Right, trying my bestest not to be asking the usual new simmer questions but I need to be educated on this one, I have FS9 for about a year but only really getting serious this last month after upgrading PC rig. I live in Ireland and the selection of Add-ons are sparse in the local shop to say the least however the penny only dropped on me recently that you can load AI into FS9. Yeah I know, but it took a browse of forums like this one to be enlightened. So out I went and bought Ultimate Traffic as fast as I could because the box said it was fantastic, and I'm quickly getting the drift thats its not. Hey there, gang. I am looking for an STOL twin engined aircraft in a cargo configuration to add to our VA's cargo division. The Project Globe Twotter DeHavilland DHC6-300 Twin Otter Ver 4.2.5 is a favorite of mine but need it, or something VERY similar, in a "cargo" config. Freeware is definitely preferable. I am also looking at a Shorts Skyvan (U-G-L-Y but usefull) or any other suggestions you may come up with. The STOL ability is a must and the permission to repaint is also required (some freeware authors are a tad picky??). Any suggestions/ help are greatly appreciated! I have a problem when I change views the scenery texture backfills. First the scenery is like a blue screen than it backfills the texture into the scenery. I can look back and forth till I get to a new area, than it happens again. I also have sutters with AI traffic. I have tried sliders in all different postions. I have the the sliders in the lowest setting getting 120+ FPS and I still have the stutter and backfilling. I have a pertty fast system: I use Ultimate Traffic, megascenery, horizon scenery, ASW, Flight Enviroment, Traffic 2005 and Mytaffic Miltitary and alot of third party aircraft. First of all...I posted this in this forum because I want an opinion on the company, and not everyone frequents that forum (pss forum).I have never bought a PSS bird before, and I just saw the pre-release info of the 777. I would love to have a 777 in my hangar but never have bought anything from PSS.Can anyone give me any opinions on this company, and also the product if they have gotten it yet?I have most products from EagleSoft, PMDG, Flight1. I would up the PSS bird would be up to the quality of PMDG and Eaglesoft.Thanks for any thoughts and opinions, negative or positive.

From time to time, I like flying the Ryan: she is quite challenging and after a not too bad start and landing I get a nice "ego" feeling.However overall the periscope is only usable in 2D. Regrettable in 3D, the only thing I see with the periscope is the air, so I fly in 3D, but short before the landing I switch to 2D (or else I have absolute no sight at the runway; it should be possible to come in an angle to the runway, but with the Ryan is also not too easy to make a quick turn).My question is: is there a way to use the periscope also in 3D (especially during the landing)?wvannes

I recently installed Vox Atc and voice Buddy . It also said i needed to download SAPI 5 SDK from the microsoft website which i did.Since I installed these programs i have had no end of FS crashes and computer reboots[only when FS is running].It gives me the error being an unknown device driver.I updated both the sound card and graphics card drivers and still had the problem. I have since uninstalled the 3 programs 2 days ago and the system is much more stable again as it was before which makes me think that this is whats causing the problem.Not sure if i should have installed the SAPI 5 SDK. Maybe it overwrote a system file.but it said it wont install if it was already o…

I wasn't a big Cirrus fan up until now. In the vein of DreamFleet's Beechcrafts, this add-on is truly remarkable. What blew me away was when I discovered the 'VC lite' option. That option gives VC fans even better framerates due to the fact the 2D panel is not included. You just have the VC which produces better performance from the gauges in the VC. I encountered a strange effect at KORD yesterday, caused by FSFreeware's USA roads I guess, see the attachment.Looks like the roads cut through the FS9 default airports and let the default textures bleed through at both sides.Any idea if and how I can fix this?Andreas
