Hi All Outside of my normal flight sim activities i have a meeting next week which requires some airport/airline data. Specifically i want to try and get a trend for how many flights each airline has operated in key UK airports by month and year for the last 3 years... For example - BHX - 2023 - 140,000 flights, 20% Easyjet, 30% Jet 2.... vs 2022 with similar stats. Is there anywhere obvious to get this? I have a gold subscription to Flight Radar 24 but i dont see anything obvious there. Appreciate any ideas! Thanks Matt

Long and heavy going, so I suspect only a few will watch it. But nonetheless, the implications will be very profound for humankind.

In Norwich. It's not a high price pizza joint, they just don't want you to choose pineapple. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/pizzeria-charging-whopping-125-per-183550636.html

Its interesting to hear the difference in the pilots voices as they deal with two different types of emergencies.

Three excellent scifi movies of my generation are being shown on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) this evening starting at 6:00pm MDT. From 1956 - Earth versus the Flying Saucers From 1978 - Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Early movie parts for Donald Southerland and Leonard Nemoy. From 1982 - The Thing. He's not credited but James Arness of Gunsmoke fame plays the Thing. Noel

Beginning last evening, it began snowing here in Hot Springs, AR. By bedtime, we got about 5 inches of heavy snow. I got up around 3:30 am. After visiting nature, I happened to glance out the window in my front door and was devastated to discover... ...that the additional 8 inches of heavy snow collapsed my car canopy, trapped my car and broke one of my trunk mount antennas and may have caused other damage I haven't had the heart to even venture outdoors to check! What I can see however is that the aluminum frame has been torqued like a pretzel and is likely to have broken some of the joints. 🤑

I always thought they did, but they don't. I don't pretend to understand everything in this article but some of you might. https://bigthink.com/starts-with-a-bang/black-hole-myth-suck/ Noel

This is for all sims. Who uses the sim to practice any situation? I use OnAir to give me a purpose to fly from Point A to B. However, I keep telling myself I need to do more local flights and practice emergency procedures or just practice shooting approaches with misses and holds. I kinda think I would like to have a routine or schedule to set aside simming time just for that purpose but hoping there is an addon that would help with giving an objective or goal for doing that. Just curious if anyone has any ideas of addons or your own personal way to do this.

Introducing Sunni Holden, a 13-year-old lad from Down Under. He has true talent as both a player as well as composer for the hand pan. He is multi-talented and can create rhythm with nearly anything one could imagine, even with rocks for heaven's sake! He is also a pretty good soccer player on top of everything else...

Can anyone explain why we have no flight sim exhibitions in the UK? It’s very odd. I have always thought there was a good, healthy, flight sim community in the UK that would eagerly support sim exhibitions. I never visited Cosford, but I visited the Weston super Mare event when it happened. I may be wrong, but I don’t think we’ve had a UK exhibition for some time now, have we? Is anyone ‘in the know’ I would really like to visit an event, it would also be a great opportunity to get to meet some of the guys on Avsim. Seems such a shame not to have the opportunity.

This is really amazing. Declan personally plays forty instruments in one of the best arrangements for the classic tune "Sleigh Ride."
