  1. Started by Blaze,

Just wanted to give a shout out to the customer service department of Simmarket since we don't hear about good service enough when t occurs. I like doing business with them everything is neat orderly and I get regular update notifications to my products. So much so that I have made over the course of many years 259 purchase with them (that's orders not products). My last order I accidentally left an item in my cart I had previously purchased, so I sent them a support ticket with the details. I expected they would credit my account but it might take a while, 24hrs response time is what they say when you file a trouble ticket with them. Well, I got an email that they receiv…

  5. Hello everyone! I am an FSX user who often uses the website fuelplanner.com to calculate the required fuel for his flights. The thing is however, that when I visited the website on the 15th of December, I was greeted with a quite unfriendly window asking me to sign against FCC's decision about net neutrality. To make things clear, I am totally against this decision, and I would happily offer my sign against it, IF IT WAS WORTH ANYTHING. You see, as this decision only affects the USA, I see no reason for someone else but the US citizens to sign against it. So, I closed the annoying and unfriendly red window I was greeted with, only to find out that I can no longer use the …

Test flight over Europe of A380 destined for Emirates produces a slightly skew tree... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/12/14/worlds-largest-passenger-plane-christmas-stunt-germany/ I wonder what causes it not to be perfectly symmetrical? In theory it knows where it is in 3 dimensions after all.

Interesting optical illusion. A bit mind blowing (for most), but is no hoax. Perhaps something we experience all the time but don't realize it. https://www.zmescience.com/science/optical-llusion-curvature-blindness-432/ All of the below lines are the same consistent smooth sine wave:

2017 will go down as one of the biggest years in simming history. Many great things and new versions (as well as new sims) were released in 2017. So what are some of the things that are wish items or expect to see in 2018. My thoughts/wishes are: XPlane 11 Native VR A2A All planes supported in P3Dv4 with native installers FSPassengers P3Dv4 support PMDG JS41 released for P3Dv4 PilotEdge Opens up into Aerofly FS2 and we get closer to having a Europe Controlled area Aerosoft The Porter is finally released GSX Small plane support by having golf cars for pax (instead of vans and buses) and no more tugs (for push back or luggage) park…

  15. The P40 Warhawk for FSW is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. However flying this beast is a different story. Much more finetuning of the FDE is needed to make this plane truly flyable. First of all one needs more than 3000 rpm to get this plane moving, taxying therefore is more or less impossible. Additionally in the air the plane is very unstable and again response to the controler inputs is over aggressive and even erratic. It is very easy to get this plane in an uncontrolable unusual attitude, resulting in a non-recoverable spin and crash. Compared to this plane the P40 of A2A is a dream to fly,

Hi Folks, I would like to have a RTW flight plan if anyone has done this. Would probably fly it in the Phenom 300, and time each segment to see how long it will take. Thinking about starting from my home airport KRDU or KIAD. Any suggestions on how to go about this will be appreciated. At this point I only have flown in USA and Europe.

i'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this topic, but i'm having a problem with the CAA South Africa approach charts. nowhere is there any mention of a RA, DH, or DA. i want to make a full auto land at RNW19 FACT, and don't know if i should use Barometric or Radio Altitude setting for the Cat11 landing. i think this is my problem as i am just assuming that it should be a RA100. i am flying the PMDG 737-800ngx and every time i land i get a touchdown of -550 to -750 fpm. this unfortunately rejects some of my flights submitted via ACARS. i also have the same issue at FAOR.

  20. First, full disclosure. Im a small (2 man crew) 3rd party dev, and yes I am making something for FSW to "test the waters". With that out of the way, let’s move on. FSW is a double edge sword for 3rd party dev's. On one hand, it’s a new possible frontier with limitless possibilities, and on the other hand, it’s an unknown risk. In a way, FSW hinges on 3rd party support, and 3rd party support hinges on FSW having active customers. It’s a "chicken or the egg" situation, and I said so to Simon (3rd party manager) in a meeting. It’s an almost impossible situation, and I truly wish Dovetail success. Their success is MY success! FSX/P3D has set the bar REALLY …

Hello! Finally my new PC is on its way (INTEL Core i7-7700K @ 4,6GHz - ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1060 6GB - 16GB RAM - 250GB ssd - 1TB hdd) and I cant wait to install FSX and all (a ton) the other things, apps, tools for it. Since I do simming for a few years now I have gathered a lot of things around FSX and I wonder if I will run into any problems with my complete hardware change.... Because there are too many programs and modules I use I thought I ask you guys if you had any problems as you changed your Hardware. Did you have any license problems or so? Thanks

Hi all. I wondered about bank angle. My question is pretty simple. When we doing approach and if we disengage autopilot, and LOC is estabilished, we will do turn for landing at centerline at Runway, right? When we do turn for the landing at centerline, we turn with standard turn bank angle?? (TAS/10+5) Thank you and please give me answer fast as possible!!

When I was growing up we were poor but we didn't know it. At the time we had no car and money was tight. Dad owned a print shop and most of the money went back into the business. In those days moms stayed home and took care of the kids and cooked and performed wifely duties like cleaning the house and cooking dinner. The following story is the time my brother Leon and I thought we were going to lose Christmas. This is one of a series of twenty or more of my boyhood stories I wrote for my grandkids. THE STAMPS It was the first day of Christmas vacation. We were sitting at the kitchen table where Mom was addressing the last of the Christmas Cards while Le…
