR (and a few others I've forgotten) on the Flight1 forum. It seems to be a registry problem from what I can tell. I restored my computer to a time several weeks ago and found they worked fine. I undid the restore and tried an intermediate time and they didn't work. Somewhere along the way, though, I lost all of my restore points so I don't even have that option now.I tried to patch my registry using a program that I purchased. It said I had lots of errors and it corrected them but the config mgr programs are still giving me the same error message. Uninstalling and reinsta…

been working with the awesome Connie for FS9 trying to use the checklists etc for a somewhat realistic flight. I'm having problems with what some of the switches do, mainly the fuel panel. What are the 4 red switchs for on that pop-up? Are those fuel cut-off's or the aux fuel boosters? The 4 switches labeled 1 through 4, what are those on that panel?Dondo

This tip may help some of you. I have messing with the new Omega ATI drivers and changed the LOD setting to -1 this minor change has significantly improved the texture clarity with no impact on frame rate.Andrew

I'm having some trouble adding some third party MRAI flight plans. They say they are in MRAI format, however, when I use the MRAI installer, it states that it's not a valid .zip file. I've tried using the compiler to see if it will convert it to to the correct format, but it appears that nothing happens. Anyone experience this and know a fix for it?
