After reading such a glorified review of the PSS Concord I have one question that kept me from buying this 5 star product in the first place (well maybe the lack of support for the FS2k4 updated A320 helped my decision not to buy as well) . Is the VC fully clickable or not??? I mean like the Koch Concord, is the main panel, upper, and engineers panel clickable??? For a 5 star review this basic function should be available in the VC. For 5 stars I should be able to fly fully from the VC. Just like I can with the PMDG 737NG/B1900, Feelthere CRJ/ERJ, All DreamFleet products, FSD, Ready For Pushback, CaptainSim, Koch, Eaglesoft, and last but not least even 'Perfect Flight…

I find the "dumbing down of software quality" disturbing. The customers that accept anything less than a properly functioning product are only setting the stage for even worse conditions in the future, as software companies take advantage of the "peaceful customers".Taking the high moral ground and urging other customers to have patience with a defective product is not a good approach. It may be ok to tell a lynch mob to calm down but we are not at that stage - YET!. If you take a broad view of such a moral position you become a victim of sloppy workmanship and even worse fixes. Some vendors are just a distributor and probably spend little time or money testing what they …

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!A few years ago I heard about two guys attempting the first ever polar circumnavigation for a single engine piston plane in a Piper Malibu. I am interested in the specifics of their attempt especially the quantity of extra fuel the plane was modified to carry. Their intended flight path and their names if anyone remembers too. Last I heard they were forced to hangar the plane at the south pole for the winter but what happened from there? I tried Piper but they haven't gotten back. Wouldn't that be a great twist for a round the world race? Single engine pistons any path that continues north or south and touches both poles. No mods except ext…

When determining price points for Flight Sim related products, especially on the hardware side, I am amazed. I know it is kind of a Catch 22.Is it because of a huge initial investment? Or maybe the market is just too small to apply a good volume based production model.Take the GoFlight Rudder Pedals for example. Probably better quality than the CH Products Pedals (a guess), but over twice the price? PFC even higher! If the quality is that much better, you think that GoFlight would offer it at maybe $199 to lure potential CH Products customers. Could you justify the $70 price difference? My understanding is that with the PFC controls and threads I have read here on AVSI…

This takes Orbiter to a new level of immersion and enhances situational awareness by providing a rotating camera viewpoint. Instrument displays are fully functional, and buttons and switches can be operated with the mouse. The Orbiter distribution provides a reference cockpit implementation for the Delta-glider, but addon spacecraft can be upgraded using the virtual cockpit programming interface.New visual effects: New atmospheric haze rendering make planets appear much more…

In 2003 I bought an FS2004 addon from a respectable flight sim vendor. Very recently I needed to get a new installation key so e-mailed the vendor for one. Two days later I am still waiting. So I went to my local computer store and bought the CD version which doesn't require a key. Time taken waiting - 2 minutes. Two days versus two minutes - no contest. This is why I am against anything which prohibits my use of software which I purchase.David

All these Lago post are allowed to stay in the General Forums area but soon as a post comes up about PSS, it get's moved to the Hanger Chat forum...Can you guys explain to me what the purpose is of these two forums and why a PSS thread is not allowed to linger too long here???From my understanding the General Forum is for all FS related topics. Whether it be DreamFleet or Active Camera, it's all FS related. Hanger Chat I thought was for other topics about Aviation in general. What I'm seeing is we are able/allowed to discuss the Lago MadDog and other developement companies to the fullest extent here but all PSS related topics get moved....Just wondering... :-roll

Do you agree with the way reviews are scored, can you think of a better more accurate way?I was personally shocked a while back at the review and scores given to the Aeroworx B200 (In my opinion one of the most "realistic feel" aircraft in MSFS.I tend to agree there are outside pressures which influence the reviewer and it takes a bold reviewer to recieve a free addon be lavished with attention by the producer to then rubbish the product.an addon aircraft is a mass of code and programmimg compiled to give a simulation of a real aircraft. What makes a poor simulation? a good one and an outstanding one?Is an outstanding simulation an aircraft of outside visual perfection and…

Last month I sent the FAA a request for a new pilot certificate that did not include my SSN. Yesterday I received my replacement certificate. The new credit card format is a significant, long-overdue improvement. My last certificate, issued in 1998, looked like it was printed on a grocery store bag with a dot-matrix printer. It used to be that you had to laminate those paper certificates or they wouldn't last more than a year or two.

I posted in AVSIM yesterday about the news on simflights homepage about the MS seeking employees for future versions of flight sims and linked to xxxx so everyone could read it. Now today it was gone! Not even moved to hangar chat it was gone all together. And there where absolutely no flaming going on.The funny thing is that Tom himself have been making fun of flightsim about they not allowing people to discuss AVSIM in their forums and then you do the same. Over two weeks ago I ordered the "USA Roads" CD from the AVSIM Store. I got a confirmation on the order which is to be charged to my credit card, an order number and the next day an e-mail stating it is back-ordered. I've been patiently waiting for an update from them on when this product will be shipped, but haven't heard anything. I sent a follow-up e-mail but no one has responded. IS ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE HAVING A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH THE AVSIM STORE (VMAX)? This product is available on many different flight sim web sites, and I'm considering pulling the order and buying elsewhere if I'm not contacted soon by the AVSIM store.R/Mike

In all the years of visiting AVSIM I have never disagreed with the stars system and the products that received it. However, I wanted to express my opinion on the review. I do not have the product, but based on the review I fail to see the 5 star reasons. With the exception that it is a Concord product - what 'cutting edge' devlopments are there? being able to save the switch state?Yes, I read the review and yes, I enjoy PSS product greatly - but based only on the reivew I would have expected to see a 4 or 4.5 star rating.I dont know, maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. Just my thoughts. I hope those that purchase it, enjoy it.
