I just got BEV :) Yay!And while my simming has been transformed it somehow does'nt look as nice as all the awesome BEV-related screenshots I see on the screenshots forum :(I was wondering if I could make a small request:Could you BEV users out there please tell me what one of your theme-structures are? I have always generated flights using FSnav or the FS9 Flight planner and have recently become more interested in using SID and STARs to accomplish my IFR flights.I always have issues with ATC when trying to implement a STAR it just does not recognize my intended apporach because they will instruct on their own approach at some predefined distance from my destination airport.So how do I overcome this without losing my IFR flight plan in flight by disregarding ATC request for the FS9 approach as opposed to the published STAR I select. Also how does one know what STAR to usewhen building a flight plan when the destination runway cannot be determined until you are relatively…

Is there a way to turn off runway lights that appear in the daytime? I've always had what appear to be like ball-shaped lights at the end and middle of the runways, either orange or yellow. They don't seem realistic, so I'd like to eliminate them. Are there certain files that can be deleted to accomplish this?

Anyone else downloaded this incredible aircraft?This is, IMHO, Dreamfleet's 737 quality finally here.Cockpit, passengers views, gps on screens within cabin...etc.Also flys when I get it started! A real need to read docs aircraft this..cold and dark start really cold and very dark.Couple of quirks with lights but knowing how to do things makes it a brilliant but challenging 737.Oh, did I say it was free?Thank you!

I have also posted a longer version of this on the UTUSA Forum.Can the scenery.cfg file be reset. I made an error today installing UTUSA today and I now have land almost everywhere. I have even reloaded the FS9 base texture packages, but I still have land where water should be seen.ThanksTom

For those that remember the previous Roaring Thirties races and of course those that don't :-) our next event is on Sunday 13th November. The race more or less follows the coast of England and Wales with a short hop over to Ireland (about 1,200nm). We are flying planes which were available up until 1937 and with the handicap system in place this time any plane no matter how fast or slow stands a chance of winning which we thought would make the flight more interesting. I was flying the Eaglesoft Citation II and upon landing I activated the thrust reversers using the F2 key as always. The thrust reversers seemed to be intermittant in that they weren't fully deployed. I switched to an outside view and watched them. When I held down the F2 key they start to deploy then go back to normal. As I held down the key they never fully deploy but rather cycle back and forth. I thought I maybe had a bad key so I assigned another with the same result. Then with some experimenting I noticed that I had to depress the brakes before the reversers would deploy fully and work normally. I never noticed this before. Is this normal for deploying the th…

Just had something weird happen. My default Nellis AFB scenery is gone. All my AI aircraft are there, but all the runways, taxiways and buildings have disappered. The only scenery I had installed was some scenery made by the guys who did the TR-3B and some Area51 scenery from SimV. I removed those and Nellis is still missing. Tried a couple different planes to see if it was a plane messing things up and that didn't help. I just flew into Nellis the other night and it was all there. This is very weird. Run,, don't walk to get this add-on if you enjoy flying the Flight1 ATR. FS2Crew absolutely adds the final "icing on the cake".It works flawlessly.

Hello all. I noticed that my shorelines are climbing up the banks of some rivers and in other instances the river itself meanders up and down the base of mountains. (see attachment). I also cannot seem to get the shorelines to focus sharply even when close up or with the different water detail settings. Somewhat related is the fact that I would like to see distant scenery a little more in focus. I have experimented with the weather settings to draw distance etc to no avail. I have experimented extensively with the fs9 config and cannot find a setting draw distant scenery sharper. Can someone plaese be of assistance. Some items I have are UT, FSGLC, 38m Mesh (Justin Tyme).

I am not sure I quite understand. FE is basically from what I understnad a cloud/water texture addon - ASV offers the same, but with an intergrated weather engine? ASV has 512x512 textures for download, but people are raving about Flight1's Flight Environment. What am I missing?Are FE's textures simply "better"?

There are so many excellent repaints of Ameriflights airplanes I wish someone would make a full flight plan package with all their airplanes! There are some plans from Boris which are great, a little old, but they only cover their DHL contracts. KBUR is empty except for some learjet plans thanks to the realistic learjet package here in the library.Hopefully someone will do them! Thanks

Hello,I have a problem with my textures *ONLY* in the UK.The textures are blurry, and it looks like they ask a lot of my computer and that leads to a computer crash, everytime I'm flying in the UK.It's really frustrating, because I love flying to/from the UK.This is what I mean:This is how it's supposed to be:I already re-installed the 'Flight Simulator 9/scenery/Eurw/'-files, without any results.Could anybody help me, please?Re-installing FS in not an option, because my brother has lost 1 CD.Thanks for your help,Friso

I have used these forums as my #1 resource for advice/reviews/etc. since I got back into FS this summer. Hello.Well after using the BEV summer package for a few days now, I had to uninstall it because it is just causing too many micro-pauses. They are the worst with add-on aircraft like the eaglesoft jets and dreamfleet planes.I had absolutely no problems with smoothness issues prior to installing BEV. But afterwords, I get all kinds of pauses and some stuttering.This is too bad since I really like how BEV improves the overall look of ground textures in FS9.I use UT - USA, Canada & Alaska with no problems, but after adding BEV on top of those, it is just more than my system can handle.I tried modifying the settings in the BEV configurator one at a time to try to isolate …

Sorry I don't remember what Dassault Falcon modeluses the tri-jet layout, but I've been seeing quite a few of them at MKE lately. I'm searching for one of those small airfields such as "Emma Field" and I see many many offered.I'm wondering which one of these is a good starting airfield.What I'm looking for:An airfield or area that I can fly my DHC-2 Beaver with either wheels or floats.Something that has good ambient sounds, and a good atmosphere.Other than that, just a nice place to land a small plane and look around...I've read reviews on Emma field, Orcas Islands, Harvey and something..They all get great reviews, there's so many it's confusing. I'm just wondering is there a top 5 list of these and which ones are the best.Opinions are greatly appreciated.Jeff

I guess by now you will have seen the news that the 777 LR has taken off on a 23 hour record breaking flight. I wonder if PSS timed their release for that .Perfect flight though don't you think? I'm certainly up for it, shame it has already taken off and that I am busy on the Kings Cup Race this weekend (not that I have been shopping to PSS yet either :-) ). Not to mention my attempt to fly Concorde RTW in a little over 24 hours in two weeks time (glutton for punishment, I know).So. Who wants to give it a try? Anyone have the exact route?
