Was on FR24 checking out some flights while I was flying from Glasgow to Lapland to see Santa and spotted the real Santa. Going to go finish watching National Lampoons Christmas vacation and watch Santa on the iPad. Check it out, he might be around all night!

I've actually seen people do this already, last July I was flying from Queenstown to Auckland and the guy sitting behind me was wearing all his clothing instead of checking baggage, he had on 4 pants and 8 shirts. This guy seems to have taken this practice to the extreme: http://www.nzherald....jectid=10855168

I am not sure if I am asking in the right forum. Scoot me to where-ever I need to be if not. I have watch a few videos trying to figure this out. What is shimmering? I am doing a fresh install of FSX and testing the default flight after each addon install (and restarting after each) . Also I have tweaked my config file some. *see below What I see (on an eyefinity 3 screen) now is the ground textures kind of ripple or maybe swimming. Not a lot but some. Hard to describe. Is this what shimmering is? Most Sliders maxed. And 30 fps Frame limit and holding fine. Config tweaks: [DISPLAY] UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=30 [DISPLAY] WideViewAspect=True …

I couldn't avoid posting this message because, after many years of flight simulation, I believe I finally found the total satisfaction out of two simulators, one that I had long had in my backups disk, and a new one, whoose first version I had bought in 2005 for the very same reasons I decided to try the newer version now... It's true that none of the sims gives me any sort of airline-type simulation, but that's really not what I am looking for these days. Also, for the very same reasons I ended up using only this two simulators, I believe I can pass any offer before Aerowinx PSX get's released - then I may rejoin the pleasures of flying a big airliner :-) ..The …

Heat is on Boeing for supposd lack of Quality Assurance, as evidenced by the 280 Boeing 777s that's were found to have been delivered with missing clamps and loose wiring, and now the 787s delivered with fuel line connectors not installed. A Qatar 787 was forced to make an emergency landing with a faulty generator. Quoting the Qatar chairman: “These problems are unacceptable because this aircraft has been flying for the last 14 months,” Al Baker said in an interview. “They have to get their act together very fast because we at Qatar Airways will not accept any more defects.” “Two aircraft having the same problem -- the same major problem -- so quickly is …

Hello fellow virtual/real aviators! I am slowwwly saving up enough money to at least start my private pilot license. I have had very little experience with flight schools, so for those who have had some experience in this regard, I wanted to ask you if there are particular points I should watch out for when selecting a flight school. Do all flight schools rank the same in credibility, safety, effectiveness, cost, etc.? Any way I can confirm the school with FAA to make sure it's "legit"? (Am I being paranoid?!) I am in Southern California, and I went up in a discovery flight/1 hr flight instruction at a local flight school in Van Nuys Airport. I was very pleased wi…

Anyone know if the Leonardo Maddog would ever go on sale? I've been looking at it for a while but won't pay nearly $70.00 U.S. for it. If they put it on sale they would sure sell a lot I think. Who has it and what's it worth? I'm thinking I want to pay about $40.00 for it since I have to start to reign in the year long FSX addons binge!!!

Hi all, I would like (if I can find someone) to borrow a German/fluent German speaker to transcribe the German in the below video. There are already English subtitles, but in the interests of slowly learning the German language, I'd like to see what they're actually saying in German. If someone would be willing to give up 30 minutes of their time, and write down (as close as possible) what is being said in German, that would be great. Send it to me in a PM or reply on here, either is fine. Cheers, Karl!

Hi, There's a documentary in the making about the history of a certain Douglas DC-3/C-47. Since there is no movie material available of the DC-3 in question the producers would like to try and seek digital help. They are wondering what Microsoft would say about using short FSX video clips to lively up the interviews with the people that worked on and flew with this particular DC-3. Does anybody here have a clue about the Microsoft stance towards using flight simulator video clips in a professional documentary and if it would be a good idea in the first place to ask for permission or stick to the proverbial 'don't wake up a sleeping dog' . On behalf of the pro…

Since switching from iOS to Android the one app I miss the most is infinite flight! I know that you have said in previous releases that you plan on porting IF to android but have set no timeline. Just curious if you could expand on that and let us android users know of any progress or commitment to a future android version of Intimate Flight! Thanks for making the best flight Sim for portable devices. Pk766 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
