Both engine fan cowl doors detached during takeoff. This led to damage the airframe and a number of aircraft systems. The flight crew elected to return to Heathrow , leaking fuel from a damaged fuel pipe on the right engine which ignited and an external fire developed. The fan cowl doors detached from the aircraft during takeoff because they remained unlatched following overnight maintenance and the unlatched condition of the fan cowls was not detected prior to the flight. The technicians servicing the aircraft decided to defer a task later in their shift, but left the aircraft with the cowls closed but not latched. When they later returned to complete the task, they…

This is the plane in question: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?88011-Tu-144-prototype I've searched far and wide to see if this plane was ever released. I want to see if anyone can help search, and if it is out there, bring more attention to it and make it more available to download.

Just things I look up as I try to figure out how things work. Seeing all the interest in Dovetail (and its upcoming sim, of course) this was especially interesting to me in understanding the company a little better.

I came across one or two Flight Unlimited 3 videos on YouTube today, and it has persuaded me to post this message here at AVSIM...... I really miss the days when I used FU3 (and the FU2 San Francisco scenery) exclusively. It was much more atmospheric and enjoyable than the versions of MSFS that were available at the time, even though the high resolution scenery regions were only a fraction of the size of the entire globe offered by Microsoft. Nevertheless, it simulated certain things really well, and there are a handful of items that have still not been surpassed! I am thinking here of the wonderful floatplane physics as my plane bobbed up and down in the water, with …

I've seen this parked inside the Associated Air hangar at Love Field for some time now and was trying to figure out what airline/owner it belongs to, as well as what make/model of plane it is. The registration number is masked as well as some other part of the tail logo. Speaking of the one with the red, white, and green tail.

Good morning Does Infinite Flight follow a flight plan automaticly or not? Tried several times flying with a flight plan, but the aircraft didn't follow it automaticly. I had to set indicated HDG 1 minute before manually before reaching waypoints. Thanks for your answer. Best regards Marcel

I have been noticing at FlightAware that, for transatlantic flights, such as Air Canada 872, the route is showing the North Atlantic Track as NATT, for example, instead of the individual waypoints. Is this how it is shown on the official route documents used by the flight crew? If so, how could that be used, given the variability of the track waypoint co-ordinates from day to day?
