Hi Some years ago I used to go to a site which showed where the jetstream was anywhere in the world. Sadly I am not able to find it any more. I was wondering if anyone knew of a site where I could look for such a map........ Yesterday I was climbing to 36000 feet and after reaching 30000 I started experiencing a lot of issues with my plane which disappeared after I dropped to below 30000. Looking at one of the weather maps for the local area I was flying I discovered the jetstream was predicted there and suspect this was the cause of my issues. Repeated flights had the same problem even though flying in other areas my plane was uneffected. I own Rex, A…

  4. Hello All I've recently flown in and out of Stansted a couple of times and have noticed that Ryanair appear to be stockpiling several (approx a dozen or more) of their 737s over at the private terminal to the north of the airport. I'm just wondering if anyone knows why they are doing this ? Regards Gary

Hello. I am new here, and I am looking into building a new PC for FSX. I was wondering if anyone could post screenshots of the PMDG 737 NGX (preferably in SWA colors), and list your specs. The reason I am asking this is because when I look around the forums, and you tube videos I cannot tell if the shots are edited, or not. So please no editing. Thank you so much in advance!

Not my picture. A less common view on how the planes are flying. Could need a bit of extra resolution but perhaps it makes a nice wallpaper then.

followed the link in the Xian Y-20 thread and saw this . . . . http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/the-dewline/2013/02/irans-new-qaher-313-stealth-fi.html Looks really state-of-the-art . . . . Only the finest fiberglass is used in its covering; And the most advanced avionics (looks like the chelton system?) that sporty's pilot shop has to offer.

Boeing 787: regulators admit bafflement over source of aircraft's fault Regulators say they still have no clear idea of what went wrong but Japanese officials rule out fault with battery manufacturer Boeing's hopes of a quick solution to its problems with the grounded 787 Dreamliner jet have been dashed by regulators in the US and Japan who have conceded that they still have no clear idea what went wrong with the world's most technologically advanced passenger plane. Regulators have been examining two incidents involving 787s earlier this month that led to a worldwide grounding of the new airliner. So far, investigators have concentrated on the plane's controvers…

Can anyone give some advise on programming Tpm switches. When I program a switch for say speed brakes, when I toggle the switch down it activates the speed brakes, but when I toggle back up, nothing happens. I have to toggle back down to retract. How can I program the switch so that toggling down activates speed brakes and toggling up retracts them? Thanks for your help.

I'm interested, what are you hearing except for those CFM, PW, the packs, the passengers screaming.. . I'm always running some music in the background, maybe explains my bad flying. So is that Top Gun soundtrack, the Star Wars saga theme or Lady Gaga really that helpful? I don't know. Currently, I have Sting and the Police. Classic! But there's also some Dubstep (which is very close to the above engines at times :He He: ), so don't expect a fixed music setup here. How's yours? PS. The rw pilots may also state what they are hearing when the autoland does the job. Except for the GPWS that means.

A great read over at The Seattle Times. http://seattletimes....dontgiveup.html It spins a bit around whether the engineers knew or not. But lets assume you, some engineer, knew about the fate that damage causes. Lets assume you could clearly say that there's no way the crew can enter the atmosphere and survive and there's no kind of repair possible within that time and, well, space. Would you tell them? I thought that an answer to this was easy. I was wrong. Video on the event. A very sad one in the history of space flight. And on the investigation.

Great job on this simulator. Thank you for your continued support and most importantly, keeping a open ear to the community. I urge you guys to stay the current course. This could very well be "The one" us flight simmers are looking for on a mobile device. Avsim is my main flight-sim community portal, I do not use Facebook and as such, have not seen the ideas of other users so I apologies ahead of time if these ideas are repeats. As much as I would love to have "Fsx-in-a-box", it's just not possible with the hardware limitations of mobile devices, this does not mean we can't get it as close as possible to actual flight simulation though. my "Simple" ideas: ( I…

  24. Hi, Like all of you here, I'm an aviation fanatic, I especially love private jets! I own an extensive collection of cockpit DVD's, but there doesn't seem to be much out there on private jets. So I am considering making private jet DVD's, and I'd like to know If people would be in such a product ? What do you guys think ?

  25. Hey guys. Don't know how many of you will remember, but I created this topic a while ago: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/376786-suggestions-of-landing-simulation-practice-for-real-flying/ I was having issues to land the plane and consequently do my Solo flight. Well, months after that I can finally say that today I got my Private Pilot License. It wasn't easy, it spent the entire december waiting for the weather to allow me to do my 3 hour night flight time now required for the PPL, since it was crazy hot during the day, and formations of TCU and CBs during the night. Then it took me four tries to finally get to do the checkride flight, due to various reasons. …
