Hangar Chat
This forum is for the discussion of things you might discuss when going into an airport hangar. Please make sure that your topic isn't covered in another forum before posting here. Please refrain from controversial topics...politics, religion, conspiracy theories, climate change, COVID etc. Topics that elicit or are deemed by staff likely to elicit heated argument, contention, or otherwise objectionable banter will be removed from view. Sometimes in the airliners I'm flying I might have a tight turn shortly after TO and I'm unable to stay on the magenta line w/o over-banking so I'll overshoot the line some. I'm keeping airspeed down but maybe not enough. We're using very short range for example 2.5mi, whereas at 10 or 20mi I might not notice the deviation off the line. What's considered too much off the magenta line? And of course referring to hand-flying up to 10K or what have you.

A large low pressure is sitting over Spain and causing some extremely wet weather. A station west of Valencia has recorded 11” of rain today. 275mm. And 2.72” at Malaga. This has been caused by a kink in the jet stream resulting in a large high pressure area over Northern Europe and the UK bringing dry, settled but overcast weather. https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/ITURS6

Condor 3 release party with Wiek Schoenmakers Condor 3 is here !!! Gude on how to Set a Task in Condor 3 | New Features & Beginner Guide - YouTube If soaring simulation is you objective, Condor 3 is the way to go... We simply can't get anywhere even only near of what Condor provides. Yes, most will complain that it contrasts at the graphics / scenery level with other platforms like MSFS 2020 / 2024, Aerofly FS4 and X-Plane 12, but when it comes to modelling soaring weather, logistics, instruments, and flight dynamics, Condor, now in it's Version 3, is the way to go... Just purchased XC 🙂, this Years' Christmas present, eheheheh .... I imagine …

It happened to a United Airlines B767 at Zurich Airport after a hard landing. In a comment the flight attendant on this flight said that it happened because of a mechanical malfunction, the spoilers failed to deploy.

For some reason, while I was looking at some MSFS2024 videos, I suddenly remembered the proposed community-powered NextGen Flight simulator that eventually caused such controversy and vitriol on the forum. It was experimenting with the Unigine Engine back then, and It occurred to me of how nearly impossibly futuristic its features seemed at the time; almost beyond the point of believability that simmers could ever have anything that looked like that. Now I look at FS2024, and realize how close we are now to finally realizing that once unattainable-seeming sim that was talked about so long ago..... We have Just about a month to go... And think how far w…

He is a machine, pumping out repaints and other addons. Many of the models he repaints for I do not own, but appreciate his work. It is tough finding repaints sometimes and he paints everything!

As a former MSFS developer who worked for Microsoft, I posted a topic here that I had hoped would spark conversation about the release of the latest version of my favorite Flight Simulator. It quickly became apparent that there are many highly toxic users here in the years since I first visited it. I was saddened by most of the comments. Although a few were respectful to the conversation I was trying to start, it's become evident to me that this is not a place where reasonable conversation can take place. Adios.

So do you think this is amazing.... or creepy? For some reason, one of the first things I thought of was that old saw about bringing dead actors back to life for new shows. Seems like thats getting more and more possible.....
