Hangar Chat
This forum is for the discussion of things you might discuss when going into an airport hangar. Please make sure that your topic isn't covered in another forum before posting here. Please refrain from controversial topics...politics, religion, conspiracy theories, climate change, COVID etc. Topics that elicit or are deemed by staff likely to elicit heated argument, contention, or otherwise objectionable banter will be removed from view. Does anyone have any experiance dealing with the above company? I ordered £190 worth of goods from them and paid extra for next day delivery, my card has been debited however I received no confirmation email. I stayed in today waiting for delivery however, nothing has turned up, they haven't replied to three of my emails sent yesterday and today and they wont pick up the phone, in fact what is most worrying is that i can't even leave a voicemail as the answering machine is full! http://proviationshop.co.uk

Hi everyone! Many of you around here might be aware of my presence here at Avsim. I typically lurk around the hardware forums and FSX Forum and I've been posting here for a few years now. Anyways,[regardless of background, ethnicity, nationality, beliefs, etc] I would like to warmly thank everyone here on Thanksgiving Day for being such a wonderfully intricate and tightly knit community. I know that many of you might not always agree with me on certain issues but, I would like to say that it is truly my honor to collaborate with such brilliant minds! Thanks everyone!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! ^_^

Hi guys, My family and I just visited the National Airline History Museum in Kansas City, Missouri, and I must say, if you're ever in KC and have 2 or so hours to waste, this is a fantastic place! The museum has an interesting exhibit on the golden ages of TWA and Frontier, which were key influences in the KC aviation community, with uniforms and other historical artifacts on display, as well as some news papers from Lindbergh's TATL crossing, as well as some other miscellaneous but interesting things. A mini movie theater is fitted with 20 or so first class seats from a TWA L1011. But perhaps the best part is their hangar. They are restoring a DC-3, and house a M…

http://www.independe...cy-3300858.html And I was so much hoping for 'flight sim enthusiast helps pilots and lands the crippled plane'. Now I do wonder how they came up with the name of the right passenger. Or did they ask over the PA 'Erm, this is your Captain speaking, does somebody of you know how to handle a 747 for real?' Or maybe they are using secret code words. You know, like 'the Eagle won't land itself' or something, being the international message for pilots report to duty! Just thinking. And is there a discount for passengers later flying the plane themselves? Questions.

The world is full of bad customer service these days, so its nice when someone bucks the trend - and it's so easy to moan about the bad stuff and forget about the good stuff. On Friday I took advantage of the special price for Rise of Flight offered by PC aviator. My download link duly arrived and I kicked it off and was given an estimate of 20 hours(!) for the 3.9 GB file (I have a 12 Mb connection). I reckoned demand was probably pretty high as the sale was just ending, so I let the download continue overnight, only to find out next morning that it had been cancelled by the server. I kicked it off again, but it finished prematurely after less than 500 MB. And again.…

Just wanted to start a conversation about the world economy. Apart from Asia which is undergoing excellent growth in their economies, it seems elsewhere that signs are beginning to emerge of an economic slowdown we shouldn't be having. Does anyone realize that Europe slid back into recession in the last week?

I am keen to buy the best Spitfire but would appreciate other members views on the models currently available. I only know of A2A and RealAir offering quality payware versions and both seem highly praised. Any thoughts please before I leap in and invest?

Has anyone seen/heard anything about Alan Bradbury ("Chock")? It's been a while since I've last seen him around here, when going to his profile it says the last time he was online was in the end of July. I hope nothing has happened to him. Best regards, Flo
