Hey All,Couple product questions.1) How good is the landclass in UT Canada/USA? Are roads, rivers etc in the "right" places? Are most airports associated with towns still just strips out in the middle of nowhere or is there actually a town "springing up" when you land there. I mean small towns like Roberts Montana, Bly Oregon and the like. In UT ads they focus on cities but I'm a small town guy. I'm growing tired of flying to a small town that I know in RL and finding absolutely nothing there.2) Is Active Sky WXre any good? Perhaps if you use it with Flight Environment? How does it relate - if at all - to Active Sky V?Thanks! -Ed-

I was surprised at all the hostility surrounding the release of the Australian Simulations Piper Warrior ll/lll. Let me begin by saying the Dreamfleet Archer is the default plane in my FS9 and of all the payware planes I own, it's the one I've flown more than any other. Some of my aircraft are referred to by ATC as "Experimental" instead of by their manufacturers' names, such as "Cessna". I've tried modifiying their air files, with no luck. How can I get ATC to use the manufacturer's name?

Flying now from Anchorage (PANC) to Seattle (KSEA). Weather in PANC for takeoff was "great", snow, windy, turbulent and my ACARS weather advisory is telling me extremely low visibility and bad landing conditions (and suggesting me to prepare to divert). But, ####, I'm not going to divert. I have very important passengers who HAVE to arrive into Seattle on time, or the world is going to end! }( }( }(So, join me if you'd like! I am currently experiencing incredible Wind Sheer over Europe.I am using default real world weather, with Shaefells 737-800.Also have Fs Passengers running.Anyone else experiencing Wind Sheer at upper altitudes? Seems to kick in above 23K, and can cost me a flight if I dare leave teh sim alone on A/PSomewhere in my dark and distant past I recall a similar time and cannot recall what was decided to do to fix this.My real world weather has winds aloft disabled,and I have run out of ideas on this one.Any solutions?

Rick Piper has done it again.What a great aircraft! I remember these in and out of Southend Airport, Essex and in the old days wealthy people would ship their cars over the channel in them. I have seen the PMDG one and it looks good (already have their 6/700) but I thought Id check with all of you in case I was unaware of another company developing the 800/900. Hi,Has any one downloaded the Garmin 1000 simulator and got it to work? I did in anticipation that some one is going to put it into an airplane for FS2004 shortly (anyway I hope so) and I want to know how to use it. Additionally as a CFII I hope to teach in an airplane with one of these things and again I want to be ready. It's beautiful. It cost me $9.99 - mostly shipping.Questions I have come up with - I connected a MS yoke to it as suggested but only get slow pitch and roll response on the PFD and the airplane icon does not follow the control movements. Given the nature of how things deteriorate, I wanted to offer my own words of apology for a personal attack made against Raimondo Taburet today by one of our members in this forum. Raimondo is right about one thing, and I should make this clear to all users--if you have a accusation against someone, make it in private. Avsim is not a court of law. Raimondo has given the community freeware of his own--some of his mesh is in my sim. We can pick apart anyone if we want to--I certainly have my vices. But Avsim is not a court of law. I had to do it---reinstall fs9. Everything was going Ok, a lot of stuff had to go that had built up over the years, but sometime during this process I must have goofed something up. Now, I get a message on start up that "requested flight file is corrupt or can't be found...will try to start with default". I tried to set up a default situation for startup in MYFLIGHTS, the icons are there but I keep getting this message. Sends me to Seattle as the default. Anyone have a fix on this? Thanks in advance.
