Wow was stunned to hear of the passing of Sascha Felix, I bought Fs Commander on April 19 2007 and have used it on every single flight, literally thousands of hours. What a contribution made to the fs community. My condolences to friends and family.

Its driving me crazy because I cant remember the name of this software that came out in the early 90's for FS5. It was a DOS bassed weather program for FS5 that did what Active sky does today only in a more primitive way. It was ugly looking Dos software that connected to an FAA server and downloaded real weather an feed it to Flightsimulator. Since FS5 didnt render clouds well, It was hard to tell if it was even working correctly. As I remember it stopped working after a few months. I seem to remember there was some licening issues as where it was getting its data from and it was supposed to be fixed to pull the data from somewhere else, but never was. At that time every…

Hello,I have seen that many new Boeing 737NG's have been made without "Eyebrow" windows. Is there still a 737 that rolls off the production line with these windows from time to time, or have they been removed from 737s altogether?

According to Wikipedia, AVSIM was hacked on May 12, 2009. Obviously I was not apart of the community yet, so I don't remember. It must have felt HORRIBLE for all the simmers here, such a great website being brought down by some idiot. Besides, out of all the websites in the world you can hack in, why AVSIM? It has not been publicly announced yet, but someone I met with last week, who's on the Reno Air Race Committee, told me that due to the tragedy last September, where 11 people lost their lives and dozens more were injured, some very seriously, those involved with the Air Races just can't go on with the event.The RARA officials, before making the actual public announcement of the ending of the Reno Naitonal Air Races after a 48 year run, are looking at what they are going to replace them with, before going public.Steve (Bear) CartwrightReno, NV

For those of you familiar with the 3D live flight tracking(for Google Earth)....is this still available?I have tried two of the available airports for tracking(LAX,ORD)and it appears the last data being shown was....10/04/2011. I have read online that the a320 rudder pedals provide nose wheel steering up to about 6 degree deflections. Why then do I see a320's performing flight control checks at my local airport, rudder included, and the aircraft remain taxiing in a straight line? Thanks.

There are obvious differences between the main variants of aircraft (e.g. -200, -300, -400, etc...), but what are the more specific variant numbers? For instance, you can see variant numbers on airliners.net such as "737-291", "L-1011-385-3", or "747-267B". What do the smaller numbers mean?Thanks,boeing247

Hi,I would be grateful if anyone can help !I have loaded the game onto my laptop running Windows 7, It says at the header page I need to goto www.lglass.com to get updates for the game, but this webpage shows porn stuff etc.Whe I go to play the game, I double click on the desktop Icon and it says, A problem caused the programm to stop working correctly.
