Hangar Chat
This forum is for the discussion of things you might discuss when going into an airport hangar. Please make sure that your topic isn't covered in another forum before posting here. Please refrain from controversial topics...politics, religion, conspiracy theories, climate change, COVID etc. Topics that elicit or are deemed by staff likely to elicit heated argument, contention, or otherwise objectionable banter will be removed from view. We allow some latitude, but please remember that, first and foremost, this is a flight-simulator oriented site frequented by people from all walks of life.

Johnathon Ferguson, of the Royal Armouries Museum has degree and diploma from the universities of Exeter and Leicester. On Youtube he often brings out strange and rare museum pieces that look like they were designed by Acme and used by Wylie Coyote. But this is a gun used by the Spitfire and the Hurricane.

Well, that was a little scary. Someone tried to hijack my Steam account. Next time you try to log in to Steam and it doesn't accept your name/password, do not do the automatic password reset. Somehow, someone was able to change the email associated with my account. Any password change attempt on my part would have sent the request to the spurious email addy. Instead, first check your email. I had gotten two notifications on an attempt to change my email, then a third saying it had been completed. One of the notifications had instructions for retrieving my account, which I was able to successfully do, then I changed my email back to what it was supposed to b…

Let me start by saying I am a firm believer in: "the workman is worthy of his/her hire". I try to be a fair even generous tipper and do our share of giving. I do donate to freeware developers just as a way of saying thanks for your contribution of time and talent to our hobby. But I am kind of confused by a certain "freeware" web site that charges IMO a rather hefty mandatory "donation" for there "freeware" photo scenery. I'm not saying the work is not worth it or it's an over charge but how do you call it a donation when it is for all practical purposes a charge for the product? I've at times wondered the same when a TV preacher says for "your love gift of $$ I'll send …

Hmmm, PPrune is a refernce since years for me. More often in the past I would go there and go through some of the forums, and learned a lot from there! Tahnks to João Galaio for ths link, and the interesting information in it about the correct handling of the modern buses when it comes to following, or not, the Flight Directors, and swiching OFF or not the A/T.... In at least two of my jumpseat flights in A320 I did observe the PF switching OFF both FDs and also the AT, and manually flying the approach after the FAF in one instance and the IAF in the other ( still more than 20 NM from the airfield ).... Or nonsense? You decide. https://thedebrief.org/nasa-veterans-propellantless-propulsion-drive-that-physics-says-shouldnt-work-just-produced-enough-thrust-to-defeat-earths-gravity/ "Dr. Charles Buhler, a NASA engineer and the co-founder of Exodus Propulsion Technologies, has revealed that his company’s propellantless propulsion drive, which appears to defy the known laws of physics, has produced enough thrust to counteract Earth’s gravity."
