Hi i hope this is the right place to ask this question, with hours and minutes to be shown in a flight on a virtual airline it has to be shown in decimal,example- a one hour and half flight would be 1.5 as opposed to 1 30 ,a hour and three qaurters would be 1.7not 1 45 what i would like is a table for all the five minutes intervals in decimal, what would one hour ten or one hour twenty five etc sorry to be a bit thick but i can,t think of them for the life of me ,thanks for any help :)

Just to finish my little saga, most of you might remember back in the end of May when I was whining about getting my medical with having issues being a type II diabetic. Well I got my medical sometime around the end of June and continued on with my training and solos... Today I took my checkride and passed with flying colors. I took my written exam last week and was kinda bummed that I missed a question on it. On the oral I missed two questions. I must be slipping some. Any way also got to experience a new item today. On my way to go get the examiner (had to fly to another airport for him) I had a 10 knot crosswind, no big deal have been flying in those all summer l…

Hi:Was anyone else following the Gemini`s return to earth that crashed yesterday.I find it incredible that Nasa with a plus 300 million dollar price tag would rely on a shute and one of 2 choppers to catch it.I was hoping for one of the choppers to snag it,now that would of been some amazing flying thats for sure.

Hi allIf this is the wrong thread, sorry, please move it.Here's the problem. I've been running FS2002 Pro on WinME without any real problems since it first came out. Now something really irritating has developed. Every now and then when selecting an a/c or, occasionally, when hitting F9 to start FS NAV, my computer will re-boot itself.Maybe a coincidence, but this problem started after installing the drivers for a modem which came with my broadband package (which works fine).Any ideas on how to solve this would be much appreciated, but I'm not a computer expert which, from a positive point of view, means I do very little 'fiddling and tweaking'.Thanks in advance!Gavin

Do you think an airline in the EU and Star Alliance would get better treatment from Airbus or Boeing? I like both, but I'm just wondering what would be a more possible outcome, Airbus or Boeing?

Howdy,Anyone know the old ICAO code (or designation) for Oban/Half Moon Bay, Stewart Island, New Zealand? Amphibious traffic operated down there regularly until the mid-1970s before NZRC was privately constructed.

Mount Holly, NJ, 13:10 local, Friday 3 September... A formation of six helicopters, presidential Blackhawk second, flanked in diagonal formation, followed closely by three Chinooks, also diagonal formation, Southbound toward Philadelphia and presumably DC.Whatever it was, it stopped me from singing and made me go out front in my socks. Thought I would share some info on a very good day for my household today in this group of friends. My son Clint is 17 years old. he has been working on his pilots license for some time and solo'ed today at KFTY (Fulton County - Brown Field in Atlanta). He was very ready and was flawless on his three take offs and landings. I was really proud of him for reasons other than pure pilotage. I got my license over 20 years ago. What I learned from that exercise was that I could conquer a serious academic and skill exercise and liberate myself not only from my parents, bosses, teachers, and significant others...but literally the bounds of earth! Freedom! Real Fr…

Hi,I have just read about the Air Malta 737 that had problems at Glasgow last night.Apparently it burst a tyre and was forced to circle the airport for 3 hours to burn off fuel before it could land again at Glasgow.I have 2 questions about this.1) Does the 737 have fuel dumping capacity?, and if so why did they not use it.2) Instead of circling an airport for 3 hours, why not continue the flight?, I guess its a saftey thing, just incase anything else was a problem, but they still had to stay in the air for 3 hours, where they could have had another problem anyway?.Dan.

Folks:What is the purpose of a moderated forum? Censorship or preventing defamation? As with most, I was excited to see the AVSIM headline that PSS had screenshots of there next a/c. I anxiously clicked to link not knowing what to expect. Now, I'm not a Concorde fan; so, it probably should not come as a surprise that I'm not very interested in the PSS Concorder.I decided to post my opinion. Here's what I stated, verbatim: "I'll pass."I was somewhat surprised to see that the PSS moderators did not allow my post. So, what's the purpose of a moderated forum? Censorship, prevention of defamation, or possibly both??I'm not challenging the purpose, I'm just interested to kno…
