Hangar Chat

This forum is for the discussion of things you might discuss when going into an airport hangar.  Please make sure that your topic isn't covered in another forum before posting here.  Please refrain from controversial topics...politics, religion, conspiracy theories, climate change, COVID etc.  Topics that elicit or are deemed by staff likely to elicit heated argument, contention, or otherwise objectionable banter will be removed from view.  We allow some latitude, but please remember that, first and foremost, this is a flight-simulator oriented site frequented by people from all walks of life.

It looks more like Max Headroom. LOL. Remember when he had to pretend to look pleased at the unveiling of his statue in Madeira?

Sorry for the phone pics, I'm not walking un assisted yet so couldn't get to my camera... The video is awesome! You can hear them "talking" and I am not sure if they were playing, fighting or mating! The females are usually larger so it looks like the female came and stole the food the Male Eagle had stolen from the Osprey! So fortunate to have all of this in my backyard!! These birds are huge BTW. Probably 3 feet tall and double that in wingspan... Someone restored this footage and posted it a few hours ago. Two of more interesting movies are Trader Horn because of the wild animals filmed. And the documentary featuring Clarence Darrow talking about Darwin's theory. 1931 was very early in the sound movie era and movies were now the rage. This was precode era, and so subjects that were censored starting in 1934 were allowed at this time. Some of the comments on Youtube speak about the features that were being presented here in late 1931.

I have a small collection of addons with most of them being payware...100+. Since I fly strictly small GA now, I wanted to come up with a way to determine where I fly while at the same time help keep a list of the airports I have added. I fly using OnAir having come from the FSE days and use OA and their feature to provide jobs by building FBOs and set the gate to create jobs going to other FBOs I own within a certain range. To do so I created a few different companies by just naming the FBOs similarly with the airport code added. Each company has a headquarters where I keep my planes and a mechanic on duty. So I then decided a couple of months ago to make an excel …

Men get a lot of criticism these days, with the toxic male stuff, but today is the international day to highlight men's issues and also men's achievements. What better way to do that than with the launch of a big SpaceX rocket (see other thread) and a aesthetically pleasing, almost godlike photo of the male form. Almost as beautiful as Charlie in his prime.

Despite Microsoft load testing the game's servers with 200,000 simulated users, the game suffered — and is still suffering — from overwhelmed backend services, which have been the main cause for game loading issues and crashes. According to Microsoft engineers, the game's infrastructure was stress-tested with 200,000 simulated users …

  23. A Norwegian fishing crew was surprised this week by the day’s big, rare catch — a U.S. submarine longer than a football field. Harald Engen was delivering halibut to a village on Norway’s west coast when he got a message that a U.S. submarine had gotten entangled in his 32-foot boat’s trawl nets while sailing near the surface and were dragging them out to sea, broadcaster NRK News reported. The 377-foot, 7,800-ton, nuclear-powered USS Virginia was headed to port with a Norwegian Coast Guard vessel escorting. The Coast Guard crew needed to cut the submarine free. “I know about other vessels that have sailed over fishing nets, but no one out here have ever he…
