Hi guys, anyone knows a good Logbook Android app similar to PilotPro? (seems that MAC is more friendly for aviation software) Cheers.

Stage 1: "hmmmm maybe I can try flight simulation, looks interesting!" After buying FSX Gold, and few hours in default C172 controlled with keyboard, he founds that main strength of FSX is an endless possibilities, the whole world is in your hand. No use of flaps, GPS, mouse as yoke, not to mention flight plans, VORs... ... Stage 2: "C172 is boring, let me see all other planes in FSX." Flew Maule, Cub, Baron... but all planes seems boring because he doesn't know for navigation, ATC, procedures, approaches, plates. "Wow, Boeing 737, 747, Airbus!!! Must try them!" He took B737, placed it on a runway, hit F4 and pulled up at 180kts IAS, just to realist at 5000ft AGL that…

  6. The latest editions of Wings over Flanders Fields...... vs. ......Rise of Flight. My question is in general, which one of these two World War I combat sims is easier to run without stutters on a system that runs FSX at 15 to 25 FPS (FSX runing stock scenery files with most FSX graphics enhancements turned on, but not using 3rd party airports and such). Thank you.

I think as aviation lovers we all know and enjoy the intense roar sound of an climbing jet engine. Today I watched this vid: https://youtu.be/bdj2lQ6-P_8 and I asked myself the first time "you know much about these technichal art pieces, but you dont know exactly where the music comes from" My theorie is that it comes from the N1 blades at high rpm... What do you know about it? Let me know it! Regards

Read today that DTG can no longer sell BNSF content outside of USA. This includes any railroads that were acquired by BNSF, Any routes that have BNSF running rights are included. This leaves most users outside of the US in an awkward position if one uses workshop scenarios, as some content from banned routes and loco's are required, depending on what the author has included. Looking at the list of content that I can now purchase there is not much left that appeals. I prefer US content over Euro. One hopes that they don't have the same issues with FSX.

Hello; I have read a lot of great reviews about SunSkyJet PHL freeware add-on, so I decided to give it a try. I have had the scenery for some time now, but my only problem is its performance. For some reason its very laggy on my system. I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the texture size i.e. back to 1024, as from what I have understood the texture are in HD already? Anyone else here experienced anything similar with SunSkyJet? Any known solutions? I am running this scenery with FTX Global. Maybe they don't like ach other? Many thanks,

Just something I bumped into that was interesting. Imagine if it was this easy to place cities in your favorite sim. Well, you kind of can. There is already a flight mod for this game. (Flight fans are incorrigible.) And (SOB!!) why can modern games create these huge detailed cities that run like greased lightning while one detailed airport can bring our sims to their knees? Time to visit the nextgensim website?

HI guys, I just got the "old" CLS MD 81/82 and what a nice plane to fly. I really love it and although it's old, they still flown around the world extensively. It has beautiful grafics and most systems do work quite well. I highly recommend it if you looking for a different experience. I usually fly PMDG , AS and QW products and this one is not far behind. For those who don't know this plane you'll not be sorry to buy it. I just got one issue thou and that is when you coming in for landing you have to go slower than the landing speeds given on the fms or the nose will point slightly down. I tried to set the nose tilt a bit up but it runs back to the same spot.…

I seem to be having a problem with Nvidia Inspector. In short, it is not allowing me to save any changes. I can change options, but when I apply the changes, leave, and then come back....those changes have not been saved. Has anyone else experienced this? I have never had a problem like this in the past with Nvidia Inspector, so I am baffled as to why it is doing it....

Twenty eight years ago this evening Northwest flight 255 crashed on takeoff from KDTW. 156 people lost their lives in that crash. Being on one of the teams working that site was without doubt the most difficult thing I have done in my working life. May God bless the memory of those lost, and continued strength to their families.

As Mr Ice Cube once (sort of) sang, Today Was A Good Day. Well today was yesterday, and this is what I did yesterday The mornings entertainment; a flight in this over Cambridge, Ely and Newmarket: A panoramic from my seat at the back (the observant may note the bell with the gopro strapped to his head  ): Cloud base was about 2000ft and a bit scattered but we stayed well under that and there was plenty of bits of blue sky. Overall a very comfy flight (decent leg room and a proper arm chair to sit on) if a little noisy, especially being by the door. Throughout the day there were Spitfires in the air most of the time - quite o…
