Olivier Rioux is 7 feet 9 inches tall and will now play for Florida Gators in college basketball. I remember a television cartoon series from years ago. The normal size Canadian Mountie and a big burly Frenchman who was always up to something. And then the NHL has those "enforcers", often with French Canadian names. Rioux was born in Terrebonne to 6' 8" Jean-Francois and Anne Gariepy, 6 ft 1 in. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/florida-recruit-who-stands-nearly-8-feet-tall-set-become-tallest-college-basketball-player-ever

Titanium has been used in parts made for the Boeing 737 Max, 787 Dreamliner, and Airbus A220 jets The counterfeit titanium would have been produced by an unknown Chinese manufacturer who, through forgery, made it appear to come from the well-known and certified Baoji Titanium Industry. The FFA is investigating. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/14/us/politics/boeing-airbus-titanium-faa.html

I wonder who is to blame for this. This happened at a seaplane base, so have planes the right of way or boats? Or do they both count as sea vessels as long as they are on the water? https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/seaplane-crash-vancouver-coal-harbour-1.7229406 Peter

I love the Red Arrows, displaying in my neck of the woods next week, but The Blue Angels are surely the ultimate. 18 inches apart at 400 knots. Great documentary, nicely filmed, on Prime, if anyone fancies a watch.

Before the Dovetail sims, there was Microsoft Railroad Simulator. And one of my favorite addons was the Talyllyn narrow gauge. ------------ May 28, 1989, 80th birthday, the Railway put a superhero mask on the 1929 Peter Sam LOL.

I'm sure we will see many GMTs here... which is awesome because they are my favourite.... I love Omega SMPs but I'd bet many of you fly with Rolex or Speedys. Let's see them... The Bond GMT (top) is my everyday watch... I love it... my first and favourite... The Planet Ocean is a beautiful watch.. but it feel a little clucky to me. The 8605 movement has been very solid over the last ~5 years. do own one speedy... its a 3572.50... No Rolex for me at this time.. although someday I'd love a Pepsi GMT. Whatcha got AVSIM?

This simple question is directed to trying to keep our PCs in the best possible condition. After a day of work or simulation, we can decide to turn them Off, put them to Sleep or to Hibernation every night. Each condition is different and according to several sources on the web that I read a while ago, it would be better not to turn it on/off every day because it could cause a lot of stress on the machine, and on that occasion those sources recommended instead putting it in Sleep or Hibernation. I usually try to put it into Hibernation every night, but I tend to think that it is not too safe because a external power supply problem (a storm, a power failure, a voltage…
