Has anyone got the Tecnam P2006T (FlightSim Studio). I cant work out how to put on the tie down straps at the end of a flight. Is this even a capability? Seems a bit odd if they cant be as they have to be undone before the flight can be started, and the chocks can be replaced so why not the tie-downs..

Lark Charter Aviation Intro Hello all, I am a beginner flight simmer and I enjoy flying helicopters and turboprop aircraft. Unfortunately, I don't get a chance to fly very often. But one of my other hobbies is community building. I am recruiting partners to launch Lark Charter Aviation. What is LCA? Lark Charter Aviation is a virtual organization specializing in helicopter charters & tours, and GA charter flights. Our pilots will have a chance to fly out of unique locations to interesting destinations. When LCA is up and running, we'll be organizing events, and participating in VATSim & other community events. Virtual Structure Lark Charter…

Apparently, in this town in South West England (Honiton), during the 1300's, they would throw red-hot pennies from balconies down to the serfs below and enjoy the conflagration which ensued. And they still do it today, once a year. Perhaps the French and Germans will not understand such British humour.

I always turned my computer off when I left the room. I remember in my childhood my father saying, as I mosied out of the room with the light on. "It's obvious you don't pay the bills around here!" Anyway, Recently, I came out of the closet as a flight simmers a couple of friends of mine of many years in the hope they could help me. They both said that given the amount of time it takes you get that thing running we don't know why you bother. I though to myself just goes to show you two know nothing since in real aviation you spend far more time on the ground getting ready than you do in the air. But they had a point. One of my friends suggested leaving the program running…

https://simpleflying.com/united-airlines-boeing-777-descends-775-ft/ United Airlines issued a statement sainig “After landing at SFO, the pilots filed the appropriate safety report. United then closely coordinated with the FAA and ALPA on an investigation that ultimately resulted in the pilots receiving additional training. Safety remains our highest priority.” Should we take this as meaning their safety training was not sufficiently thorough in the first place?

In the wake of Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous and other modern space games, Freespace went on the back burner for me, and honestly was almost completely forgotton. Apparently however, dedicated modders have kept thier noses to the grindstone in the intervening time and.... Wow.... Now where did I put that backup ISO.....?

I saw these news this morning: https://fsnews.eu/aerosoft-receives-money-by-government-for-development/ I didn't trust that until I checked their source: https://www.bmwk.de/Redaktion/DE/Artikel/Wirtschaft/Games/Games-Projekte/airbusneo.html If Google Translate is right, there's nothing new on the description, except for the fact there's an €459k grant, and it must be executed before March/2025. I don't know what to think about this 🤷♂️ Your opinions?

Wednesday of last week about 530AM about a mile from my home in Easley South Caroline a young 22-year-old officer of the Easley P.D. was struggling with a suicidal woman on the railroad tracks in front of an oncoming train. I'm not sure exactly what transpired but somehow, he managed to save her but was run over himself. Officer Hare was unmarried, raised by a single Mother and had a younger brother. He was a football player for Easley High School, graduated in 2019 and wisely completed electrician school as a backup before entering law enforcement completed training at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and had just completed his cadet training with E.P.D. Such …

Russ makes some good points about the intersection of real world aviation and home simulators. Also, he would have real world aviation events be more welcoming to flight sim hobbyists. EAA AIrVenture 2023 Simulation Exhibits - YouTube
