So guys! Those of you who remember me, I was having air sickness problem for my first flights, and many of you helped me a lot during that phase. I won't say I never had it again, there was one bumpy ride that made me feel bad, althought not as bad as to loose the ability to be in control of the aircraft. Well, today the subject is different. I'm having touch and go training, getting ready for my solo flight, and as soon as I master the landing, they will let me fly solo for the first time. It hasn't been easy though. I've been having problems flying, either because of bad weather, and now there's the Rio +20 Happening here, and all flights have been cancelled for…

The report into the findings of the crash said that the readings being gathered by the automated flight director — which uses cross hairs superimposed over an artificial horizon to indicate the required positioning of the plane — would have resulted in repeated calls for the plane’s nose to be lifted. If a glass of water had been left on the flight deck perhaps this would have enabled the pilots to know the attitude of the aircraft and thus prompt them to lower the nose. If this be so maybe a water container should be a standard component in an easily seen position on the flight deck. A silly suggestion? Cliff

I planned a flight from Pisa,Italy to Rio D.J Brazil and it was around 4200 miles. I was reading online that the 747-400 can fly up to 8,000 miles yet I get insufficient fuel on FMC on the ground. Passengers are near 1/3 full. 366,000 lbs were loaded through PMDG config. How is that not enough fuel?

Like most Simmers I disabled UAC and as a result payed the price. Did anyone else get bit by the 'Sire' trojan? Basically it crippled my PC and required a total reinstall to resolve. Once it installs it will disable you antivirus software (Mine being Windows Security Essentials). When you try to reactivate it you will get an alert that it is not currently installed. When you go to reinstall it, you will get redirected to another bogus site. Once I found a way around that, Windows essentials would find the offending Sire files, clean them but then reboot on a system crash. In the end my computer would reboot every time within a minute of a windows restart. I …

Check out this video of Brazilian Air Force pilots in their French-built Mirage 2000 fighter jets shattering practically every window in the Supremo Tribunal Federal in Brasilia during their flypast. If that isn't incompetent, what is? Surely they'd have known that soundwaves from such a high-speed pass would/could do that. http://video.dailytelegraph.com.au/2252550433/Pilots-shatter-Supreme-Courts-windows-in-fly-by

We've been having quite a bit of a laugh at this one. As a diplomatic stand against New Zealand's Nuclear-free zone, for your punishment we are going to make you dock you ships....NEXT TO HOOTERS :LMAO: http://www.stripes.c...-tower-1.182289 This has been some of the best US Diplomacy I have seen in a long time. I am just glad the sailors are having the time of their lives. We don't have Hooters in New Zealand so I can imagine how excited these guys were. Cheers

Hi I'm wondering whether I'm the only one that would Love too have a new private jet to fly around in on FSX. I've recently been working on a Hawker 750XP, which is a small 7 seater private jet, it also has a glass cockpit (http://www.flightglo...0xp-cockpit.jpg). This aircraft is such a beautiful aircraft to work on and also to fly, it handles nicely and has very up to date avionics. Here are a few pictures of the aircraft; http://farm6.static...._0567b1ccb3.jpg http://www.businessa...er-750-2(1).jpg http://www.google.co...XMjdyeBw&zoom=1 Thank You very Much. Matt

Sad news my friends: On Monday July 2nd the first of 10 KLM MD11 (PH-KCH) has been retired. The last one will be retired in 2014. Today KLM is the only regular airline that still has sceduled MD11 passenger flights. Other airlines operate them on chartered flights or use the freighter.

3 weeks to go, and I'm off on my Harley to Oshkosh. This year you can get a ride on FiFi (The last flying B-29), A B-17 (I forget the name), and of course the Tri-motor Fords. Its a whopping 500 (495.00) U.S. dollars for the B-17 ride ... Still... How many Non WWII participants can say they flew in a B-17?? I really don't have the money for the trip... but we only live once right? I'll hop on a Tri-Ford (so long as no one takes my picture.. no Chevy man should suffer the humility of it all)... But what I'm going for is a chance to sit in, and take pictures of, all those wonderful planes in my FSX hanger!! I'm hoping to see one of the Turbine Dukes there for sure.. an…

Found an amazing youtube recording of ATC at Oshkosh. The volumne of visually controlled inbound aircraft is incredible. The tower does not have time to wait for aircraft to acknowledge ATC instructions except to rock their wings when told. Amazing! Kind regards,

Hi! Besides flightsim as a hobby one of the things I love is just going to airports and hanging out. Look in the shops, look at the departure board, drink a Starbucks, read USA today. Living in South UK my three main airports I go to are Gatwick, Heathrow and sometimes Stansted. They all have their own character. GA airports are also good too and I go to my local Redhill quite a lot. I can spend hours in an international airport. I just love being in them. I once spent two weeks staying at a cheap chain motel within walking distance from Toulouse Blagnac airport and passing my days jogging and eating and reading and hanging out in the terminal watching Air Fran…
