Have you been victimized by FSX Genius? Have you lost money to him? If so, New Scotland Yard National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB) would like to hear from you. For more information on how to file a report go to: http://content.met.police.uk/Site/reportingfraud or to file a report: http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud

  5. Thanks to a question that was asked in another thread I found since 7/03 I've logged allot of flight time in FS9. After every airline flight since I started using the sim I've logged my time and sometimes I've done the same with GA flights. I decided to go back pre FS9 to FS2k2 (the sim where it really started to matter meaning flight simulation really came into it's own) and look at my log book records to see exactly what I logged (understanding the fact I was more diligent in logging during my FS9 years). I was surprised at what I found. Since 11/1/2001 rounded up: FS2k2 - 1,500hrs FS9 - 4,100hrs P3D v2 - 60hrs Total since 2001 = 5,660 hrs …

Wow, it's been along time. Many ups and downs but when I saw this combination I had to take note. I know after all this time I'll never see 'Member of the Month' but it's been a great ride just the same. :Cuppa:

Hello guys, first: Yes, this is an advertisiment. But, I think, it's a good one. I made a little website with wordpress in the past two weeks. At this site, everything is/will be about flightsimming. I will try to show the best FSX videos there, and I will also try to collect flightsimulation news to show them on my website for you. So something like a newspaper, but I don't think I will update it daily, more like every two days. In the first week of creating, I just wanted to play around with wordpress, but then I thought, hey, why not show fsnews there? So I will do and here is it, JustFSX: http://www.justfsx.wordpress.com/ I hope you like my work and stay tuned …

  8. Hi all, We were chatting in a thread about the next FlightBeam airport and someone mentioned that they thought that the majority of simmers were airline types. Might be true but, does anyone have any idea what the percentages are? I fly about 98% of my time GA myself and have greatly enjoyed the few mixed-use airports that have been made by Orbx. Seems to me that a great many of the higher-quality commercial airports being made are pretty GA restricted. According to Flight Aware, LAX, SFO, JFK, IAD, CYYJ, TPA, MDW, PHX, ONT seem like they have almost no GA. Maybe GA pilots don't generally buy airports? (I own KIAD, KPHX, CYYJ, KTPA). Maybe Flight Aware doesn't…

I hope this post doesn't break any forum rules, I hope not as I am really trying to drum up some support from my brother's Kickstarter campaign. He's off on his Great American Coastline project, which he's been talking about for years! He'll be travelling with his wife Jan and photographing the beautiful Pacific coastline, starting in June and travelling along the Pacific coastline, up to the Canadian border for four months. Check out his Kickstarter campaign here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1170695944/the-great-american-coastline

I am not a fan of Froogle, neither I am trying to promote his channel, but this is a really important message and I thought its best to inform everyone if it hasn't been brought into your attention! Apparently a guy called "FSX Genius" taking huge amount of money from vulnerable people offering them a brand new PC especially catered for running FSX with lots of Payware and 1 year teach support. Weeks went by….months went by but nothing showed up in post and now this guy has apparently 'disappeared' with all the money. SO BEWARE WHO YOU TRUST & WHO YOU DONT. Check out this video:

This is just something that struck me, and I knot it's a highly theoretical question. However, I thought someone might find it interesting too. So, the Douglas Dc-7 must be considered the "ultimate" propliner (sorry Connie guys...), able to cruise at 330+ knots and fly up to 4900 nm (the C-model). Now, what if we built a new, modern Dc-7 incorporating modern materials and techniques? Improved airframe for reduced drag, add winglets Reduce weights by using modern materials Modern propellers A modernised engine design, still using piston engines but again incorporating modern ideas and materials. Computer control to maximise the effectivity of engines and other syst…

Well the premier league is finished and Man City are champions with the Reds coming second. Seventh to second is good progress and I think next year we'll see more of the same, hopefully with some better defending (can't help but think Carragher would've been a good leader at the back this year) Looking forward to summer signings and Chelsea not stealing them. De Sciglio a you'd fullback at Milan I'd like to see, I hope Lallana comes to fruition and a new central midfielder is needed. Obviously a defender. I don't know who though. I feel Sakho will be good when he learns the language, Shawcross will be cheap I think but Rodgers probably likes ball playing center back…

  19. I've never posted before after 6 years of lurking but after an experience with pcaviator last week I felt I should share my experience so hopefully others won't fall trap. Basically I purchased a product (instant download) from their website, it took 72 hours and 4 e-mails to eventually get the licence key for a so called "instant download" product. They proceeded to send me a license key which didn't work and despite another 10 e-mails over the course of 9 days they have ignored me completely. I run many businesses myself, dry cleaning , beauty parlous, nails bars etc. but never selling digital products so I have no experience in this area, what I can tell you though, is…

Just thought I'd get a take on what people think are the most accurate representations VC wise of aircraft they simulate. The tops on my list are: PMDG's 744 Ifly's 737 All Carenado Aircraft PMDG's 777 Many would say PMDG's 737 but those windows are way too large in a inaccurate way as DreamFleet's 727 was to Captainsim's work. Captainsim did a great job with their 757/767 but the main panel looked odd compared to the accurate way Quality Wings did theirs (but Quality Wings side windows are wrong as the actual cockpit is more rounded along the side windows like Captainsim's version depicts. Just wondering what others favorites are...

From someone who started sim flying with Microsoft Flight Simulator 1: While I think your graphics are perhaps as good as any (regardless of platform) and I love the commercial jets, flying heavy jets in IF is pointless. Heavy jets fly long routes, not short hops. Given the limitation of the platform, maybe travel between purchased, detailed, scenery could be accomplished using a generic terrain design that does not intrude on the memory limitations of the platform so hard. I have a 128G IPad Air, so this isn't a problem except for long downloads, but large realistic "flyover country" might be a problem for others. If that is unfeasible, maybe more emphasis is needed …
