I recently reinstalled several Simflyers sceneries in my FS9 on a newer PC. They all work great, but it seems to me that when I tune an ILS for arrival, there is no DME displayed for the arrival runway on the cockpit DME gauge at those Simfleyrs airports. The DMEs are otherwise displayed and correctly for non-Simflyers airports.Is this "me" or is this something in the SimFlyers scenery? (I have posted this issue at Simflyers forum but so far, no responses.)Appreciate posts, thanks!JS

I am guessing this is impossible, but here goes..Currently if I switch from FS to another task I lose FS sounds. Is there any setting or trick to fix that?thanks,John.

Anybody know where to edit the overspeed alarm? I have overlooked it in the aircraft.cfg and/or airfile for the aircraft.I have an alarm going off a bit under spec. for my Gulfstream V's.Thanks:RTH

Hi guys,I was one of the many who purchased the Cirrus SR20 when Eaglesoft released it, but found it too hard on frame rates to fly often. I'm quite pleased to say that the new service release that they've made available today has really improved the experience, at least on my rig. The performance, with all gauges on in VC mode, is now quite acceptable, and I, for one, am gonna go nuts buzzing around the NW in this cute little beast!Just a heads up. If you haven't gotten the SR20 yet, now is the time! If you have it already, patch that sucker and be happy!(And no, I do not work for Eaglesoft nor do I represent them; just a happy virtual flyer)

Hi all.I've had UT for a year now, and now it's about time to ask for help with the Updater...I seem to be doing things right, according to ®TFM, and I'm presented with a list:Aircraft Repaints (90)Default FS2004 AFCAD Files (70)Addon Scenery FS2004 Files (50)In brackets are the number of files in each category I'm presented with.I'm not too sure what to do with this info. Additional repaints don't seem that exciting, and when I downloaded a few they didn't drop-off the list, and reduce the 90 to 87...The same with the following two - I installed about half a dozen of each, again when I went back in they were still there. Hi guys,I've been out of the Flight Simulator scene for a while now, at least 6 months. I've lost my touch as far as up-to-date stuff is concerned and am hoping that you guys can tell me whats hot and whats not. Any suggestions for things to get, sites or files to look out for etc. Any help would be appriciated.

Just a heads up, and some info:I found a new version of Vagar, the challenging airport in the North Atlantic, the only one on the Faeroe Islands. Max aircraft is 737 (RWY Length 1250x30 M). Atlantic Airways uses the BaE 146 a lot, among other planes.Look for: Vagar.zip by Tim Clayton in the library.I just tried the scenery, its neatly done and light on the frames, nice! Also: faroer50.zip by Rick Schuitemaker (K2, works fine, but remember to remove all files in this package which include the name Vagar. Hi all, I lost all my files for FS and I had a huge sound folder with very realistc cockpit enviornmental sounds. I need one file specific that sounds like the coockpit fans noice with the ticking sound in the background for the avionic cooling fans. Does anyone have that sound file. I had it named COCKPITSOUND and I think it was located at tinmouse with their 737-200 sounds. Can anyone help?Thanks,Bill

Im looking at rebuilding the config file and am a little confused on how to do it. I heardthat all you have to do is rename it to whatever and next time you start up fs it will rebuild it. But I also heard that all you have to do is delete it and fs9 will rebuild. What should I do, What should I do.Thank you Gerry

Hi all,As a long time Flt simmer, I have run into the problem I have only heard about. I had a computer crash requiring a new install of FS9, but unfortunately the world.cab files appear to be corrupt (presumably from an overused and scratched disk 4) which doesn't allow a complete install. The program will run, but with obvious scenerey/texture defects. Is there any where to obtain these files legally without having to purchase another program? I believe it is only the world.cab files, as that is where it seems to hang up when installing.Remaining hopeful.Dave Drum

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change the size of the kneeboard display? I would like to make it approx an inch wider and approx an inch taller but cannot seem to find anyplace where this might be done. The panel.cfg only refers to the icon placement.I can "move" the kneeboard window but am not able to stretch the sides as you can with most windows.Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.David "Opa" Marshall

Good day all,A friend of mine had a hard drive failure, loosing his 2005 RealAir SF260 along with the download link and purchase confirmation email. He has emailed both the guys at RealAir twice now but not heard back form them. Is there a specific contact to get a new download link from RealAir? The only thing we can find on the RealAir site is the purchase link.Any leads in the right direction are greatly appreciated.

Can anyone tell me if these two aircraft work on windows 2000?I understand the developer does not support other OS besides windows xp, but wondering if anyone is running them on Windows 2000.I am running the PMDG 737 just fine on WIN2k but I cannt run the Beach 1900.THanks!

I have been flight simming since about 1996 and have never run into this problem with any version of flight simulator.I installed a couple new Reality XP guages this morning (the TAWS and the weather radar system), and immediately after, FS9 will no longer run. It simply hangs at the start screen, and then stops running after driving my CPU up over 60%....So I uninstalled this software, still no luck.Deleted my fs9.cfg file so FS would create a new one. No luck.Restarted computer several times, same result.Last, attempted to uninstall FS9 completely, and sure enough, the computer hangs again and reports FS9 is not responding...in the windows task manager.
