THIS is road racing for anyone unfamiliar. Specifically the IOMTT onboard with Michael Dunlop. A single 200 mph 17 minute lap of heart stopping and mind blowing control through villages over mountains with inches to spare...

Hi, I was just wondering how real pilots find out if for example, turbine or jet aircraft are allowed to land at certain smaller airports that they may be unfamiliar with. I live near KWBW airport in Pennsylvania and have never seen a small jet land there. Plenty of light twins and singles, but no jets. I was just following a Citation on flightaware that left our larger local airport KAVP and it went to Dennis Cantrel field in Conway AR. Here is a smaller field that apparently does accept jet aircraft. Do pilots have a way of learning this during flight planning and if so what is the source? Thanks. Tom

I just received this email from the Auckland Aero Club to my flying club. The prices don't look too bad if the cost per pilot for 15 hours is closer to 180USD and not 370USD. For those of you in the vicinity, this sounds like a good opportunity to fly around NZ! http://aac.org.nz/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/AAC_Poster_final.pdf

I have been in far too many meetings like this ... and sadly, the fastest way out of these meetings is to say "I'm an expert, I can do anything". Cheers, Rob.

Hi, I have been attempting to contact RealAir support via email for the past few days. I had been trying to reinstall my B60 v1 but got a 'too many re-installs' message. None of the links for support work on their website. Does anyone know the incantation one needs to chant to get a response from RealAir or know any other way to contact them? Jon

http://news.yahoo.com/russia-could-achieve-ukraine-incursion-3-5-days-102043247--sector.html. Any thoughts? With MH370 SAR going on a lot of us probaly have forgotten about the other craziness going on in the world. This incursion is really bugging me because, Putin can keep taking and nobody can really do anything about it with military action, without starting WWWIII, and he knows it. I'm of the mind "some people want to see the world burn", and Putin is at the top of the list along with short round of N. Korea.

Greetings! On my previous system I had a freeware tool (I think) that summarized all my flight activity: number of take-offs, number of landings, crashes, and if I remember correctly, was sortable by aircraft, airport, etc. For the life of me, I cannot remember what it was! I did searches on the Forums for "flight log report", "takeoff landing log", etc, but nothing popped up that was obvious. The Google is also not being very helpful. Does anybody else use this tool? Is it something in FSX that I left behind? (I fly P3D V1.4 now). I thought it may be Aircrafter, but that does not display log entries. Thanks for hitting the reset button! John

Hi, I only got the german title of this docu series on National Geo. So, so often I see videos of the wrong cockpit or even the wrong typ of aircraft. Like what I see right now: A B737-800 crashes while approaching Amsterdam Schipol, 25. Feb 2009 They show a Cockpit of a MD11 or alike with 3 pilots messing around. WHY??? Do they think all who are watching do not know all about aviation? Why do they not make a desent docu, showing the correct details???

We are pleased to announce the reopening of the AVSIM Social Groups. The Social Groups are like clubs for members with specific interests that they would like to share. This is very similar to the Groups on FaceBook, only with significantly more functionality and features for the owners and moderators of the groups. Some examples of groups are aircraft enthusiasts interested in a specific aircraft; a DC-3 as an example. A group which forms a club of flight sim enthusiasts who live in San Diego, or London, as examples. A club for flight sim tweekers and tinkerers. The Groups provide focus to interests that would not normally be found in a public forum. Now you can form a g…

Hello, girls and guys! A few years ago I was flying a flight from Tampere to London Heathrow with a Ryanair Boeing 737-800. After the usual strange policies with Ryanair, and the crews inability to really check what tickets the passenger is holding, my friends ended up boarding the wrong plane to Riga and I ended up in London alone! (Bet they were shocked when their plane closed doors and announced it was heading to Riga). But my question was, I was sitting as a passenger close to the aisle. A few people were drunk, as always, and unfortunately, a lot of children were aboard. But when we were in take off, our plane began to gain speed, but at rotation, we lifted o…

Great sim guys...first rate! But wondering if you guys have a Nav button on your "to-do" list? It would be great if after I create a flight plan, the A/C would just follow it, rather than me having to manually changing course headings to match the flight plan headings. Again..great sim!
