She said in a TV interview she felt confident of her ability and said on her website that lots of practice makes her signature stunt a "managed risk." She planned to hang underneath the plane's wing by her feet and sit on the bottom of the airplane while it was upside-down. It wasn't clear Saturday what went so wrong. The biplane glided through t…

Now it's Oil. One flight diverted due to low oil level indicator, and another for bad oil filter. Both appear to be United flights http://www.click2houston.com/news/united-airlines-dreamliner-flight-from-london-to-houston-diverted-to-new-jersey/-/1735978/20651514/-/12tggxpz/-/index.html

Hi folks, this is all over the news in the U.S., apparently on June 13th there was a near miss between a Delta 747 and a Shuttle American Emb170 near JFK. http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/21/travel/nyc-jfk-airliners-too-close/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 First thing I did was go to Passur.com to pull up a replay of traffic at about 14:37 EDT. http://www4.passur.com/jfk.html Strange thing, but the path of the Delta 747 becomes frozen at some point over the Atlantic when it's on downwind to runway 4R. Not sure if is a data error, or intentional deletion of the the record of the flight data, but you do see the Emb170 take off from KLGA. Also, check out the flightaware reco…

Microsoft have decided to change the policies of the Xbox One http://uk.gamespot.com/news/microsoft-changing-xbox-one-policies-6410472 I am quite surprised by Microsoft's decision with this, its unusual to see them change something so dramatically. Maybe they have crossed the border and are now looking towards interacting with their customers likes & dislikes and building a stronger bond with them. This change in policies still wont change my mind about buying an Xbox One. I hate the services Microsoft provide, not a fan of Microsoft. I will stick with my Pre-Order of the most anticipated console release of this year, the PS4.

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/shop.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop〈=en The June newsletter from Eagle Dynamics has arrived in users’ inboxes, including details of new and upcoming products, patches and an up to 60% off sale, running until 30th June. There’s a huge planned list of updates for the upcoming DCS World version 1.2.5, plus news of a new Backfire M3, Reaper UAV, as well the follow on to Belsimtek’s UH-1H Huey, in the guise of a Mil Mi-17 transport helicopter. Of primary interest to many people, though, will be that sale, with the open beta of the Huey down to $19.99, most other products down to $14.99 or less. The one thing that isn’t included in the 6…

Here's a recent video of the only flying Mosquito in the world. Very nice for a plywood airplane. Those big Merlins sound great! http://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/exclusivevids/ExclusiveVideo_MusicOfTheMerlins_deHavillandMosquito_208877-1.html

  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMbwIARkZec Well that's just amazing, landing at high speed, with flaps 15, floating down half the runway. It's criminal... Though the passenger's reaction at the end is rather curious... Regards, Ró.

  17. As this isn't related directly to any version of flight sim I hope this is the best place to discuss it. Navigraph are offering a 12-month subscription to all their airport charts (not including FMS data) for an annual subscription of 59.90 Euros with a 10 Euro discount for existing customers if they buy before 23 June. If I were to buy the 1916 airport charts I don't currently have it would cost 585.60 Euros so on the face of it it looks to be a very good deal. But having read the small print there is one rule which makes it less attractive. While subscribed, you cannot select multiple airports for download within Navigraph Charts. You will have to click …

Hi everybody! I just started my vacation and of course got right back into simming. I got this new galaxy 10 tablet and was wondering if there are any really great apps for it that you would recommend?

  19. I essentially taught myself how to fly in FSX. Which basically meant it was a year or so before I found out how to do a proper ILS landing, or a landing that wouldn't crash my aircraft. I was wondering if any of you were in the same boat as me when you first started, not knowing anything at all, and despite the constant frustrations, you kept at it till you got it?

I like to go back and reminisce about the old days from time to time. So, I went searching for my oldest repaint that was ever published. Turns out, the first one is this file spiritd.zip, for FS5 located at the "other" flightsim website. My dad posted it for me and had this to say: The Boeing 767-200 powered by 2 GE CF6-80A Turbofan engines. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ The original plane was created by Robert Morrow with technical support from James P. I am very fond of live air traffic maps, especially for learning how arrivals and departures are handled by ATC and using that info in the sim. I found a neat little site, used mainly for folks living near KLAX to monitor noise levels in their neighborhood, that I find especially useful for planning my operations at KLAX in FSX. Have a look: http://webtrak.bksv.com/lax
