Any comments pro or con about Computer Pilot Magazine?I received a snail mail flyer about it today and amtempted to try it but it's somewhat pricey for a magazine.P.S. I did do a search for other posts about it but I've never been able to get the search engine here to find much of anything. To be fair the "other site" search engine isn't any better!

Just read in a private forum that on Good Morning America this morning, the wives of the UAL pilots killed in the Sept.11 tragedy got their husbands last paychecks from United. The trouble is that their pay for those fateful flights were not on the paychecks because the flights were not completed. What??? Way to show some compassion there United. I know it is not how the line employees think at UAL but the greedy corprate jerks in UAL's management.

Any of you remember that classic episode of the Twilight Zone where Captain Kirk is terrorized by a bizarre creature out on the wings of his aircraft during his flight? (What was that craft, anyways - anybody know?) Well, the future has finally caught up. Well, not really, but it made me think of it:There's a company in Seattle called Advanced Robotic Vehicles that has designed a robot currently crawling away on the Louvre art museum in Paris doing its window washing duties. So what does that have to do with the Twilight Zone or aircraft? Well, the robot wasn't really designed for window washing:"But while the Louvre deal is its first big contract, the company's goal …

Hi All,Lately on flightsim communities Airbus is getting more attention than Boeing. I guess much is related to the fact that in the FS2000 period many very good Boeing aircraft are built. Now these designers switch over to Airbus. But in real life I also see KLM, Cathay Pacific switching over to Airbus. Is it a hype or what reasons would they have to switch over to Airbus? Or is it just me?Thanks in advance for your opinion!Regards, Ferry

Analysis of Bush presidency suggests a nation overthrownConsider this: An inarticulate, politically inexperienced man with family links to a previous national regime comes to provincial leadership. Subsequently he gains the highest national office without winning the popular vote. The election in which he was declared the victor is considered compromised by his brother's province. He appoints a chief law enforcement officer who has repeatedly called for constitutional revisions. Regulatory agencies are filled with those previously regulated. Soldiers patrol transportation centers. International treaties are abrogated. International legal organizations are shunned. Roles o…

Hi there,I couldn't see any way to make this a poll but I was wondering whether people here think that the Apollo missions to the Moon were faked or not.I've seen the documentaries, I've read the articles, and I don't know what to think. All I'll say is this: two of my favourite movies are 'The Right Stuff' and 'Apollo 13' - if we didn't go to the Moon then I'd be very disappointed!(If anyone at AVSIM can turn this into a poll with yes/no/maybe(!) choices then I'd appreciate it!)Iain Spowart,Scotland.Webmaster and photographer,Scottish Claymores 2002Cheerleaders Fan Sitehttp://avsim.iainspowart.com/2002-s.jpghttp://www.claymorescheerleaders.comhttp://www.iainspowart.com

Why does this particular casino also hold a place in Computing history?Hint: Before 1990, the Horizon was known as the High Sierra Casino.Anyone know? She actualy believes that the contrails made by planes are chemicals sprayed by the government... :-lol She calls them 'chemtrails' and she also believs that Denver Int'l is a secret uunderground base with secret messages hidden in the art around the airport. Man, there are many things which are funny.... she needs to see a doctor. Look at the pictures of nomral airliners flying with a caption like 'NY got hammered to chems today'And one guy said he photographed a 'chem plane' hehe...he shows a picture of a Virgin Atlantic 747, I believe, and thinks it's a conspiracy.http://www.anomalies-unlimited.…
