I like simulating a small aviation charter company. I try to generate realistic flights. If I'm serving a particular area would flights really be random? I could get a call for a pickup from x and drop off at y? I'd appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks

At the 4:32 mark you'll see an aircraft that should not be in North Korea at all... ...as it is a PAC P-750 XSTOL* built in New Zealand and it is forbidden to export it to North Korea. * See:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAC_P-750_XSTOL

Hi. I missed out on replying to your post asking for options and features I'd like to see in a new sim. As the thread is now closed I'd like to take the opportunity to add my list of requests: 1. Better graphics engine - 64-bit, better memory management, DX11 or DX12 2. Improved ATC - automatically assign SIDs and STARs where available, improve vector approaches by fixing bug where ATC gives multiple course headings causing one to turn back and forth unnecessarily and fixing the issue where ATC makes you fly 30+ miles from the airport before vectoring you to final approach, have ATC more realistically give altitude commands instead of the current model where they do…

Just a quick one. Tomorrow I begin the Haswell Build. I wanted to just post this for the AMD aficionados. I've flown many thousands of miles with this chip - we have had countless adventures around the World and flown every aircraft from the humble default Cessna 172 right up to the PMDG 737 NGX. VFR, IFR...you name it...we've done it; this old Chip and I. It's just a thank you to it before I confine it to the "Box Of Computer Bits" in the garage. It taught me how to fly VOR Nav, ILS, NDB. Realism settings set to Full it taught me a little about how aircraft are affected by wind, Flying real World Weather, etc. In short, we took on FSX together - …

...weird odd behaviour in forum and emails from AVSIM? Referring to my recent posts here, I have been posting in the "P3D 3.4 Experience Thread" and a post appeared here (in "Core and AM info in 3.4") somehow at #28, which accounts for the slight oddness of that post. What's more - mails I've been getting from here since are entitled "P3D 3.4 Experience Thread" and all lead me to that thread (in "P3D 3.4 Experience Thread") but content is from this thread. For example from my mailbox, AVSIM email Dans post #34 from here: " SteveW, downscc has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to titled "P3D 3.4 Experience Thread". ---------------…

Hmmmmmmmm....... Train sim switching to the Unreal engine. New graphics, not backwards compatible..... Seems that at least at first its going to be three very similar trains on a single route. That will grow, eventually of course, but..... Hmmmmmmm.......

Please be very careful, when you open up your Email Client, for the next few days. There is a new spam-viral-banking/credit card information email that is being sent out over your gmail or personal carrier, if a site that you deal with has been data-mined. The text starts out with a salutation of 'Hey There', and thanks you for your 'purchase' of a product that is not specified. This has the intent to cause you alarm, with the hope that you will respond to the two live links to 'check' out your purchase, or so-called receipt. You did NOT purchase, or should need to check out the 'details' of this email. First off...if the *$*## behind this mass mailing actual…

If I want to start a small one man aircharter company with a small plane, say a C182 or similar. How much money would I really need? The cost for the 182 and anything else? I'm assuming here that I've gone to school and got my required licences and ratings. Would I need something like $300k or more like 500k and then some? I would appreciate any help here, thanks.

Something that I have been thinking for the past few days a troubling thought that continues to wonder around my mind. After seeing the progress that Airbus aircraft have had in the past few years with Aerosoft, Wilco (yes I know), and the upcoming FsLabs A320. They all seem to have in common that they want to make a line of Airbus Products featuring A330/A340. When I look at Boeing products in the other hand for the flight simulation community I can think of 3 active products being developed and some of them are just being forgotten. For example the 757 has seen the Quality Wings that did a medium level simulation with it, but I can't say I have as much fun as the 7…

Years ago I worked with a German fellow named Gunther Kirschstein at IBM. I lost track of him when I transferred and have been trying to locate him for years. I noticed that he was the Flight Dynamics guy on many planes in the files. He dropped out of site about ten years ago. Did anyone ever know him or have any idea where he may have gone? He was from Stuttgart and quite an aviator. Sure would like to find him.

Hello Can anyone tell me how an Airline, or Pilot accounts for the fuel remaining on a commercial aircraft such as a 747-400 after a flight? I assume the remaining fuel is not drained off, so it must be allowed for when calculating the fuel load for the next flight. I am an amateur flight sim enthusiast who likes to keep a record of my flight distances, fuel loads and costs etc. Thank you. Corrie

Reading Qualitywings Q3 update its now obvious their 737 300/400/500 wont come this year and not sure if in 2017... Seeking for temporary substitute i found that Wilco is marketing their 737 Evo as Supper Guppy 737 now (not sure why this is how they Call it). They say its P3D ready. There is a link on their website directing to compatybility matrix where it says 737 Evo is P3D 1.4 only and not for v2 nor v3. But the table refers to Evo not the Super Guppy. Has anybody purchesed its most recent variant and tested it under P3D v3? Info would be highly appreciated. Regards, Kris

Preflight, setting switches, inputting flight data, take off, set autopilot. Get into your personal automobile, after unplugging it from the mains. Tell the "Uber like" computer to take you to work but for fun add in the local Dunkin Doughnuts. The airplane is fully automated, the automobile is close behind. Boring..... Perhaps why that weekend in a rented old-fashioned sports car is so much fun. Or, taking the old biplane for a spin over Iowa farms is such a pleasure.

I am trying to find some info on a cross country flight someone did in the late "40's (I think) in a Piper J-3 Cub but seem to be using wrong search criteria in Google. Can someone point me in the right direction? Or am I imagining the whole thing?
