You know, one of those 'what do you want to do before you die' lists .... I was thinking about some of the join dates on AVSIM and wondered if these old timers had seen it all and done it all. Having started with FSX only in November 2014, I am a relative newbie! I'm enjoying what I'm doing and wanted to see it through before I move onto other areas of flight sim, so I prepared a bucket list of things I want to do with FSX before I die/quit/PC blows up. Helicopters - it will be like starting all over again, I'll ditch the yoke and buy a dedicated joystick. RAF missions - I have some lovely aircraft, the Hercules, Nimrod, Shackleton etc. i'll invent missions and fly!…

Pretty impressive looking but I highly doubt the finished building will look the same as mockup drawings. http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-09-05/mexico-gets-ready-for-a-sustainable-9-billion-mega-airport

Have you ever went to the last page just to look? This is what I found from 2002. Member - 3,000+ Commercial Member 3,447 posts Joined 12 Years, 6 Months and 1 Day Posted 10 May 2002 - 12:24 AM Captains-I have completed building the release version of the 757, and would normally expect to move ahead with the release tonight (thursday) or tomorrow (friday.)There MAY be a minor snag, however....As I have previously mentioned, we have been waiting on a minor code fix from TRI...The fix is to correct a small problem in the way FLY!II displays day/night models. Currently, this bug causes FLY!II to lose track of the position of the landing gear visual model- which ca…

Al Jazeera has produced a very critical documentation about the Boeing 787 and it's safety standards: http://www.aljazeera.com/investigations/boeing787/default.html Of course Boeing sees it slightly different: http://boeing.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=20295&item=129201

Here we go again. AirGlobalX claims: There are no refunds and sounds suspiciously like our previously reported scam. AVSIM suggest that you avoid this "product" like it were Ebola.

Hello all! I decided to check a few videos on the operation of 777s, 787s, A330s and it all looked so simple. Just push a few buttons, lift off, autopilot, do nothing except checks and then land (once again on autopilot) and checklists are so stripped they only have a few items. It seems that the main basis, press a few buttons, program, follow the magenta line and go. Is this what kids of the magenta line is? I've flown 767s before in my FS9 days and it was simple, easy but also complex. However not as automated as the 777 which get's things boring. After having flown Tu134s, Tu-154s, An24s and 707s I can't but think operating these automated jets is e…

So much for generosity and goodwill to help out 3PDs I hate complaining. Hate it. Always try to look for the good. But I have to get this out there again. Black Box Simulation continues to beat around the bush in making some sort of progress on the Airbus A330. This stupid "Prologue" thing is a real coverup for fake. Its a beta product no matter how you look at it. Now I wanted to fly an Airbus heavy, and their "Prologue" product currently sitting at version .60 out of possible 1.00 for a complete product. Its just that. A 60% complete product. Looks nice. and yes its flys and the landing gear works, but the FDE is horrible, and VNAV or managed descent for proper …

.....I'm just lining up for my first take-off of the day within P3D v2.3 As I lined up, sipping my coffee, I pondered...."What if this was 1998, and I was lining up for my roll....using v2.3, .....I wonder what our hobby would look like, at say, September 5th, 2014?!?" Would we be now, sitting in a chair, with a head-set on....and AFFORDABLE to the average flight simulation enthusiast....and have our very own and SAFE.... Cerebral Direct, stimulation of our visual, aural, tactile, etc centers of our brain....a la' Arnold Schwarzenegger? I wonder.....this is what that first jolt of my morning 'cuppa' does.... Ok...got clearance, and am ready to roll, i…

Good heavens! Another apparent case of hypoxia has brought one more aircraft down! Larry Glazer, a very well-known and highly respected real estate developer from Rochester, New York and his wife took off from Rochester earlier this morning enroute to spend the weekend in Naples, Florida. http://globalnews.ca/news/1546434/norad-fighter-jets-escorting-small-aircraft-over-atlantic/

Yep, I love this type of stuff, seeing how far our real life tech can approach science fiction. There are so many amazing, barely believable things happening out there that its impossible to keep track of it all. Sometimes it strikes me that we live in an age of magic, and scarcely even realize it. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leicestershire-29067115 http://youtu.be/KSwMauCno6o

A recent marketing campaign by Malaysia Airlines in Australia and New Zealand was asking customers what they would like to do before they die as a bucket list challenge. The campaign has now been removed due to its controversy: http://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/travel-troubles/61032441/Malaysia-Airlines-mocked-for-bucket-list-challenge Not a good campaign for an airline in recovery mode.

According to American Cancer Society, Aircraft crew more likely to develop melanomas, so flight simming is somehow a way to prevent these serious health issues but for these pros it"s really a bad news. Source: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/281982.php
