Both pretty and tricky. I certainly don't know my planes well enough to figure out what model plane this is.

Thought this might get a bit of interest... The Background Back in the olden days (2001), I was flying Shorts 330's/360's for a freight company operating out of Luton UK (EGGW) - for our younger viewers, they looked this: The actual 330 used for the flight. Affectionately known as the "Flying Shed" - for obvious reasons.. One of the companies 360's. Not many around theses days. From time to time we'd do a “Chick run”, transporting thousands of new born chicks around Europe. For the first 24hrs the chicks are living off the remains of the egg sac so are fairly low maintenance, but are very sensitive to temperature – s…

A few years ago, 7 highly accurate clones of the Me-262 were built; they were blue printed from a total restoration of a real one for a museum. Could one of them be legally flown with the original markings in the US, with I assume an FAA tail number? I've seen aircraft with original marking flying at airshows, but thought that might be differently classed than a private aircraft.

... when adding Payware Airport Sceneries? 'Evening Gentlemen .... A tad late to the party granted - but - I have finally discovered the delights of Payware Airports. Way back in the heady days of FSX I seem to recall having to disable some .bgl's in order to successfully run UK2000 Manchester. Do the same principles still apply or can I assume that if I give said Airports a higher priority in the Scenery Order then all wil be well? I am not sure if this is pertinent to the question but I have (FTX) Global, Vector, Europe and all 4 UK (plus Ireland) regions and also use MT6? I do understand that this topic has probably been discussed ad nauseum in the past but…

Does anyone have Dry Operating Weights for the British Airways A319, A320 (preferably G-EUU*, with or without sharklets) and A321 (G-EUX*) fleet? Surely someone from BAV has access to them?

The other day I purchased Halifax from sim add-ons. If anyone has bought anything from them you can see that Halifax has a big flickering problem on the apron and when I mean bad it's very bad. I proceeded to send the owner an email asking him what this problem could be and why it can't be fixed according to his posting in his forum room for SIMM add-ons. The email I sent was short and was not bad at all I did not cuss but I did state my frustration to him about this flickering issue. The response I got back from him was I have posted a refund to you. I did not request a refund just wanted to get the issue fixed and tells me there is a fix in the forum Really? basically,…

Hello I'm thinking about creating a Virtual airline for medical transports, med-e vac, air rescues, and more. If you think you might be interested let me know in the comments. I'm mainly asking for help to start this Virtual airline if anyone would like to help me build it from the ground up. The aircraft i plan to have in it will be a mixture of fixed wing and helo. Anyone interested or anyone the has any ideas and would like to help create please message me and we can find a way to make this a real thing.

Some of you may know I have a soft spot for the Handley Page Victor. Anyway this superbly menacing 50s V-bomber had a wonderful crescent-shaped wing. A few months back I watched this video of a film by Handley Page extolling the virtues of such a wing planform: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IpVR6Cke-I So how come the "simple, unassailable aerodynamical logic" leading to the use of the crescent wing became obsolete or surpassed by straight swept wings? Obviously we are talking high subsonic speed aircraft here i.e. airliners, not mach 2 fighters. Discuss.

Just wondered if anyone knows a fairly easy way of attaching a family snapshot somewhere on the FSX aircraft panel or the side of a door. I have the .bmp but not the blu-tack, plasti-tak etc  John

Hi all, I purchased an Orbx region from FSS this evening, and trying all 3 of FSS's servers I am getting quoted with DL times of 1-2 days. The file is 3.1GB but still, I am using a Fibre Optic High Speed Connection and would normally have that downloaded within 20 minutes. I'm been reseting and trying all evening and still getting this horrendously slow download performance from FSS. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this today. I've emailed FSS but historically, don't tend to get a very fast response when emailing them, hence asking about it to a wider audience here. Thanks.

Greetings virtual pilots, Welcome to the options and tweaking thread! As part of our continued effort to understand the needs of the flight simulation community we are back again with another discussion thread. This week, we want to take a deeper look at how you set up FSX, what tweaks you apply, and what elements that you would like to have control over. We know that modifying and tweaking your simulator is a key part of the hobby for some simmers. Everyone has their own personal preferences and customises their experience accordingly. For some of you, it is all about maximising your framerate. Some of you seek to improve the overall performance of your simulator…

I haven't been following sim news for the past few months but I'm really getting tired of dealing with FSX, but I'm not sure which route I want to go with. Most comparison videos and articles are many months if not years old, and I'd like to know how the most recent versions of P3D and X-Plane compare against each other. Since this topic includes both P3D and XP, I didn't know where to place this thread, but please move this to a more appropriate setting if need be (talking to mods). I see that both have come a very long way since FSX. The cockpit shadows add for a much more immerse experience and it seems both have much better FPS and stability over FSX. I know XP is…
