Hello there, Does anyone know where Flybe Virtual has disappeared to? It was a new VA and I was on the directing team in a training capacity. It was growing really well and I had spent a lot of time making training documents and now the website has disappeared! Can't get on at all! Anyone out there flown for the VA? Anyone shed any light? Most peculiar. John

I purchased the Legacy from Real Air a few days ago. Now I fly all of the PMDG products but since I have my ppl I am somewhat partial to GA Aircraft and have a few in the hangar. I have Carenado, Iris, Just Flight, I do not have any Accu Sim. No disrespect to any of these developers but the Legacy IMO is head and shoulders above all else I have. The sounds and cockpit realism is amazing. The feel on landing is awesome. Just wanted to say. I tried to post a screenshot but the "Attach File" is gone?

How cool is this! What a very lucky man is Steve Lagergren! :Money Eyes: Watch the video taken when AOPA President Mark Baker and Editor at Large Tom Horne were at the controls of the Debonair. When Lagergren recognized the Bahama-blue Debonair flying nearby, Baker informed him via the aircraft radio that he was the lucky winner of the newly restored four-seat airplane. Full article here: http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2014/October/05/Debonair-winner-announced

Every night going to bed i put my headphones in and listen to LiveATC on my ipad. Its a great way to fall asleep ^_^ When i listen to feeds from US airports like JFK or BOS i often hear aircraft told to follow "the company 737" or "767" and so on. What is ment by the term "company"? If i am a JetBlue pilot and told to follow " the company a320 ahead " am i just looking out for a JetBlue a320 on the same taxi way?

Forum members ... I, like many of you I suspect, have spent considerable sums of money on our hobby/pastime/indulgence. Many, many times the original cost of the sim. We have done this for pleasure, of course, and sometimes we have taken advantage of so-called sales. The unpalatable truth is ... we are being fleeced. Yes secretly we realise it, we find justification for it, we may choose to ignore it but, we are still being fleeced. Yesterday I bought the Mass Effect Trilogy from Origin. Cost me $A15. Three titles, including extentions, probably over 70 hours of entertainment at one of three levels. I also purchased Crysis 3 for $A10. An entire DX11 state-of-t…

Does anyone watch this show? It's defiantly rekindled my love for flying FSX, I use to be the typical simmer fly a heavy stick on AP and let it cruise to my destination but after getting into series 1 now series 2 I'm compelled to get back to basics and fly these props sometimes business jets across long routes back to reality clock up some time using steam gauges and yoke time flying my props and fine tuning the engine while enroute trying to get the best fuel and performance from them but I'm looking to do this with someone as flying these long routes sometimes of the beaten track there's no much traffic to admire lol.

I read awhile back, a thread that a user noted his better all-round FPS performance since he recently had the maids go in and swamp up... Now, I don't know if what I am about to share has any basis, but wanted to tell you anyways... -------------------------------------------------- About 2 days ago, I went into my case, and did a complete MAJOR cleaning of my published system. I didn't add or take away any elements from it. I purchased from my walk-in local Radio Shack the following in a 3-pack set--- Ativa Cleaning Duster-Item 911-220 (Spray Cans with supplied tip) I used two cans on the interior of my system, then carefully dusted and vacuumed with a mi…

Saw this on airdaily at first. Looks like it builds its scenery straight from Google Earth. Good looking haze effects, 'beta'-looking clouds, photo scenery all along.. Not a single a/c model shown though (just some AI).. Wondering how this one will turn out? Not sure if this will ever reach our home desktops.. Anyone with some knowledge on the new engine? http://www.diamondvisionics.com/

My first ever flightsim show, and I loved every minute of it! I arrived a bit earlier than expected, and I was at the entrance to Hangar 1 by 9:30 AM. There was another person in the foyer between the two sets of automatic doors, and very soon we were deep in conversation about various aspect of flight simulation. Several others arrived at the entrance soon after that, and I started talking to one of these new guys aswell. It was really interesting to hear what other flightsim enthusiasts had to say about the subject, and this was in fact one of the highlights of the show for me. Nobody in my family or circle of friends is involved with flight simulation, so I have never…

At the moment I am doing my A2 part of my computing A-level and a large part of my marks come from a program we develop. So my program is basically a private pilot dispatching program for my local flying club. It only covers the UK. I've run into some snags though, as I'm still learning a lot while I work at the project and one of my problems is that I can't seem to develop a system for generating a route, from waypoints. I was wondering if anyone could help me or put me in contact with someone who could assist me? Edit: I'm writing it in C#

http://www.vanityfair.com/business/2014/10/air-france-flight-447-crash Titled "The Human Factor," this is a long article about the crash of Air France 447. It discusses what happened in the cockpit, along with the history of Cockpit Resource Management. I thought it might stimulate some discussion. I apologize if the article has already been posted somewhere in the forum.

Hi there! I was looking for the famous Freeware Flight Group Learjet 35 models, but it's way to hard to find any downloadable version. I guess since the big library crash here on avsim, the models are lost. I recently found a short review there the file names are on, so my hope is if anyone here has a copy of that nice models and has the will to upload these here again. http://www.avsim.com/pages/0702/bear_7-1-02/bearracing.htm Best regards!
