October 27, 20241 yr For some reason, while I was looking at some MSFS2024 videos, I suddenly remembered the proposed community-powered NextGen Flight simulator that eventually caused such controversy and vitriol on the forum. It was experimenting with the Unigine Engine back then, and It occurred to me of how nearly impossibly futuristic its features seemed at the time; almost beyond the point of believability that simmers could ever have anything that looked like that. Now I look at FS2024, and realize how close we are now to finally realizing that once unattainable-seeming sim that was talked about so long ago..... We have Just about a month to go... And think how far we've come.... 🤔 We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. It's worth remembering that I am running MSFS 2020 at high detail levels on a GTX 980Ti (which is only one generation ahead of that 780Ti), and I think that others are running it on a 1060 or 970 (or maybe even less).
